The entry is gorgeous and there is a playroom for toddlers! How utterly sensible. The bathrooms are also gorgeous. Of the three wholesalers we visited, this one had the largest selection in my opinion. Their warehouse is huge and the selection is very impressive. Inevitably, you go in looking for something specific but end up stumbling upon other options that you like too. Our associate, John, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He answered all of our questions fully and honestly. Overall, a very good viewing experience and I would recommend this place if you are looking to install/replace anything stone.

When I took the unused tile to the store, I was told I had to take it to the north Dallas distribution store, and only full boxes with the lot number on it was accepted. They over estimated $1000 worth of tile. That's about 30%. That alone is crazy, but then they didn't take back any partial boxes ? A couple of the employees had good customer service skills after the sale, but most did not. They were pretty good during the purchasing process, however, once you paid they were rude. I had to expedite shipping from New Jersey for extra trim pieces to finish our project by the end of the week. They said I would have them in 2 days. I got them 4 days later, which put our project off another several days because they arrived on the weekend. They told me "it's on your receipt" that they didn't take partial boxes. When I reminded them I didn't get a receipt until after I paid, I was told it's also on the email. Again, I didn't get an email until after I paid, plus they changed their policy regarding partial boxes recently. Too late for me, but maybe not for you. We have two more projects to go, but they will NOT be getting our business.

When you finally get them on the phone they will tell you that they were slammed with showroom customers, as if YOU'RE NOT ALSO A CUSTOMER. I shipped to a CA location and my grout order was busted. They resent a new bag, but it was in the wrong color. Decided to just call and order several new bags myself and was told it would be two days and three weeks later it never arrived. Lost my tiling crew to another job because of this. These people do not care. Lots of excuses. So, if you're not staring them in the face in person, don't expect ANY customer service. As for me, when dealing with the associates at Seconds & Surplus every interaction was professional and pleasant. My husband and I recently completed the build of our new home and purchased several items from Seconds & Surplus. We purchased two double iron doors, tile for our guest home, and the handles for both doors etc. After installation I had a few concerns and reached out, an associate answered the phone and said the manager was on break, but they would forward those concerns to him so that he could call me back. Honestly, I was going to hold my breath as it usually would take several days to get a call back when calling a business about a concern however when calling Seconds and Surplus the manager, Cordell called me within a few hours. He took the time to listen to my concerns and showed a genuine interest in what I had to say. He asked that he reach out later in the week as he needed to find out what he could do for me. He promptly reached out a few days later with a resolution to my issues. Shortly after speaking to him Mr. Williams, the Regional Vice President reached out via email. He was very professional and even took the time to send me some links on one of the rare concerns I had. I was very shocked and pleased that someone in his position took the time to not only apologize for those few minor concerns but take a moment out of his day to make sure they were all taken care of. Thank you both for making my experience with my purchases and concerns pleasant interactions. Sincerely, Dinah Black "Happy Customer"

Don't get me wrong, everything looks good, but the quality and craftsmanship of each product is low grade. We had to replace the faucet because the sprayer stopped working. We got a Kohler instead and couldn't be happier. Our farmhouse sink just doesn't drain properly. There isn't enough slope from the 4 corners of the sink to drain downwards towards the drain. You have to use your hand to move any food towards the drain. The Craftsman door though looks beautiful is poor insulated which cheap weather strips, not a tight seal. Here's the bottom line, if you want save a few bucks I guess, and don't care about quality, just looks, then this place is for you and for house flippers who put the cheap stuff in their homes when they rent them or sell them.
