The sales person was always friendly and helpful. But corporate needs to either retrain or replace their service department. Our tub started leaking only a month outside the warranty. Three visits later yielded no resolution--they still couldn't identify the issue. One of the repair guys had an attitude and a flimsy reason for the leak ("It's only condensation"). After tightening a few pipes the problem worsened and our tub completely drained out shortly thereafter. Our friend, who is a pool guy, spotted the issue immediately, replaced the correct parts and was done in a short time. Sadly a lot of water was wasted up until our friend fixed it but we learned enough to not recommend this place. read more

Aqua paradise lies about their products, to make sale. No such thing as "medical grade jacuzzi" - that's on me for not being able to do research. (Challenging eyesight issues) The tub jets on legs (the purpose of medical grade hydrotherapy) are more like a garden hose on trickle. Multiple refills of water- due to RASH from getting in and trying different "agents" for filtering the water. Tub leaked a foot of water overnight. No one could figure out why. Requested return and was told in writing, "no room in warehouse". Then nothing! Refused to accept certified letter! Buyer be aware!! Not worth headache! read more

My wife and I recently decided to get a hot tub and we started our search at Aqua Paradise in Rancho Bernardo. This was our first stop looking at a hot tub and went in with the expectation of not yet buying and doing our due-diligence. We met Lee at the store, he is amazing! He spent a lot of time with us, educating us on all the details and differences in models and was probably among the most low-pressure salesmen I've ever dealt with. There was no rushing to make a decision, nothing like 'if you don't get it now, I'm not sure I can still get this price', etc. Instead, he took his time with us, really understood what we were looking for and how to get the best bang for our budget. Not only that, but he even encouraged us to look at other stores/brands and asked me to email him what we liked about anything else we saw...which we did. From there, he replied with long and detailed emails comparing and contrasting the models we liked from his store, and truly helping us to understand what was better, what was equal, and what was just marketing buzz. This help and advice was invaluable in our search. Ultimately, Lee put us in the best model for us and I felt confident the price we received was the best possible, and he fast-tracked the delivery so we had it in about a week. On top of that, he gave me a lot of information regarding setting up my electrical and the area for the hot tub and it's dimensions including the space needed for the lid-lifter mechanism (I was putting next to my house). The delivery crew was great dropping it off, and soon after an Aqua Paradise technician (not a farmed out subcontractor) came by to do final hook up, install the top and lifter, fill with water, correctly add the chemicals, full rundown of controls, and review the periodic water chemical process with my wife and I. This was a true white glove service. I can't say enough great things about Lee Martin and the staff at Aqua Paradise, as well as the best in class hot tub that we purchased and have used daily since getting it. Lee has also followed up with me a couple times to ensure satisfaction and ask if I had any questions on the hot tub features, functions, chemicals. What make it better is the experience and service I've received through Aqua Paradise. The cleaning service is awesome. After 5 months I decided to get it clean as we use the tub around 4 or 5 days a week. As I watch our tub get serviced I noticed they are detailed in the cleaning procedure. I bought my Jacuzzi couple years ago from the store in rancho bernardo. I know Zack and Jay and they are the best. Very knowledgeable and friendly and gave me excellent customer service. They did not high pressure me but gave me a lot of valuable info to allow me to make a better choice. I bought this for my new home and its actually my favorite thing at my house!! Every once in a while a sub comes in to "save the day", so to speak! I had been dealing with 2 different spa specialist and the insurance company for a year and 2 months. After hearing for the upteenth time there was no hope of getting the back ordered motor I decided to just finally accept the cash out payment. I looked up an authorized Jacuzzi dealer and called Aqua Paradise and I am SO glad I did! Lee walked me through the possible scenarios that my error code was indicating. None of which included a motor! He asked me to takes pictures of the 3 motors for verification of the age of the jacuzzi, so ensure that they would have all the possible parts on the truck. Within a week Kevin arrived and proceeded to repair the jacuzzi with a $75 part rather than the $300+ motor that the other 2 subs were trying to sell me. I'm surprised this place gets so many good reviews, especially from people who recently purchased spas at the end of 2020/beginning 2021. They actually received their tubs within a reasonable time period (??) The first review I read, the guy was enjoying his tub in April that he bought in December. How did that happen? We were told the wait would be approximately 3 months--when we purchased ours 5 months ago. Now, suddenly our wait has been extended to January of next year, with production starting end of December. I understand that there are slowdowns due to Covid and other issues. But what customer wants to be jerked around by being given an "estimated" delivery in 3 months when the salesman KNEW that wasn't a good time frame. Hmmm....maybe he just wanted to guarantee a sale, no matter that it's not based on realistic expectations. I am so unhappy with them at this point, but backing out now will mean starting over again and experiencing an even longer wait with another dealer. But they know this, too. I realize there are bigger issues in the world at the moment, but I am not a "Karen" complaining just to get my way. Like many people I just want to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of a spa for my aching muscles. And some mental relief from caring for two elderly parents. If you haven't already decided where to purchase your spa, consider how long you are willing to wait--and ask more questions from the sales person. I wish I had. If you just assume you're being handed reasonable expectations, ask for an up-front ETA. It's becoming more obvious that companies these days don't do business based on "honesty is the best policy". My interactions with Andy and his help in allowing me to figure out the best choice for our family was his strong suit. I studied several brands from Dimension One to Hot Springs to finally Sundance and Jacuzzi. I purchased a J345 Jacuzzi as it was sized right for our location and the jets provide a hydrotherapy and control of adding air or not to the jets. The design is classic and the dome in the middle provides stability for my wife to secure her body in her seat. It also feels great on the legs and feet as well. Aqua Paradise is close to my Point Loma home and that is a plus should I have any issues to address. The team there has been very professional and supportive reaffirming my decision to pull the trigger and buy their product without any buyer's remorse. Got our spa from Agua Paradise Jacuzzi after shopping around several other brands. We wanted a smaller one, and we found that most other manufacturers don't put as much emphasis and features in smaller ones as they do in the big ones. Jay at the Rancho Bernardo store was very patient with us and explained the many features very clearly. After deciding and purchasing the 400 Series the spa was set up at home by Zac (who is now in the sales end) and in spite of this being my third spa, Zac had to come back a couple times to re-show me how to use some features because of my stupidity. Although I felt that return calls were beyond the "call of duty" he did them with a smile. The staff and service people at Aqua Paradise were friendly and cordial, and even gave me a suggestion to try to fix the problem. Hopefully they will improve so they can earn 5 stars, for this repair I'm giving 3 stars. I called Aqua Paradise because they are the authorized Jacuzzi repair shop and I have an older Jacuzzi and the "FL" indicator was on, meaning the pressure switch has issues. I have a Covermate spa cover and the technician started to pop out the screw caps to unscrew the wood screws holding the cover hinge on so he could diagnose and do the repair. Knowing this will weaken the cover hinge mounting and damage the cabinet, I asked him to instead remove the hinge bolt, this worked because my spa cover was installed properly. After some time of diagnostics I was told the spa needed a new main circuit board the cost the part would be around $500+ plus an additional $85 for each hour of labor plus another $40 trip fee. Being an engineer, I asked to tech to try testing with the pressure switch bypassed open instead of closed, after around on hour of additional debug he agreed it may be only the pressure switch. He drained the spa, replaced the defective switch with a generic pressure switch he had on the truck, and I refilled the spa. The bottom line it was around a $250 repair. I was able avoid an up sale to a new spa or probably $1000 additional repair cost for a new circuit board after which it would still need a pressure switch anyway. I was told a new Jacuzzi costs $9,000 to $12,000, I estimate I pay $125+ extra per month in electricity for this older model, it would take several years to break even by lowering energy costs so I can wait while this wonderful spa keeps working. read more

The thing about Jay is that he is a real pleasure to do business with---super helpful in EVERY step of the process. I'd give him an A+ for all the help via text that he's given me in the last few days with the install and set up. Folks, he's the real deal. Avoid the guys at the Fair who fly in to do business and take off....and take your $ with them. Jay is local. I'm SO glad I didn't get suckered into a tub at the Fair....I was so close. I got a much better deal and a much better tub with Jacuzzi at Aqua Paradise. Sure, there are other dealers in town....and I don't want to disparage anyone's business.
