    Birria Bowl
    Alexandria M.

AQ Tacos in Chino absolutely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I noticed how spotless and welcoming the restaurant was. The dining area was clean, organized, and had such a fresh, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel appreciated as a customer, which always makes the experience even better. The food was incredible and every bite was packed with flavor. Not only was everything delicious, but the presentation was stunning. My bowl was filled with vibrant, fresh colors that immediately caught my eye--the bright guacamole, juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, perfectly seasoned rice, creamy beans, grilled corn, pickled onions, fresh crema, and tender, flavorful birria all came together to create a meal that looked just as amazing as it tasted. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and you could tell they don't cut corners on quality. The Birria was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the guacamole was rich and creamy, the vegetables were crisp, and the house salsa added just the right amount of smoky, bold flavor without overpowering the rest of the dish. Every bite had the perfect balance of textures and flavors. It's rare to find a place that nails both presentation and taste, but AQ Tacos does exactly that. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the attention to detail really shines through in every dish they serve. Whether you're looking for an incredible taco, burrito, or a loaded bowl like mine, this place delivers on every level. If you're anywhere near Chino and craving authentic, fresh Mexican food made with care, AQ Tacos is an absolute must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back again and again!

For a freshly opened restaurant the service was good, and the ambiance inside is clean. The food is decent, but could use some tweaking on portions for the price. I got the bowls using a BOGO coupon they sent out in the mail. Total was ~$18, so in this case 9$ per bowl, so not bad this time around. As someone who frequents places in LA like Leo's Tacos, I'm not excited with the flavor and texture of the al pastor, and the meat portion of the bowl is small for 18$ normally, with the meat borderline hidden underneath some of these other toppings. It's nice plating and I appreciate the variety of ingredients, but I'd expect the meat to be where any Mexican restaurant let's their skills and flavors shine. The sauces all seem to be original flavors and house-made and I really enjoyed those, especially the green one. If the meat portions and flavors are tweaked I'd be happy to get this bowl again. I was also similarly shocked when I saw other reviews talking about the $10 per taco. Not even in the most vibey-silverlake attempts at reinterpreting Mexican cuisine would I entertain $7 a taco, let alone $10. I really miss the Taco Man near Euclid before they relocated to Upland since I think they had their flavors and saudes down to a science. For tacos in this area, I usually stick to Tacos El Juanito near Cardenas and the 60. Pure flavor and none of the fuss. Angel's Tijuana Tacos is also not too far over in Riverside, so the competition for flavor is fierce. Would love the option for cheap, flavorful street tacos here at AQ, too, especially since this plaza serves so many of the nearby suburbs. It sounds like the other reviewers are also looking for a good place to support, but I don't see myself settling for a place just because it's closeby.

I've been here three times now, and I have to say, it's always a great experience. Returning customers is a true sign of quality. The food is fresh, prepared quickly, and made with healthy ingredients and quality meats. The service is friendly, and the owners are welcoming--they even greet you personally. Supporting this local, family-run business is a no-brainer. Some might complain about the prices, but let's be honest--this is California, specifically Chino, where everything tends to be more expensive these days.

This place is a huge no for us. I was really disappointed with my experience. Paying $13 for a single taco with chips, 1 TACO!! I expected much better quality and flavor for that price on 1 taco. As you can see from the pic, the taco also wasn't very big. Unfortunately, the food lacked authenticity and had almost no flavor at all. It was bland and not what I would expect from a taco place. The only thing that was good was the tortilla, it tastes fresh, homemade. For the price, I was hoping for something fresh, flavorful, and worth the cost, but this fell far short of expectations.

I was excited to see a new restaurant open in the neighborhood and wanted to give it a try before bringing my family. Unfortunately, the pricing felt very high for what was served. A single taco was $12, and a carne asada quesadilla was $17, with a drink and a small cup of rice and beans, the total came to over $30. At those prices, I expected the food to really stand out, but it didn't. The taco was decent, but it wasn't memorable or worth the premium cost in my opinion. The portions were also smaller than expected. The menu was also very limited which could be good if the items were outstanding. The service was good, and the staff was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. However, the overall value just wasn't there for me. I wish the restaurant success, but I don't see myself returning regularly.

Very Pleasant experience at this NEW Taco spot in town. It just opened; and is Shiny and inviting. The girl at the register was friendly and the gentleman in the back (Most likely the owner) was very friendly too. I ordered the "Walking Taco" first time to have "nacho style" dish served in a bag. The Steak was perfect. The flavors you would expect were all there. But the only negative thing I would have to say was that the bag was filled with all crushed tortilla chips (the kind you would find at the bottom of a bag that was crushed). I'm no expert but it was annoying to see that all the chips were crushed. This would be my only issue with the "Walking Taco". This made the dish not so appetizing. Did I say that they are Very Friendly there. Customer Service gets 5 stars. I hope to come back to try their other menu offerings.

6/2026: chips, ribeye taco, and Birria taco.

I've been staring at the lower ratings for AQ Tacos like a confused puppy. Are we eating at the same restaurant?! So I came here for lunch hoping to get an asada burrito. I was I bit disappointed being that it's Birria and ribeye, but since I was already there I thought I'd give it a try. Honestly, I'd go back. Yes, the prices might make your wallet sweat a *little* bit, but for the quality and service? I'm good! The entire place is clean and not cluttered, you could probably eat off the floors, though I'd recommend using the tables. The service was so warm and welcoming that I felt like a VIP guest at a taco gala. Now, let's talk about the food, because it deserves being talked about: * **The Ribeye Taco:** I recommend. I was braced for those awkward, chewy chunks of steak that you have to battle with. Instead, the ribeye was sliced beautifully, flat, and was tender that practically melted in my mouth. The melted cheese in the tortilla was a nice touch. Oh and Those added Chicharrones...Oh, the *crunch*! They had that perfect, airy, crunchy texture to the ribeye taco. The grilled onions were so good especially because they were not burnt. If you like your grilled onions burnt you may want request it. They were perfect for me. I'm * **The Tortillas:** yum! I'm not a corn tortilla gal because I feel the corn flavor takes up all the flavor (I'm a burrito gal for the flour tortilla)...I was pleasantly surprised. You can instantly tell they are homemade. Well I'm not sure if they but they sure taste like it. If you've been to 5 Puntos in Boyle Heights...these tortillas reminded me of a thin version of those. They were warm, soft, pillowy, and held everything together like a delicious edible hug. * **The Birria & Consomé:** I have had my variety of Birria (growing up with Mexican friends and being married to a Mexican with like 20 Tias who all make it), though my benchmark is Birria El Cunado in Rosario...mmmm yummy! Anywho...The birria was juicy, wonderfully seasoned, and absolutely *not* dry (my biggest pet peeve!). The consume was a rich savory flavor bomb that I definitely drank the side of consume like a cup of coffee. * **The Chips:** A nice, complimentary little touch to kick off the meal. The red salsa had vibrant flavor without burning my tastebuds off. A light kick with citrus hints. I'll definitely be back for lunch.

I wanted to like this place but not my vibe. In the photo is $21 dollars of food . 1 rib eye taco ,chips and a side of beans. This is a restaurant for a certain clientele. The taco was subpar and the beans were bland . The hot sauces were actually decent and helped. I'm sorry couldn't leave a better review it's right up the street from my house .

Excellent food, excellent service and a great atmosphere and dining experience…read more I had the ceviche mixto and it was .com. Super fresh and tasty. They have a great salsa bar including roasted and seasoned white chilis. My gorgeous Lady had the shrimp tacos and they were to die for. This place is really nice but it is tucked away in the corner of a business center. But well worth searching for. If you go, get me a plate and I'll see you there. The end.

Was looking for Sunday dinner and decided to try this place for the first time…read more I went for the 2 taco combo with one shrimp taco, one fish taco, both breaded. The combo came with rice, beans, and a fountain drink. After I paid i noticed that they have fountain Pepsi, but only canned coke. Not sure if you can ask for canned coke instead of a fountain drink without an additional charge but I personally prefer coke over Pepsi. I decided to get dr. Pepper after all. What I do like is you can get some lemon, onions, and chili peppers from the condiment bar. I like chili peppers and appreciate these are free whereas I have had to pay extra for a bag of 3 elsewhere. There are also an assortment of packaged sauces as well as their prepared sauces such as Chipotle and green/red salsa. The portion sizes here are good. I took the food home to eat and was pretty full by the time I ate one taco. The condiments enhanced the meal. Rice and beans were fine. For $14 total its not a bad deal. I think if I didn't do takeout and ate at the restaurant, my breaded fish would not be soggy. However, the flavor was there. I would return to try their ceviche as that looked pretty fresh!
