One word - terrible. The manager seated us and immediately started pressuring us to order. There…read morewas a mother with a young daughter next to us who asked for a carafe but this guy brought a large bottle and opened it for them before the mom could say anything. The guy then told us that we had to order in 5 minutes or the kitchen would be closed (this was at 8pm). I called our hotel (who had recommended the place) and had them speak to the owner. We left as quickly as we could. Never going back here. Paris has many incredible restaurants. Don't waste your time and money on this one. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

You really feel like you're in Morocco with the decorations. And it's also not even that loud, which is perfect for a nice intimate dinner. Had the Kefta with Moroccan Salad and Royal Pigeon Pastilla as starters, Lamb Tagine with Seasonal Fruits and Kefta Meatball Couscous for entrées, and the Selection of Moroccan Pastries as dessert. Portions were really good and everything was super tasty. Not the absolute best food I've ever had, but I was not disappointed. Staff here are quite friendly. Even though they don't all speak English, they are very nice and helpful. And yes, they do have English menus at least. Really enjoyed Essaouira, glad I made the trip here.

I was excited for a nice dinner with my 20 y/o daughter during our mom-daughter trip to Paris. I…read moremade a reservation, putting down my credit card that would be charged 50 euros per person if we didn't comply with their 24 hour cancellation policy. Just about 4 hours prior to our dinner reservation, I received an email from Girafe, stating, "For your reservation, we have arranged a dinner at the counter, a prime spot to observe our chefs at work. You will experience a unique culinary journey, fully immersed in the art of cooking, in an atmosphere reminiscent of the lively counters!" This wasn't a culinary experience at all. We sat at the very small quiet bar, without a view of the Eiffel Tower. I feel it was unpfrofessional to tell us about the seating arrangements so late (after the cancellation policy and just a few hours prior to our reservation). When I immediately replied to the email requesting a table and even suggesting our reservation time be modified to ensure a table, we got no response. Upon arrival, the hostess explained it was because they were full when we made our reservation - well, then that's the time they should have notified us. It seems like the same happened to a couple that came in dressed beautifully for a special night out; they actually left upset after sitting at the bar next to us and not having any waiter greet them for over 15 minutes. Anyway, we ate there. Our waiter was very nice, but seemed to give more time/attention to his tables, rather than his bar patrons. It wasn't the experience I hoped for. The food and cocktails were good (but not spectacular for the price). The restaurant is beautiful, but the customer service was lacking last night.

Tip: you must ask for a table with the Eiffel Tower view. We dined downstairs in the winter (patio…read morewas closed) but had the perfect view and saw the Eiffel Tower sparkling as we are. The restaurant was pricey, but it was worth it to celebrate my best friends bday and first time in Paris. The lobster pasta was 10/10. The steak and fries were good but steak was slightly overcooked. The Crab salad was nice and refreshing- generous on the crab! Octopus was decent as well- great flavor but also slightly over overcooked. We also had a side of truffle pasta to try and it was solid. The best part was actually the dessert the passion fruit pavlova was a dream- fluffy light and bursting with flavor, it is my favorite dessert in Paris and Girafe does it well! Paris requires you to follow up with the staff when you need the bill- it's not rude, it's just how Paris is- they allow you to dine for as long as you want. Slow down and enjoy the pace of Paris!
