Girafe is absolutely worth visiting for the view. The location is stunning and one of the most beautiful dining settings in Paris, especially with the Eiffel Tower backdrop. The nutty oysters were excellent, the wine selection was impressive if you have a good budget and the service was warm and attentive. BUT That said, the entrées were unfortunately quite disappointing and did not live up to the setting or price point. AVERAGE. My recommendation would be to come for oysters, drinks, and dessert, and enjoy the spectacular atmosphere. A memorable experience for the view alone, but the main courses were the weak point of the meal. Also we booked a month out and they canceled our reservation LAST MINUTE and had to rebook and completely ignored our birthday request while other tables received. Communication with the booking service was frustrating overall. But a happy accident. Our original reservation was 8:30 switched to 10pm which was in our favor as we got the sunset and then the twinkling lights of the tower. read more

I found Girafe on my last day in Paris and was able to snag a same day reservation for 10pm less than hour before! This was probably due to it raining all day long, but a win for me! Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! Our waiter was really amazing! I'm so annoyed I can't remember his name, receipt says "Mamady T. We arrived and were greeted warmly and escorted to our table. Everyone we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We had a peek view of the Eiffel Tower from our table. I even got a great view of the tower from 1 of the bathrooms (stall at the far right end). Drinks: the pornstar martinis were amazing! We just continued ordering rounds of them. My friend also ordered a Mexican mule (Moscow mule but with tequila), he wasn't a big fan. The other guests ordered mocktails. Food: every single dish we ordered was amazing! Everything was delicious and flavorful, which was missing in a lot of the other restaurants we ate at in Paris. We ordered the entire appetizer menu of squid, codfish accras, lobster ravioli, and prawns. The lobster ravioli was the best! This could be an entree where you can enjoy a bigger portion. The Accras and prawns were really good and good portions. The squid was good but the portion was small, especially for the price. Entrees: we had the grilled octopus, lobster linguini, cod, and chicken with mashed potatoes. The octopus was the star of the show! It was nice and thick and cooked perfectly, not rubbery or chewy. It was served over a sweet potato mash/puree. It was good but I personally don't like sweet potato, so I would've preferred it over regular mashed potatoes. The lobster linguini was al dente perfection with nice chunks of lobster meat. The chicken was good and actually tasted better than it looks. Fancy place to go eat with an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower which is probably one of the highlights and amazing for pictures. You do have to reserve and also wait your turn for pictures. When cold and at night dining is inside but you can go out and if you time it perfectly you get the Tower when it lights up. Tip: you must ask for a table with the Eiffel Tower view. We dined downstairs in the winter (patio was closed) but had the perfect view and saw the Eiffel Tower sparkling as we are. The restaurant was pricey, but it was worth it to celebrate my best friends bday and first time in Paris. The lobster pasta was 10/10. The steak and fries were good but steak was slightly overcooked. The Crab salad was nice and refreshing- generous on the crab! Octopus was decent as well- great flavor but also slightly over overcooked. We also had a side of truffle pasta to try and it was solid. The best part was actually the dessert the passion fruit pavlova was a dream- fluffy light and bursting with flavor, it is my favorite dessert in Paris and Girafe does it well! Paris requires you to follow up with the staff when you need the bill- it's not rude, it's just how Paris is- they allow you to dine for as long as you want. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. We came to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and sadly the entire experience was ruined. The service from our waiter, Gules, was unacceptable from start to finish. He was rude, spoke to us disrespectfully, looked down on us, and made us feel uncomfortable whenever we asked a simple question. Whenever we asked about the food or drinks, he responded in a very snappy and dismissive manner. We have dined all over the world and have never been treated this poorly in a restaurant. Customer service was completely lacking. The biggest issue was the sea bass. We were assured it had been filleted, yet we found around 12 bones in the fish. This is completely unacceptable, especially after specifically being told it was filleted. When we raised the issue with both our waiter, Gules, and the manager, Geoffroy, their response was, "What do you expect? A fish will have bones." While we understand that an occasional bone can be missed and would expect one or two at most, we found around 12 bones in just half of the sea bass we had eaten. That is not what anyone would reasonably expect from a filleted fish. Geoffroy came over, saw all the bones himself, but didn't offer to replace the half-eaten sea bass or even offer to re-fillet it. Instead, he offered us a free dessert, but by then the experience had already been ruined. A complimentary dessert does not make up for poor service, an unsafe dining experience, and the dismissive attitude we received. To make matters worse, Geoffroy simply said he would "have a word" with the waiter later, which did little to address how poorly we had been treated. We expected far better customer service and a genuine effort to resolve the situation. The only positive thing about this restaurant was the stunning view. Service: 0/10 Food: 0/10 View: 10/10 Sadly, what should have been a special birthday celebration became a very disappointing experience. We had a lovely dinner at Girafe! Unfortunately it had rained earlier in the day, so they closed all outdoor dining. Everyone was seated inside. Of course we were disappointed since the whole point here is to be seated on the terrace with an amazing view of the Eiffel tower. The waitress let us know that there are something like 80 seats outside, but only 60 inside so they don't risk rain and then not being able to move everyone inside. It makes sense, but was still disappointing. Besides that we had an amazing dinner. Our server was super friendly and great at explaining the menu. The champagne of course was spot on as were her wine recs. We took her suggestions and started with the shrimp and cauliflower, both were super flavorful and delicious. For the main we went with the sea bass for two and it was melt in your mouth awesome. Unfortunately it still had some bones in it, but that is the risk you always take with whole fish. The restaurant is located right outside the exit of the Metro station inside the building ( you can see the stairs to the building from the exit of the metro station; climb the stairs and straight inside you get to Girafe) and that kind of made it convenient though it took us a bit to get in there. Rain Gods went in full blaze and as a result the outside seating was closed though the inside seating is pretty well done and the interiors really make it standout. We ordered yellowtail sashimi, king prawn, crab salad and the Sea Bream ceviche. The salad and prawn seemed to taste ok though the rest of the dishes really stood out especially the ceviche with the sauce. You do get to see the Eiffel Tower in the background and that seems to be reflected in the bill as it turns out to be definitely on the higher side ( much higher for food that is good not astonishing) with the food not necessarily being in the same league. ps: The toilets are located at the entrance to the restaurant ( take the stairs downstairs and turn right) where a flight of stairs takes you to them. read more

Originally, we booked this for the view of the Eiffel Tower during dinner. However, our table had a bit of an obstructed view because of the statue that was blocking the Eiffel Tower. Granted, you can still see the Eiffel Tower if you move to the edge of your table, but it's off to the side while seated. So, if you're expecting to take pictures at the table with the Eiffel Tower in the background, make sure to ask the hostess not to seat you at the 2 middle tables. The food was just OK. We had the seafood platter, a salad and fish. My favorite was the side of truffle linguine. The drinks were amazing and I definitely recommend the pomegranate pornstar martini, as it seems to be the drink to get in Paris. It was our first time in Paris and we HAD to dine at La Suite Girafe. It's a MUST! My husband and I wanted a dining experience where we had the Eiffel Tower in the background (especially for pictures) and a romantic ambiance. We got just that here! We are from the United States and researched how to get a reservation because apparently it's difficult. (TikTok says you can only make reservations one week before desired day.) When we arrived, we were seated immediately. Took the elevator to the terrace and we were blown away! The views of the Eiffel Tower sparkling and the exclusive feel of the terrace made for a perfect date night with my husband. Ok now onto the food. TikTok users raved about the lobster pasta. So I perused the menu and couldn't find what I thought was going to be a small lobster pasta entree on the menu. What I did find was "Homard Bleu, Linguines, Tomates, Aromates" for 280 euros on the menu. Yikes!!! What the heck, $280 for blue lobster pasta?! The pasta is for two, but still!! TikTok users didn't say that. So I was a little disappointed because I came specifically for "lobster pasta". My husband and I ended up ordering it. It was good! But definitely not worth $280. Service sucks!!! Maybe it's a European thing, but every restaurant we went to, we saw our waiter in the beginning and then had to flag them down throughout the night, and that's IF the waitstaff was in eye view. Great food with stunning Eiffel Tower view! It was not easy getting a reservation for evening dining at La Suite Girafe, as everything looked fully booked for the dates I wanted. I didn't give up and put in a request, and luckily got off the wait list. You have to put down a credit card to secure your reservation. I'm glad I did! Restaurant is located right by Trocadero square inside a building in that has some sort of exhibits. We went into the restaurant and up the elevator to go to the fancier section called La Suite Girafe. There were lots of delicious options on the menu. We decided to splurge and ordered the blue lobster pasta for 2 which was a whopping 280 euros but it was beautifully presented and a ton of food!! The octopus was also super yummy, and scallops were good too...just somewhat small portion. We got the truffle pasta side dish which was tiny but very rich so we probably couldn't have eaten a bigger portion. The house bread was just ok...but can't really complain because it was free. Desserts were good and nicely presented. They brought a sparkler with our dessert for our celebration, which was a fun touch. read more

I have to warn everyone. Do NOT go to this restaurant. What happened to us was honestly disgusting, and I'm still upset thinking about it. The waiters were straight up racist to us. Not subtle, not "maybe I'm reading into it, they said things to our faces, swore at us, made comments that had nothing to do with bad service and everything to do with how we looked. I've eaten out a lot and dealt with rude staff before, but this was different. This was personal and it was ugly. And here's the part that really gets me. When we tried to bring it up with the managers, they didn't care. They weren't neutral, they weren't even just unhelpful, and they sided with the waiters. It felt like the managers were in on it, like they were covering for their staff instead of taking us seriously. We never got an apology. Not one word of "I'm sorry that happened" or "let us make this right." Nothing. They even threatened to kick us out of the restaurant. That's the part that makes this worse than just one bad employee having a bad night. When the people in charge back up that kind of behavior instead of addressing it, it tells you everything about how this place is run from the top down. So please, save yourself the experience. Avoid this place at all costs. No one should have to sit through what we went through, and no one should have to fight just to be treated like a human being while paying for a meal. read more

And I was excited to dine here with my friend who recently moved to Paris, France and I came for a visit. when we arrived we were greeted warmly with such elegance. The place is beautiful, with elegant design and architectture with the gorgeous view of the tour de Eiffel. We elected to dine outdoors and was escorted nicely to our table. Our servers greeted us with smiles and explained the menu. We were immediately served some water and bread & butter. We elected to order a couple of cocktails and a few delicious items from their menu for our appetizer and entree... please view the photos because I cannot even put it into words how amazing it was! It was mind blowing tastes and freshness. Overall, we had the most wonderful time enjoying our drinks, food, conversations and the ambiance of this place is phenomenal. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars!! The food was mouthwatering. Here I am 1 month later wishing they had a New York location! The ambiance was lovely at dinner, the terrace was not open due to the cold temperatures in the evening so only the dining room was open. We ordered the beef filet and lobster linguine and they were cooked to perfection. We also had the waffle to share, it was a tasty sweet to end the night. I have to say, Pablo was not our waiter but he was so special, so cheerful and made those around him smile! Great with my one year old daughter who he made smile. The only positive is that if -- and that's a big if -- you manage to get a good table, you'll have a nice view of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre and bland. You'll find much better quality at a regular Parisian café, and this restaurant definitely does not deserve the hype or attention it gets. We met up with some friends who decided to make a reservation here. Fancy place with a nice view of the Eifel Tower. (As you can see in the pic, the view was spectacular!) Our staff was helpful with the menu. He was fluent in English which is a plus. I picked the lamb and Hubby had the fish (whole) that he shared with a friend and it was delicious! I made this reservation two weeks in advance, so I was really disappointed with how things were handled upon arrival. When we got there, we were offered a table outside with no heaters, in 10°C weather. I pointed out that it would obviously be too cold, especially when there were at least four other tables available with heaters right next to them. I was told those tables were reserved, including one supposedly for a wedding. However, while having this conversation, I watched the hostess seat two women at one of those "reserved" heated tables, clearly not a wedding party. There was no apology and no real effort to resolve the situation. Instead, we were offered another table a few meters away, still without heaters, and told it would be "warm enough" or that we could use blankets. I understand that people come here for the view, but it felt like that's exactly why the staff think they can treat customers however they want. There was no respect, no transparency, and no willingness to help, and this attitude was coming directly from management, which makes it even worse. read more

This place was amazing. Not often do you find a restaurant close to a prime tourist location (aka Eiffel Tower) which has amazing food. This was it. It was it!!! Reminded me a lot of the NED in London. Amazing. So fancy. I didn't have a reservation but the hostess was so nice and got us bar seating. Same thing. Same view. Same good. The outside was closed during the winter so we didn't see the view of Eiffel Tower but the food was absolutely amazing. We hard the octopus and the truffle pasta. My Experience at Giraffe was one level below excellent. From the host to to the servers was really amazing, I rate it a 9/10. The Staff were very nice and helped out with a lot of recommendations. The Food was very good and tasted very fresh and filled with tenderness and various flavors during each bite. Lastly Ambiance was very nice having the view of the Eiffel Tower especially lighting up was a plus to the experience. The only reason why it's not a 10/10 is because when I was paying for the bill I seen two mice running around the table next to me. Which everyone seem to treat it like its normal. Disappointed and offended on our honeymoon. Won't return. Full review below, do not recommend, especially considering the price point. We were excited to dine at Girafe during our honeymoon--drawn by its reputation for refined cuisine and its iconic view of the Eiffel Tower. The food lived up to expectations: fresh, flavorful, and artfully plated. The setting itself is undeniably beautiful, and the terrace offers one of the best views in Paris. Our server was wonderful--attentive, kind, and professional throughout. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the hosting staff and management, whose behavior significantly detracted from our experience and left us feeling overlooked on what was supposed to be a special night. Despite noting in our reservation that we were celebrating our honeymoon, we were seated directly beside the busy prep station--one of the worst tables in the restaurant--with no view and constant staff traffic. At least two-thirds of the restaurant sat empty during our meal. We politely asked to be moved and were told the other section was closed. Not two minutes later, another couple (also seated by the prep station) was moved to that very section after making a similar complaint. It became so obvious that we could and should be moved that one of the servers pointed to the hostess and said she needed to move us too. Eventually, we were relocated--without any ceremony, celebration, or even a simple "congratulations." Not that we expected a big fuss, but the lack of warmth and the condescending attitude from the host staff was disappointing and out of place for a fine dining establishment. We weren't sure why this restaurant had 3.9 stars. Now we understand. We expected a memorable evening and instead left feeling disrespected and disappointed. Girafe has the potential to offer an extraordinary experience, but the front-of-house management failed us completely. Sadly, we won't be back. I won't lie, the views and atmosphere at Girafe are great! If it's your first time in Paris, this is a nice place to visit for an upscale dinner. The majority of diners were tourists. Thankfully, all of the hosts and waiters spoke English. A reservation is definitely required, so book far in advance. There are various seating times each night. We came right before sunset. Since everyone at the restaurant is seated at the same time, service is hectic. Our waiter was balancing several tables, so we had to flag him down for every request. As for food, the truffle linguine tasted good but was a little dry. The bar was very slow at delivering drinks. I recommend the espresso martini or aperol spritz. TIP: Bread is complimentary, but you have to request it. Ask for butter, balsamic, and oil on the side. A service fee was not included in our bill, so the waiter asked us for a tip. Since he knew we were American, he suggested a 20% tip. We left 10% and the waiter was happy. A 5-10% tip is customary in Paris, so don't fall for that scam. read more

Located on the 9th floor of the Cité de l'Architecture and Heritage Centre, "La Suite Girafe" or LSG for those who know it well, is the former flat of the curator who had a private terrace with a panoramic view of the whole of Paris in the 1930s. It now has 100 seats and is open for lunch and dinner. Not to mention perfect views of the Eiffel Tower. In terms of cuisine, as in the case of its parent company, the emphasis is on iodine, with ever more refined dishes that give pride of place to the products. Like a Parisian seahouse , LSG offers a contemporary marine cuisine with seafood, raw and cooked fish in all their forms. Their service was exceptional & the greatest asset Girafe has is the location where the view of the Eiffel tower from the patio is amazing. Unfortunately, it rained on Saturday which dampened (pun) our experience. My Negroni was made well while my wife's mocktail (Triomphe) was quite good according to her. We shared the crispy prawn and the crabmeat torteau for appetizers. She had the Sea bass fillet while I had the grilled octopus as mains with a side of truffle linguine. For desert, we shared the mango & passion fruit Pavlova. This was a restaurant that I would experience just once because it was rather pricey. read more

I made a reservation to be seated outside but since its winter, they had it close and so I requested to be seated facing the eiffel tower which requires for him to ask his manager first as it's been "reserved". I made a reservation to be seated there by the way, and guess what? Nobody sat there the entire time were there. Amazing. 2: FOOD IS MEDIOCRE. Nothing great about it. A bit difficult to get into Girafe, they don't usually answer their calls or respond to emails or DMs, however hotels or associates can help you get the in. Girafe was beautiful, some of the best views of the effiel tower. Service was a bit slow however food was amazing. We ordered a bottle of champagne which was paired toast and some sort of delicious fish paste. For apps we started with Salmon Bellini which was incredibly fresh. One of my most favorite restaurants in all of Paris. Sure it's super touristy, a little overpriced, but the view of the Eiffel Tower can't be beat. The food is pretty good, I'm not a huge fan of French food, but the food is decent. We were there our first night in Paris. It was highly recommended because of view of Eiffel tower lighting up. Food was just ok for the $$$$ prices. I felt our server rushed us through dinner. Worse than that when check came he reached over my husband and hit to give himself tip without him noticing. I think this is extremely rude. We don't mind tipping but I'm not a fan of being asked for a tip which is a common practice in the aggressive French. I was lucky enough to be able to come here as part of a special collaboration with Chase Sapphire Reserve during the Olympics. To start, you're paying for the view, but what a view it is. You look out and see the Eiffel Tower lording over Paris. The food itself is very good but also pretty expensive. For a starter, we had the yellowtail sashimi and it was the best part of the meal. I don't normally like sushi or sashimi but I would've been happy with that as a main. For the main, I got the steak which, while incredibly delicious, was a small portion for the €60 I paid. Luckily, I made it early enough so we got the reservation, but I never received a confirmation email so I wasn't even sure we got the reservation. I emailed them about 4 times to ask if my reservation was confirmed and finally got one response after the 5th email and literally the day before my reservation. I live in the US, so I didn't call and was just relying on email. Despite the lack of communication, the experience being there was amazing! I loved everything about this place. Saw it on instagram and had to book it for my party of 6. We did the night time seating at 10pm so that we could see the the Eiffel tower sparkle at 11pm. We had an amazing seat with great views, great food, and awesome service and ambiance. Our waiter was also funny and attentive. We were here until about 1am!! I ordered the CÔTE DE BŒUF SIMMENTAL, POMMES GRENAILLE POUR 2 (SIMMENTAL PRIME BEEF, BABY POTATOES FOR 2 POUR 2 / FOR 2) and shared it with the table along with a side of the truffle linguini. I can never have too much truffle because I don't like mushroom, but I figured when in France, i'll try it... and it was to die for. I still think about it and wish that I got that as my main dish. Very disappointed. Average food, table with no view of the Eiffel Tower. Competent server, but stiff, unfriendly management staff. Rather spend my money at LuoLuo...no view, but better food. read more
