The techs seem confused most of the time and are not very knowledgeable. Salesman was a door to door guy (that should have been the first sign NOT to engage). Only interested in treating the ants invading the kitchen counter, We signed up, had two sprays but cancelled as we had another provider that does a great job with fleas, ticks and mosquitos. When I cancelled I was charged 199 which was my savings offered on the very first spray, and now I have to pay for the savings??? with salestax?? And I cancel because I cannot afford it anymore? Does this make any sense to anyone? Not to us. Stay away, better companies, more transparent companies out there. read more

BE AWARE - customer service is a serious problem. Call center gets scared of handling simple issues (like confirming dispatch or service questions).and puts you on hold to connect with Sales Consultants (sometimes they come on but sometimes you just hang on indefinitely until you hang up). Latest instance, after more than 1/2 a dozen confirmations of appt with a service window, tech never showed, then I get multiple msgs saying I can re-schedule since I missed the appt. The salesperson who came to my door rattled off a few fake names of my neighbors they we're "working with," and when I told him I had a work call to join he said "yeah I'll just be two seconds" before he went off on his pitch for a few minutes. Never once asked for my time before speaking but I guess that's how this job operates these days. When I said for the fourth time I was busy and I wouldn't commit to anything on the spot without talking to my spouse anyway (who wasn't home) he finally got the door slammed in his face when he told me to "call her up." I would not recommend this overpriced company to my worst enemy. They charge 189$ every 5-6 weeks even through the off season. The mosquitos didn't decrease at all!! They did take down a wasp nest that I pointed out so that was great. This just isn't worth the price. I'm so upset I got into a contract. Take my advice do not sign up. Whatever they're selling and spraying, laying is not worth what you will pay for. When you cancel, even if they do a half job you will pay 199$. They didn't haggle me to stay because they're trash! Wow- a HORRIBLE customer experience. I booked an appointment for an estimate last week. The price given over the phone was high but I don't mind paying of the service works. I had an appointment scheduled for 4 days later but the next day, I found another service that came recommended from friends and was half the price. Plus they could get to me next day, so I cancelled with Aptive (2-days before the scheduled visit). Two days later, on Friday, the tech shows up for the quote and to sign the paperwork. I told him I cancelled with the cust service rep via email and he said he was not notified. He thanked me and said he would call that rep to cancel everything out in the system and left. He was polite and professional. A few moments ago, I received a message that "we heard you are thinking of cancelling your account...." so I called again to notify them I was cancelling. This is now the THIRD time I cancelled. I was transferred to the "customer loyalty" department and told I qualified for a "price reduction". Why didn't you offer that to me up front? I told the rep I went with another service and just wanted my number removed from the system. She said she was "sorry" this happened and told me she cancelled everything out. Great! Then she said "I even waived the early termination fee for you". I said "what fee? I never signed a contract and was told, and have an email that says this, that the quote is free and there is no obligation until I sign a contract. I don't owe anything". She replied "well it's done and again, I waived that for you as a courtesy". Huh? An early termination fee for what? I never signed a contract, never had a service performed.....and you think you did me a courtesy by saying I owed something I didn't owe? And by making me cancel a THIRD TIME? Thought I'd try this outside exterminators as my yard has thousands of spiders ticks fleas etc. first service was great the service guy was able to reach underneath my roof line ridding my sightline of disgusting spiderwebs n eggs. The next 2 services both men told me that they can't reach and they are not able to use a ladder. Needless to say, that is where I have an issue as the cobwebs n eggs are out of their reach so there's no point having them here again. And of course they do not do anything inside so I guess for my property they are useless. read more

My experience is from a couple of years ago. They charged $90 every treatment, and they did a treatment every 3 months. We did sign a 1-year contract. If the bugs returned in between treatments, they said they would come and do a repeat free of charge. But it was difficult to get one of those as it seemed there wasn't ever any tech available to come do it. So you had to wait until the next regular interval treatment basically. The techs were very cordial, but, like somebody else mentioned, there was no consistency with the treatments--it was as if they got little to no training. They were done in 10-15 minutes. The salesmen who approached me and I ultimately signed up with always responded to my concerns. Cancelling went smoothly. My wife and I figured with a little effort and research we could buy our own stuff for bug control (our concern was just fleas) and save $$$. I rated them a 3 because of scheduling issues for a repeat treatment, high prices and techs performing the treatments in a quick 10-15 minutes. What a racket. read more

I have used Aptive for about 4-5 years now with no issues until this past June. I was receiving 4 treatments a year until this year when they started coming every 50 days. They came in May and then again in June. I refused service before they started. Service guy claimed he notified company yet I was still charged. I called to tell them the situation and received no calls back. I called for 2 days until finally customer service answered. The service guys lied and said they treated my property when they didn't. Really weird exchange with a sales consultant today that came knocking at my door trying to hard sell me on some sort of insect spraying services. Came to knock multiple times while I was trying to take conference calls, triggering my dogs to keep barking, and was strolling to and from my neighbors' houses directly across the lawns. I nicely tried to say no thanks a few times especially as my dogs were going berserk and then he proceeded to get annoyed / confrontational that I didn't want them to spray for spiders???? It was super weird and unprofessional. Also the whole sales pitch was that he was "in the area doing our next door neighbors' house and wanted to do ours while his truck was out this way". It was raining and I didn't see his truck near the neighbors house he was allegedly doing a service on. It was obviously BS. The funniest part to me was that as I was closing the door to get back to work he was like "I can literally see spider webs on your porch." There was like one spider web. As if that was going to sell me on some nondescript services. Yeah, spiders exist man, they can chill on my porch idc. Wonderful experience with Jeff who followed up with us regarding a recent pest control visit. Jeff went out of his way to check for pest return because he was in the area. We also were aware our neighbor had pests too so Jeff called his office and he was able to take care of them as well. Neighbors were also very grateful for Jeff. After the initial treatment, the quality of the service drastically declined. The "technician" Aptive sent over is not professional and couldn't tell the differences between cricket and roaches. They asked for your bank info instead of credit card to make you pay for their services, and I don't have access to my account, not even account number, until I called to cancel the service. DO NOT leave your personal info with these people. They go digital on everything, so that you won;t have access to the contract you signed. During the visit, they will just scroll the pages on IPAD and made you sign, and I didn;t even have the copy of contract 3 days after I signed it. and yes, you will miss the time frame to cancel the service without penalty, which is 72 hours!!!! read more
