There are so many items here in very good snacks that are healthy and unhealthy that you can't go wrong. Whatever you're looking for they have it here. They have a carousel and a train for family fun and they have a candy shop that has ice cream in different coffee drinks in it. I was just amazed to see this attraction when we drove up. There's also a great restaurant here and people come to eat here often because we saw it and it was packed. I highly recommend if you see Casa de Fruta, stopping by to enjoy this attraction.

They had display upon display of glazed & seasoned nuts, gourmet chocolate almonds, dried fruit, preserves & fruit sauces and bread dipper oil & vinegar. They also had some really nice gift baskets with the above mentioned offerings. I was told that this location in McHenry Village is temporary, just for the holiday season. I purchased some pistachios and a peach pepper sauce that can be served over cream cheese as a spread for crackers or bread. That contrast made me realize how important it is to give credit where it's due, especially after calling out bad service somewhere else. Sunnyside absolutely deserves praise. From the moment we walked in we were met with kind helpful people who were actually attentive and happy to assist. There was no attitude or indifference, just friendly efficient service. The team here clearly cares about what they do and about the customers walking through the door. The produce is fresh vibrant and well-organized, with a great mix of organic and local options that are thoughtfully stocked. Everything looked clean and cared for from the shelves to the displays, and it made shopping here feel relaxed and enjoyable. The prices are solid too, better than most other local places when you factor in the quality. It does not feel overpriced, and you actually leave with the sense that you got value for your money. What stood out the most to me is the atmosphere. This place has a soul. You are not just shopping, you are being welcomed. That is rare. Late May, 2024. Found this produce stand on our way from Sequoia National Park to Santa Cruz, CA. I…read morewas attracted by the variety of (especially) fresh fruit and some vegetables, while my husband immediately headed to the area with all sorts of nuts. A few of the items that we purchased were bargain-priced. For instance, we got four gigantic fresh and sweet navel oranges for only 75-cents/lb., tasty white corn on the cob (4/$1, for the first 12), and small avocados (10/$1, limit 20). We also got yummy fresh apricots, pecans in their hard shells, and quite a few bags of roasted nuts for snacking. The market was clean and well-organized, and the young woman at the check-out counter was very friendly. After checking out, we enjoyed some apricots at one of their roadside picnic tables that was set up next to a small garden. Parking was sufficient, even for our small class B RV.
