5/10/2025, Stopped at this quaint fruit stand in Hollister. California on the way to Stanford University Native American PowWow because they were SELLING 20 SMALL AVOCADO for $1.00 I bought 40. They are located along the highway in the valley so of course they keep sheep on the property. I added their snapshot to this post.

Uh yea no it's a scam. Saw $1 per package of cherries and this was wat they meant. Like there was only a couple in a little box.

We made a pit stop here and were pleasantly surprised. Got a variety of veggies chips, avocados 8 for 5$, persimmon 6 for 2$, honey. The lady in the store was so nice and friendly! She offered us some honey samples and afterwards I got some to take home too! There were some cute goats in front. They have a lot of produce, nuts, sauces, dried fruits and veggies, honey etc. Would stop by! Had a nice time!

This is a farmers market located in an 1857 historical building which housed a tavern, telegraph operation and stage coach station. In 1873, a post office and toll road was added and it became Bell Station. This building had sat vacant for many years until a farmers market opened inside about 5 years ago. They're on highway 152 and the only thing for miles for those traversing interstate 5 to reach the Central Valley and Southern California. They have very good apricots, salad dressings and other items, but they are all expensive and there doesn't appear to be bathrooms. This is a big problem in such an area, as Casa de Fruta (largely a competitor) is the only other nearby area with a toilet. They sell cactus and other plants in the front and have very good service. The blue cheese and walnut salad dressing is unreal. They have many bottled items locally made, such as hot sauce, honey and seasonings. The sheep are cute out front and it's neat a historical building has been saved and out to use, but the lack of bathrooms and high prices on everything are really a challenge. Bell Station is the last map reference in the state for any "station" that's telegraph and not railroad, according to the historical marker. Whilst this area appears to be Hollister, it's known by locals as Pacheco Pass.

So thankful the 10 for $1 avocado sign got me in! lol of course I bought Avocados, Strawberries and Mandarins. All of which were super sweet and large! I would have bought some of the available spices but I thought they were too pricey.

The best produce on the 152. The produce is fresh and not old. They have yellow watermelon that are sweet and juicy. Please do not drive by. Drive In and get a taste of fresh sweet fruits. I forgot to mention there cherries are so sweet and juicy. So don't miss out

This place is a wonderful stop off the road on your way to or from anywhere! I remember when it was a restaurant and now it's a lovely market for produce and my fave ... double dipped chocolate peanuts :-) The staff is always friendly and helpful. John is usually the guy that helps us but all are so nice. It is, however, hit and miss with the quality of the avocados but that's with most stores anyway. Love the selection of nuts, hot sauces and novelty items too! We've been here dozens of times and we will continue to patronize this store. Thank you guys for many fun experiences. Keep up the great work!

Sign out front as can be seen from road

Driving back from Visalia to San Jose, I saw a sign off the highway that read "Bell Station Farmers Market" so I decided to exit the road on the right side and stop in hoping to find some produce to bring home. Found some really good quality, and affordably priced, nectarines, peaches, and cherries. They had a large variety of hot sauce, olives, and some decent looking veggies but didn't try any of those. I'm assuming they're newly setup but not entirely sure. I'd stop by again, and it's nice to browse in an indoor environment.

The original Bell Station since 1867. Fruit and local spices and herbs and veggies.

Now this is how all Sunday farmer's markets should be operated here in the Bay Area…read more I got to experience Mountain View's version and was so impressed by its offerings. There were so many local vendors from all across the South Bay, Monterey, and Salinas areas selling fresh fruits and vegetables of all varieties. So many spots had free samples of their fruits which was my favorite part. As one person kept shouting, "you get more samples here than Costco!" and they weren't kidding. After all the organic goods, there was a great selection of bakeries and food trucks also selling different items from Chinese dumplings to Mediterranean spreads. I was happy to see so many vegan friendly options too from my walk throughout the market. We were even gifted with live music from a guitarist. Even during its peak times, there wasn't a huge crowd that prevented you from moving back and forth between the shops. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes and look forward to stopping by again.

There's also a parking available. We had to drive around a bit to find a spot but it didn't take long.(All the spots seem to be for compact cars,it's really tight parking) This market has a nice mix of produce and food. Also plenty of made food. I saw at least 3 fresh meat and fish vendors. Also some unique specific vendors,(mushrooms ,olives, heirloom tomatoes) We got there around 1130am so it was pretty crowded. Walking around everyone was fine. Lots of rude people trying to find parking.
