We went over my expectations and she was positive and enthsiastic while discussing goals and needs. She answered further emails quickly. When I…read morefirst met with her and I explained what my goals were she was very honest about what was realistic and laid out her thoughts on a game plan (protein goals, number of workouts, food suggestions). She has a background in being a life coach so she is attentive to your total wellness, not just physical, which is key for me. I work out with her exclusively via FaceTime and as a busy, working Mom, it couldn't be more perfect. She is on time and friendly, even at 6 am! If you are on the fence about contacting her, do it! You won't regret it. Scheduling times with her is easy and if I ever need to move times around she is very accommodating. Also, from the beginning she was upfront about her fees and wanted to make sure that we stayed within my budget. She never pushed me to do more than I was comfortable with. Kathryn utilized a phone app called Trainerize, which I love. She loads the work outs in the app after we have completed them so I am able to do them on my own on days of the week that I don't work out with her. It is very easy to follow along.

We stumbled upon MPG through a google search before leaving San Diego for Plainfield. We called to inquire about day passes, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out they're only $10! After looking through pictures and seeing high praise in Yelp, we were in. We went for the first time today with free week passes I got from my parents. Unfortunately they weren't valid, but we were still able to get a week pass for $15! Even though we might only make it one more time, it still is a way better deal. The gym itself is better than what I expected. Plenty of machines and free weights, two deadlift platforms, a few racks, and a lot of machines I've only seen on IG but have been dying to use. There's also a huge section in the back for tire flipping or other functional training like rope climbing. It's also pretty impressive that they offer cryotherapy in the front of the house. Overall, this is a great gym. If I lived here I would definitely make this my regular gym, but alas I will just have to make it my spot for when I visit home. Thanks MPG!

The classes range from 30-60 minutes, I believe, and they even have ShredKids which is a kids section in the studio for parents! I thought that was such a thoughtful addition to their studio. Also, the place is NICE. It's literally spotless and they have everything you need and more from a fitness studio. They have private showers and bathrooms and they were all so clean. Parking is right in front of the store, too. The instructors and team here are everything. Steph and Ashlee are beyond incredible. Supportive, energetic, kind, hospitable - they truly were meant to be doing this and they're what differentiates Shred415 from other fitness places. Staff has such positive and uplifting attitudes, and I love that it is women-led. You can tell by the fact they have a kids section in the studio for parents who are working out! I really enjoy that they have varied workouts now, some that are more walking/incline focused with weights, some that are formatted the same but with more recovery, I just wish those were also an hour long too! I used to take Barry's classes a ton when I lived in the city, but since I've found Shred415 it's my favorite - and I've now have taken almost 150 classes! Their class structure is very similar to a Barry's workout - their structure is 15 treadmill/15 floor/15 treadmill/15 floor, but the instructors also get creative with incorporating different types of equipment for different timed segments. My favorite right now has to be their 45 min strength class - Addie is amazing with form advice and programming! I also miss Colleen! Steph and Ashlee are excellent instructors and a fantastic duo, and I really admire how they run their business. They truly do so much - live DJ workouts, perks for special occasions, collaborations, putting different instructors on with opportunities, it's just really genuine and you can tell!

The BMT team worked with me and accommodated moves so I could build my strength without hurting myself along the way. They guided me on nutritional goals as well as strength and fitness goals with their wealth of knowledge, motivation, encouragement, and most of all - passion! I've progressed so much in a year and a half, and I continue to improve. The fellow gym-goers are just as supportive as the staff, and I've met some incredibly supportive people along the way. I now can do almost all moves unassisted and I'm stronger now than I was back in high school when I played 3 sports. This place is supportive, welcoming, and accommodating. This isn't a glitz-and-glam gym. There are no flashy lights or influencer vibes. What you get instead is something far more valuable a healthy, structured strengthening program with real guidance to help you become a better version of yourself. It's about movement, longevity, and building strength the right way. What really sets this gym apart is the coaching staff. The coaches are consistent not rotating in and out which makes a huge difference. They know your name, your goals, your strengths, and where you need improvement. That continuity builds trust and real progress. The community is amazing. This isn't just a place to work out. Members volunteer with local pet shelters, connect outside the gym for pickleball gatherings, and host educational sessions on topics like perimenopause giving women knowledge and giving men insight so they can better support the women in their lives. That kind of environment is rare. Every month there are new challenges to push yourself, plus self-achievement awards that recognize individual wins. And I have to say the spicy stickers are a nice touch. Small detail, but it shows they celebrate effort and consistency in a fun way. Beyond Measure isn't just about lifting weights. It's about building strength in your body, confidence in yourself, and connection in your life. If you're looking for community, accountability, and long-term health plus fun this is it.

A membership costs around $80 a month and they do not offer or sell "day passes." Positives - not too crowded in the morning and virtually dead on the weekends, but evenings and lunchtime has some folks in there. - has all of your major pieces of equipment and tools. - it seems since it's small, not crowded, and has everything, my workouts are much more quickly executed than doing it at the larger gym (LifeTime). - has a certified trainer there some of the time and you can hire her for personal training. - sometimes they offer night classes for spinning. This has gone in and out over the few years I've been a member. - parking and getting into the gym is no fuss and very close - shower rooms are private, have lockable doors, complete with shower, sink, countertop, shampoo, bodywash, etc., although half the time the faucets don't work. - tv's on the treadmills and steppers...and they usually work - they usually have apples (but only apples) out Negatives - there are lockers, but you can't lock them, even if you have your own padlock, so you have to carry your phone, wallet, and keys with you. - faucet in the men's bathroom and most of the shower rooms do not work half the time (been like that for years)...usually the women's bathroom faucet works. I'm only talking about the sink faucets, not the shower water. - takes awhile for broken equipment to get fixed properly (e.g., the elliptical had been sounding like it's about to fall apart for a few months now). I think they tend to take action only when hotel guests say something. - no steam room or sauna - they have towels, but they sometimes smell pretty rough, like they didn't get washed well. Sometimes old makeup on them.

Corepower yoga 2 is a great class for flow and Parna's expertise on chakras and meditative yoga fits great with this type of class. CoreRestore, although not offered often, is more of a light, cool down stretch with a bit of sound bath effects and is not meant for intense stretching. Julie did a great job of emphasizing the relaxation components in tiny movements. not heated, and best after a long day, not meant to be a workout. Yoga sculpt 45 min is probably the most intense class with upbeat, fast-paced yoga flow combined with weights to intensify the workout and medium heat. Highly recommend for both strength and stretch and cardio all in one. Allison can project really well and get you hyped, and also offers really great form reminders/corrections. Hot power fusion with Ariana is amazing- the temp is set a couple degrees above 100 so it's definitely one you need to hydrate for, but it's not as intense as yoga sculpt and has more focus on balance and holding yoga poses for longer and testing your core. Ariana gives very clear, detailed instructions so it was easy to follow along, and best playlist!
