Ok folks, we found a winner here. Let me tell you, we have tried to find a place that even will…read morelook at out built in refrigerator, but alas, there was no one who would attempt much less respond. This ma and pa place is excellent. John came, looked, ordered parts, came and fixed it. His spouse Kimberly, who answered the phone initially, already basically troubled shot what the problem would be. She was right, and John fixed it without fuss. They are my go to and I forwarded their name to our realtor who always needs good a good list of folks. Again, what a complete and pleasant surprise. John was great without our deaf dog. Not his job to handle, but he was very patient. Sterling Appliance forwarded their name to us. By the way, Sterling Appliance could not fix built in refrigerators. How odd, but at least they did provide Top Notch, so I am very thankful. I don't promote anyone who doesn't care about their work ethic, but they are great.

We originally reached out to Sterling Appliance, who referred us to Top Notch because they were…read morefully booked for several weeks. Our LG washing machine had been stalling out with an error code indicating an issue that was likely a failing vibration sensor, this would leave our clothes partially washed and sopping wet. John from Top Notch came to our house, observed the washer failing to complete a cycle multiple times with the same error code and listened to our concerns. After leaving to research the problem he left a voice mail later that day saying that he had consulted a colleague and suggested that we were just loading it incorrectly, he then described in detail how to properly load a washing machine. For context, we had been using this washer for three years without issue before it suddenly started failing mid-cycle, we are also both in our mid/late thirties so we have some experience doing our own laundry. We decided to go back to Sterling Appliance who believed us when we said there was a problem and they replaced the board with the sensor. Unsurprisingly actually performing the repair was more effective than gaslighting us about it and the washer is back to normal

Woodland Appliance Repair - Replaced inlet valve but issue persisted

I'm writing this review to share my experience with Woodland Appliances, who have a few five-star…read moreratings but didn't live up to that standard for me. My Maytag washer showed an FO3/E01 error, which typically points to a pressure sensor or pump issue. When Woodland Appliances arrived, they spent less than 15 minutes diagnosing and insisted the problem was the inlet valve. They quoted me $400 to replace a $150 part and refused to consider any other cause despite my concerns. I ended up replacing the inlet valve myself, and the error persisted. Eventually, I replaced the pump and cleaned out the pump filter--something the technician should have done initially. The filter was full of debris and clearly a major factor. I also replaced the pressure sensor, and only then did the machine work correctly. In short, Woodland Appliances misdiagnosed the issue, tried to upsell me on the most expensive fix first, and neglected basic maintenance steps like cleaning the pump filter. For anyone with a Maytag washer getting an FO3/E01 error, you'll likely need to clean the pump filter and consider the pump or pressure sensor--not just the inlet valve. Also, remember to run the diagnostic steps to clear codes properly. Overall, I was disappointed with their service and cannot recommend them based on this experience.

Woodland Appliance Repair was very responsive to a heavily leaking washing machine. I called and…read morewe were able to setup a repair on the next day within 24 hours. They quoted me a reasonable show-up/assessment fee. On the day, I had concerns and called to ask questions, they appeased me. They texted and called me in advance of showing. Upon arrival, they reviewed the issue and quoted a price to fix that included the show-up/assessment fee. I definitely recommend them for any appliance repair needs.
