Called them out to fix my fridge in the garage, and as a home brewer the fridge is important. They came out and were honest and told me what was wrong with it, and it was just something blocking the fan. He didn't try to replace any parts that didn't need to be replaced, and wasn't pushy at all. I had him recharge the coolant in the fridge due to the age of the unit. The service tech only took about 20 mins to charge it. When he plugged the fridge in it started getting cold right away. Fantastic and honest service. When everything goes well and problems are solved, few comments are made. As a business owner of two photography studios for almost 40 years, I have dealt with 100s of salesmen -techs-customer relations , service, repair personal etc:. Many of them were totally unqualified if not flat ignorant. When I had problems with my refrigerators ice cube maker I called a appliance repair service I had used for many years only to find out they had retired and closed the business. Very frustrated I began to search for a new service to call. Going on-line I looked at many new services and read customer comments on them. One service, Appliance Guard, caught my attention and I called their number. It was a pleasure to deal with Kahlia. Her professionalism along with her knowledge of procedures and her very courteous and friendly attitude made the experience a pleasure. She set up an appointment for a repair tech to come out within two days and, hopefully, fix the problem. Two days later a repair tech showed up at the time he was scheduled to be there. He called 20 minutes before his arrival to inform us. Boris, the tech, was very courteous, friendly, informative and extremely professional and neat ( he did not make any mess) in his evaluation of the problem and speedy repair. And replacement with new parts needed. When Boris was finished, he told is what he had done and when to try the ice cube maker. The next day we tried the ice cube maker and it was extremely quick and smooth. We are extremity glad we used Appliance Guard and are very impressed with the personal we dealt with. We will see how things go and refer them to others. Boris came out the first time around and fixed my fridge, the defrost heater in my GE Profile fridge needed to be replaced, water was collecting below the meat drawer and was turning into solid ice. He also fixed the gasket on the freezer drawer. I thought everything was fixed. He seemed nice first time around. Everything seemed good, I paid for all services to my fridge. UPDATE: I called back recently because my fridge was continuing to freeze under the meat drawer, same issue as if it hadn't even been fixed the first time. 1st call went to Boris who was very rude and should not be allowed to answer phone calls for this company anymore, so unprofessional. UPDATE: I got a call from the manager Mike. He was very nice and accommodating. He not only helped get another guy out to check on the fridge but he was able to get it all fixed within a week (part ordered and installed a week later). Our fridge has been working great, I'm glad second time around we were able to find out what wasn't fixed the first time and get it corrected. I would recommend this company to others but would recommend you speak to Mike the owner. He is a nice guy and genuinely wants to do well for his customers. Great guy, glad he called me back. My fridge has been working great ever since it was fixed, no problems, no leaking and no freezing under the meat drawer. If you have fridge problems give them a call and speak to Mike. read more

This review is long overdue but better late than never! Within 15 minutes of leaving a message that my washer was not working properly, Michael called me back and said his service tech Matt was in my area and would call me when he was finished with the job he was on. In a short period time, Matt called to say he was on his way. He was able to find the problem and said my machine needed a part. Within a couple of days, Matt called to say the part came in and my washer was fixed that day. He was very prompt and professional. They are now my go to appliance repair company. read more

I used this company previously, but they have apparently changed ownership. I had an appointment for today at 11. I didn't receive a confirmation call, so after the time came and went, I called to see if they were still coming. They said it's an 11-2 window. That was not told to me when I called. The lady I spoke to on the phone today said I must have misunderstood. I very clearly recall a specific time and would never had agreed to an 11-2 timeframe because I cannot be here after 1 so there was no misunderstanding. They just didn't clearly communicate the appointment information and tried to put it back on me. read more

My 16-year old sub-zero fridge wouldn't cool in the refrigerator part anymore, the freezer was fine. I called Appliance Guard after reading all the great reviews here and boy, were they right. Mike answered the phone and said Boris would be over that same afternoon between 2:00-5:00 with a phone call when he was 20 minutes out. At 2:30, Boris called and he arrived 20 minutes later as promised. He knew immediately what the problem was, gave me a couple of options (replacing the evaporator or sealing and charging it) and in an hour the evaporator was sealed, charged and the refrigerator was up and running and cooling my food again. He said this was a common problem for sub-zeros around 10 years old. If you have an appliance on the fritz, call this company. I know I will again. Boris was professional, knowledgeable, and polite. I wouldn't post this if I didn't really want others to know about such a great service. (This service was actually back in 2015, but I just found out that my review never posted. So, I re-posted it now because I want others to know what a great company this is. Update - My evaporator eventually failed completely about a year later and Boris did replace it, and it worked perfectly after that. I also called them recently for a possible problem with my new refrigerator [I moved to a new place] and they were just as polite and professional as they were back then. Scheduled a 3-hour appointment window with Boris. Was told the tech would call 20-30 minutes before arrival. Nobody called, and nobody came.

I needed the dryer vent hose reattached to back of it and to the wall exit port. I made the appointment two days early as I was leaving town for until Thursday. OK this is my first time ever leaving a comment on yelp. I had a appointment this morning at 8:00-9:30 no show no call at this point I have given up on him. After communicating through the day the repair guy showed a little after 4:00pm I know it was a long way away from the morning appointment. But when the guy showed up he was great. My problem was dryer not getting hot, washing machine when spinning make a loud noise I bought the washer this way and sears did not fix it I had sears come out three times for the washer so I thought it was OK like that. He had lots of knowledge about the item and he was aware of the parts to fix. He was great I have been looking around and did not trust anyone this company is great try them out I am happy. I would recommend this place to everyone. I thought I had a burned out motor for the ice dispenser, but Appliance Guard came and very methodically and efficiently removed the motor, thawed and cleaned it, removed all of the frozen ice clumps from my freezer, reinstalled the paddle bracket kit and within 30 minutes I had a working ice maker and dispenser! The cost was very reasonable as well. I will call them again, should I have any other appliance issues. read more
