He was here on time, did the project as quoted (and a bit more), and provided me with the take-away of the leaves in a timely manner. Energenic, personable, on point with the work, and mature beyond his years. I have already scheduled for next year and know that I will have another job well done in 2021.

He texted a tale about tearing a rotator cuff and being unable to handle snow removal for the rest of the season. But in the next couple of days, he posted several videos and photos on his Facebook page, showing himself working diligently to remove snow from multiple homes in the area, with no mention of an injury. I asked for an explanation, but he's ghosted me. That makes me think his whole injury story was bogus and he just decided to strand some customers during the largest snowstorm in Appleton's history. So if you're considering hiring 1st Class Grass $ Snow, have a Plan B in mind. Caveat emptor!

The owner provided a quote, however, he did not view the property…read more Because of my lot and the layout, I requested a visit so that I could explain exactly what I wanted. The owner claims to have come by, however, even though I was home, he never "came to the door" so at this time I am unsure if he truly did the on-site inspection. He assured me he did come by, and his original quote was correct. I was told depending on weather, they were scheduling 3 weeks out after down payment was received. I requested weekly updates on the scheduling. I was initially informed that my project could happen the week of July 13th. An update was provided late June moving my project to mid-August due to rain. I questioned that because we weren't having rain. I shared that I may cancel my job after speaking to my realtor and I would let them know within 2-3 days if I would cancel. Ironically, I received a message a day later they would be there the next morning to begin work. I am disappointed in their work. The owner left out 38 feet x 10 feet of area. When I challenged it, he responded saying he left it out of the quote? I responded saying, it didn't make any sense because on the north and south side of this space he could clearly see the area is seeded with lawn. This section was torn up because we removed shrubbery and pine trees and it made no sense to leave this section incomplete. He said, well, I didn't include it in the quote. I replied, and this is why I specifically asked you to stop by and meet me so that he completely understood my requirements. The area was a mess as the previous owner didn't seed this part and it had a mixture of mulch and gravel. They did a very poor job of prepping the area for seeding. As I look at this space, there is a lot of gravel in this area left behind. He admittedly said he received poor "fill" as the topsoil and had bid 7 yards, but needed to purchase 10 because what he purchased was not good. I agree wholeheartedly with his statement. It was clumpy, clay and they did very little to make this area flat. I did tell Ryan the owner that I am sorry he purchased such poor topsoil, however, that was not my fault, but his. The grass is growing in areas, however, I will be picking up stones/rocks before I can cut this area. The crew hand seeded, meaning crew just took handfuls of seed and tossed it around. The result of this seeding is large areas with no seed that I have had to fill in. In the second part of this project, I Included having them put in edging around the house, weed prevention material, and mulch. About 2 weeks in, I started to plant shrubs around the house. In the back, as I began to start adding in the shrubbery, I noticed a pile of mulch in the middle of this particular section, piled rather high up against my home. At first, I thought nothing of it. When I finally got to planting this section, I smoothed out the mulch and it was then that I realized the crew had damaged my siding. The mulch was stacked to cover the damage which is a hole in the siding about 2-3 inches wide. There is no way to make a repair as the entire piece that was knocked out is nowhere to be found. I normally don't write reviews, however, if you get a quote from Ryan, I would make sure he is not making a decision on his own on what to include or not include. I would check your home to make sure mulch is not piled high to cover damaged siding. As an FYI, I had 3 other quotes, all within $500. However, leaving out the section he decided NOT to include, his price now is much higher than the other quotes I received. I strongly suggest proceeding with caution if you receive a quote and decide to hire Ryan and Appleton Lawn, Snow Landscaping. I have included photos. The area he left out is a bit difficult to show, however, the picture showing the damaged siding is very clear.

I'm not sure whether it's ignorance, arrogance, or just a lack of accountability, but I'd look elsewhere before risking doing business with this organization. Maybe one of their employees is dishonest and caused this problem, but the failure to even look into it is a problem. We paid over $4000 in cash for this fill, but what's worse this is our family home. The company moves on, but we have to live here.

Every landscape project will have issues (weather, product, site, home contractor, etc.), its how a landscape company deals with it that counts. Charles came out to detail my 2007 Ford Expedition which I was selling later in the day. It was dirty, black and full of bugs. He got it done and made it look brand new for the buyer. I asked him if he could fit in our Pacifica, and he got that done too working until the job was done until 8:00 PM. This is the second year in a row I have used him, Great service & great results. When the guy that owned it before Covid was always there this place was the best. I have had the…read moreultimate car wash with gate privilege since before covid. I had to show that owner I was capable of pulling up into the touch wash safely to get my pass. Since the new owner took over I no longer have privilege to use the touch wash I pay a subscription fee for. In fact, it is now closed most of the time. This is even during business and weekend daytime hours. So I am being forced to use the lesser wash almost every time. They also stopped stocking the vacuum tokens. I am supposed to get one per week. Most of the vacuums don't work, but aren't labeled, so if you do want to use vacuums you can lose money finding out they don't work and no way to get money back. If something doesn't change this month I am canceling my subscription and going to one of the new, state of the art car washes that actually are maintained. Employees have told me the owner now doesn't care that things don't work.

To top it off they had already cancelled my account before I even showed up. What had happened was their touch car wash side had left scratches all over my truck that morning. The sides, hood, mirrors, tailgate, roof, and new chrome trim I had just placed on my vehicle that weekend. When I tried to show them that the new chrome had even been scratched, I was told they don't cover after market damage anyway, and to leave without understanding that the scratched chrome proved consistancy. They refused to do an incident report or give any insurance info. So I just contacted my insurance and I am going to let them handle it. (My insurance stated they will go after damages on my behalf due to photo proof and receipts of new equipment installation) A police report has also been filed per my insurance company's request, and was instructed this was not a new occurance for this business. So if you love your paint job beware! Also read the other low star reviews of issues with scratched vehicles. Thank you.

Today I went back hoping they improved. Absolutely not. I wish I could upload photos because there is so much dirt, hair, and crumbs left on my dash, floor, and center consol. It's no wonder you can't leave a review on Google for this place anymore because all of them would be bad. My advice to you is pay the $10 at Kwik Trip because you will pay for the same amount of service for a third of the price.
