I responded to a job posting I found online advertised by the Cypress office of AppleOne. A couple of days later, I had a phone interview with Jodi. She asked me about my past job experiences and background. After speaking with Jodi, I was sent a couple of online software skills evaluations to take. I also signed a lot of the pre-employment paperwork via DocuSign. The Cypress AppleOne office has been quick in responding to my initial application and they were eager to get the ball rolling for me as far as getting placed on assignment. Jodi was very pleasant to deal with both over the phone and via email. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to actually show up for an in-person interview at their office, which was very convenient for me. The job market has changed immensely in the past few years, especially now with so many large companies laying off very qualified, competent people. I've been working on and off with Jodi Martin at AppleOne in Cypress, Ca sense 2007. Every time I reached out to her for a job opportunity she had come through right away for me within a day or two. There has been several assignments throughout the years where she has placed me and over a period of time I was hired permanently with the company, and I owe it all to Jodi for making it happen! Extremely disappointed and quite frankly, appalled by the lack of communication, professionalism and personal politics this specific branch has displayed. I've worked with Apple One for 10 years now. I have wonderful experience, a clean record and excellent references. I've been assigned great jobs with 3 OTHER branches, but the Cypress branch (in the heart of business complexes everywhere) have been ZERO help to me. After three emails and two phone calls over the past month, I've received no response, no call back, NOTHING! This review has also been submitted to the upper levels of management, as well. After waiting for a virtual interview that I was never sent the link for, I called and spoke to someone at the Appleone location and was told that I could not be rendered services from Appleone because I showed no employment history during COVID-19, while I was attending Graduate School, and caring for my mother who was diagnosed with brain cancer. Although I will be done with my masters before Thanksgiving and have an extensive work history, AppleOne will not help me. I never received anything in this regard and had to wait to call in to be told this information. I think it is not only regrettable that you base who you help on a career gap but discriminatory, and downright wrong, especially in today's society. If you are going to advertise yourself as an employment service but not lead with the stipulations of your service, it's a misleading and false advertisement and I am honestly surprised that no one else is speaking up about this. read more

After numerous (and unsuccessful) attempts of having people at the AppleOne in Huntington Beach help me find a job, an AppleOne agency found me via my job application on Monster.com, and asked whether I was available for a job interview. Of course, I said yes, got to the office, one of the ladies, Eyleen, who's a sweetheart, went through the interview process with me (successful), and then a couple of weeks later, got the call back, and I got the job as a 6-month temp at UFCW. I showed up to an appointment with Kristin for a job possibility. When I arrived I was told she had called in sick, and the people there didn't even know who I was. They wasted my time that I could of used making money at my job. Kristin should have just cancelled our appointment. They won't value your time. read more

I met Jen Baker 1 year ago when my life was in the dumps. I was jobless and just plain sad. She definitely changed both of those parts of my life. It took her 6 months but she finally found exactly what I was looking for. I was very picky about what I wanted - which was culture, balance, and security. After all that time she finally found the perfect fit. Don't get me wrong she was calling me at least once a week sometimes more with opportunities but I wouldn't think they were right for me. I'm sure that wasn't very easy on her but she persisted. Her tenacity was unwavering as she knew she'd eventually find me a position that would fit my needs and the needs of the company. I am now starting my 6th month at my new company, and I've already been promoted which goes to show that she has a knack for putting people where they'd fit in. AppleOne's methods seem rather lazy. The only position I was offered was a robotic busy-work job doing data entry for a firm located RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE APPLE ONE OFFICE. Good to see they are willing to GO THE DISTANCE for their clients.... This agency just wants to fill a local position so the Apple One office ladies get paid, regardless of proper fit for you, the client. read more

If Charleen's overall dated look can tell you anything, it's that she's out of touch when it comes to her instincts on how others can perceive a person. Despite the fact that I was highly qualified for admin work and doing my own job hunt on the side, I found no success with this office or its staff. I thought working with AppleOne would be able to give me an "in" with companies that are normally out of reach, but I was condescended to, not listened to, and not submitted for anything. Thank God I only looked to them as a backup plan and didn't put all of my eggs in their basket, and I was able to get my own interviews and be hired somewhere after a couple of weeks of applying to places. I'm normally the type of person who would give someone else the benefit of the doubt, but my initial impression of Charleen was pretty spot-on. During our interactions, I found her to be incompetent and as full of herself as her 80's hair. Kasey and the team did an excellent job of finding me employment in just a couple of weeks. What I liked most was the amount of encouragement that Kasey provided me with every step of the way. Used Jennifer Baker to hire 2 new front office receptionists and client care coordinators in April 2017 and she was efficient and very astute with regard to screening and background checks as well as sniffing out red flags. She followed up on all references with detailed notes. We actually had her do screening and interviews on resumes we had obtained via online classifieds on Craigslist jobs board and she handled all phone and email follow ups as well as narrowing down our search. They get 5 stars because I haven't really had a bad experience. AppleOne served it's purpose in finding me temporary work. I think the account managers are pretty good about getting their clients out there and giving them many opportunities to meet with employers and showcase their talents. I must say I was very lucky with a lot of the temp positions I got. Jodi found a lot of positions for me that were actually perfect for my schedule. I was a full-time student and needed extra cash on the side, so I was sent on some half-day, some full-day assignments on Fridays, mostly. I was called back to work for those companies because I worked hard. That's all it is. Make a good impression and the companies will call for you back. Who knows, it may lead to a better, more permanent position within the company. If you take advantage of the opportunites to make a good impression on these companies, they will remember you and most likely request you to work for them again. All these people can do is get you in front of the employers--it's up to you to show your worth. Again, my needs were simple--I just needed a temporary job to get me by while I applied to school. For those who are looking for full-time, permanent positions, I'm sure that it's a little different. Again, showcasing a good work ethic usually does not go unnoticed. read more

I'm mainly writing this review for Kristin Fogarty, she is one of the sweetest person I've ever met. She is very helpful, understanding and patient. She set me up with the job that I am in now, and I couldn't be happier. I was working with a company I found on my own and I was not happy, I contacted Kristin asking her to set me up with something and within a couple of days I was already with my current employer! Anyone who asks me if I know of anywhere hiring I always send them to Kristin. I could tell her exactly what I'm looking for and she never disappoints.
