No. Screen shot for proof. Draw what conclusions you will. Original Review and Comment on Response: I had two appointments with Julie LaCroix several years ago. I ultimately thought the sessions were a waste of time and (quite a lot of) money. She decided my skill set made me a particularly good fit for a specific type of job, and she disregarded my repeated protests that the job in question went against my moral values. She made up her mind and was incapable of hearing anything that didn't align with her first (somewhat arbitrary seeming) idea. She ended our last session by throwing together a ridiculous, typo-ridden resume in a couple minutes targeted at a position I had made clear I would not apply for. (Since that time I finished my graduate degree and am working in a suitable career.) After our second meeting, I was ready to move on and not give career therapists another thought. I have not had that luxury, however, since Julie LaCroix has spammed me and stalked me on social media ever since. Every couple years, I get re-added to her email list which I have never given her permission to put me on, and she has not responded to messages asking her to desist. She also periodically tries to connect with me on social media (she is undeterred by my refusal to connect with her, and, again, does not respond to messages asking her to desist in contacting me). I understand that she thinks networking will help grow her business. I don't understand why she thinks harassing people and ignoring them when they object would be beneficial to anyone. Given her systematic abuse of my personal information, however, I am no longer surprised that she could not process my objection to an unethical career. **Regarding Response** Notice the non-denial regarding the abusive email practices I describe. Also note the absence of a statement that she would address this matter and make sure I am not re-added to her list again in the future. The rest is a matter of he-said-she-said, but why, after 11 years, would I have reason to think of her--much less make random false claims in a review? I would encourage her to check her email (julie@julielacroix.com) to see that I have, in fact, contacted her multiple time over the past 11 years to ask that she stop re-adding me to her spam list. She has also found me years after using her (dis)services and tried to get me to engage with her professional profiles on Facebook and Instagram over the years. The dishonesty/lack of integrity in her response here is appalling.

I wasn't sure what to expect before Lela and I started working together. My understanding of a…read morecoach came from my past experiences playing sports. I approached the experience of working with Lela without expectations and with an open mind. Wow, was I impressed. I never realized how genuinely impactful someone could be as a coach. Lela shifted my life path. I was 19 when I began working with her and would 100% recommend any other teen or young adult to work with her. Especially young people who are open to hearing new ideas, and accepting guidance. She can write like a magician. This fact was most helpful when I was in a situation in which I needed to write a professional biography. I had weekly sessions with her to collaborate, edit what I had to write, and understand where the most appropriate places might be to share my work. Together, we actually realized that I didn't just want to write a professional bio, I wanted to share a much bigger story about my past. Just two years ago, when I was 17, I was in a near fatal car accident. I broke multiple bones and I had a TBI (traumatic brain injury). I had to relearn how to walk, talk, read, and write. When I started working with Lela, I had healed and was in my first year of university in Madrid. I wanted to work on a professional bio to use for business venture ideas while I completed my studies. Then we dug deeper into my story. Lela helped me see that I wanted to share all that I had learned from this experience in a more impactful way. So, we took that bio and slowly transformed it into a Ted Talk. I'm now in conversation with a TEDx leader, with plans to share this talk on stage later this year. I cannot believe how synchronistic all of this is, going from a short bio to a profound Ted Talk. Working with Lela enabled me to write my story, and reflect on how my accident changed me. It helped me heal and grow. Then to be able to bring this story to a larger audience, it all feels like I'm building toward something powerful. I started working with her in October 2019 and I continue to work with her now, in May 2020, which reveals how highly I value her as a coach. She's been incredibly flexible, working with me digitally and internationally, while I study abroad. She's given me clarity I wasn't even aware I was in need of. I was able to focus on my path with her help, confidently seeing where my ideas could lead me if I committed to them. This was something I had not learned how to do before. There were opportunities in my life that I didn't even know were there until she made me realize they were actually present. I'm really thankful I became aware of these opportunities and got a more focused and concrete idea around my own life while still a teenager.
