Me and my neighbor went to applebees the night charlie kirk got shot I'm not political but he was upset by it and telling the bartender about it and she made a comment about how her manager didnt like that guy but she didnt know much about it. Which was weird but whatever This server overhears us talking and walks up showing us the video of him getting shot which I hadnt seen and didnt want to see and started laughing and joking saying its a great day and it looked like a fountain of chocolate milk coming from his neck. my neighbor demanded his check and the manager comes out saying thats not ok but was really only concerned about him not calling corporate. She said she would take care of us but charged him full price and he starts to walk to the car while I'm waiting on my check. Then the server goes after my neighbor trying to fight him and threatening him and the manager leaves helping me to grab him and separate them. My neighbor goes to the car and the server comes back continuing to run his and then the manager charges me full price and begs me not to call corporate. I leave and both of us send an email to corporate and get response saying someone from this franchise should contact us in 3 to 4 days. 4 days go by and no one contacts us so I email corporate again and I have yet to hear from anyone at applebees. I will never go to an applebees again and anyone who reads this should never go again! I paid full price to watch a video of a man being murdered while employees laugh and managers do nothing! My friend and I ordered two meals for $30, we selected the 6 oz sirloin med rare, broccoli and green beans, and shared a spinach artichoke dip with tortillas appetizer instead of ordering two small salads. We waited over 15 minutes and still nobody came to seat us. So we left and took our business to another restaurant. Visited yesterday after doing some hiking in the area. Upon entering, there were many tables available but we were asked to have a seat (after waiting 2-3 minutes before being greeted) and wait while they cleaned a table. They proceeded to take 10 minutes or so to clean a table (which we were not seated at) and then escorted to a booth. Our waitress did come right over and was very friendly - she was the only reason for the 2 star rating. She was attentive, helpful and was running her butt off serving what seemed to be the entire restaurant. I saw no other wait staff doing much of anything. The boneless chicken wings were barely warm as were the mozzarella sticks. My husband thought his chicken didn't seem done so he didn't finish it. I didn't have a problem with my burger. The entire place was dirty, trash on the floor, unkempt, inside & out. Definitely will not return to this location. read more

Wow, everything was really very good. Our waitress was amazing and very timely and attentive. I wish I had her name. The restaurant was clean and in good order and the food was hot and tasty. We did the 2 for $27 which included boneless wings and 2 entrees. My wife got chicken Alfredo with broccoli and I got Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp. Both very good. I will be back. read more

Yea no. Everytime I go they mess something up it literally never fails. They don't even have rolls. Yea if you've never been and you enjoy rolls before your meal, don't go here. after finishing 2 draft beers and a Caesar salad i asked for my bill. the bartender asked me if I had cash. I told her I wanted to pay with a credit card. she gave me a blank piece of paper and a pen and said "our system is down so you just write down all your card info on this paper and I'll give it to my manager". after thinking for a moment I told her "ma'am, I'm not writing all my credit card info on a piece of paper". she understood. I opened my wallet and said look; I have 13$ cash. my bull was $17.55. she took my $13 to a booth w a guy sitting there w a table of cash and pieces of paper. I later learned this was the manager. after a 5 minute discussion the manager stood up, walked over to me and said "good evening sir, your bill is $17.55. and then told me there was an atm one block away. when the told him no he pulled out a cell phone and called the police telling them that committed theft. a nice lady next told me pulled $5 friends m her purse. gave I to the msnager and said to him "I can't believe you are doing this" read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars because they had a decent beer selection. Worst food out of any Applebee's I've been to. Ordered 2 steaks on 2 visits and ordered steak medium rare and each time they came out well done. Also ordered the steak salad and every other Applebee's I have ordered that it came out with a steak that had been cooked as a steak and then sliced steak on top. Got to the restaunts at the appointed time and called for curbside. No answer. Called again. No answer. Went inside to see about my food. Waited and waited while the phone rang of the hook. The service was horrible. Our waitress took a long time to take our order and they weren't even busy. Once our order was placed it took a long time to receive our food. They had no cocktail sauce for the shrimp even though they are pushing the shrimp for $1.00 so you'd think they'd have had cocktail sauce on hand. Our waitress stood around and didn't check on us even though we were in need of refills. Once she did come around, my husband asked for another beer and it took almost 30 minutes as the bar tender seemed to not be in the bar and if she was, she wasn't pouring beer or making drinks. We wondered why our waitress didn't speak up and find our why she wasn't getting the beer either. Many people were standing at the door waiting to be seated toward the end of our meal and there was no hostess around. We'll find another place to eat next time we are in Xenia. read more

We eat here often and the food is always hot and fresh. My granddaughter loves their mac & cheese, my husband always gets one of their burgers, and my favorite is the quesadilla burger. I've tried their pastas, appetizers, steaks, etc. I've never had a bad meal here. It seems like most negative reviews were from some time ago so it seems like they have improved a lot this year. Visiting from out of town, we selected this restaurant because we knew the brand from home and thought we would get similar food and service. Our dinner there was a bad experience from the moment we walked in. The "greeter's" table at the door is positioned so the Applebee's employee's back is to you. Yes, you literally walk in and see someone's back, not a smiling face. Server was friendly enough, but she could not overcome the lengthy delays in getting our food. We changed an item on our order from applesauce to French fries, and they immediately brought out an order of fries. No appetizers or main dishes, just fries. Thank goodness for that because the other food was very long in arriving. No explanation why. A beer that was not ordered was delivered to our table. Not just a delivery mistake. We were charged for it and then credited. Wish we had read other reviews prior to deciding to go there. Really bad. Applebee's should close this location before it hurts their reputation any more. read more

We started coming here in January of 2021 every Saturday during Covid. We liked coming here because we were on a weight loss regimen and we were able to get meals that supported our weight goals. The past few weeks the place has changed a lot. It looks like their serves that we normally see may have left. When we order something they come back and say they don't have it even though we come in early when they have opened. Not sure what is going on, but today we even had to point out that our table was not clean. Not sure what is going on and it is sad. The commercial about it being a place where every body knows your name is not accurate as it seems to have a big turnover of staff. Will give it a break for a few months and come back and try again. The food here was outstanding yet the service (or lack thereof) wasn't as great. Our waitress complained about her day/shift to us then never came back to check on us or refill drinks. When trying to pick up food an hour before they close, they won't answer the phone until you call multiple times. Then they act like they're really busy and it will take a really long time to make, hoping I won't order food. I get there and there are no customers and a floor flooded by someone that doesn't know how to ring out a mop. The only 2 employees were just hanging out talking. Crappy music often too loud, poorly trained and indifferent staff, Pepsi served here, and if you opt to use the Touch tunes jukebox you better be sitting beside of it to hear it. Very poor experience considering the other experiences I have had here. Sat for a few minutes at the bar before I was acknowledged and then ordered the quesadilla burger at the recommendation of the barmaid.... after I Ordered a quesadilla burger, I did recieve it very quickly, but with no bacon or cheese, was very hungry so I started eating it anyway, the barmaid ask me how it was as I was finishing it up ( about 100 seconds after I started into it) I told her they forgot the cheese and bacon but I was too hungry to wait, she bitched to some trainee waitress about how "they forgot her cheese and bacon" on the burger, no offer to get those items or any type of condolence. Bashed all of my "endless fries" and she came and took my plate, I guess if I wanted more fries I should have spoke up. The other barmaid that has served me most times I have been in this location was much better. I noticed the manager was there, but obviously his presence does not indicate proper corporate procedures will be followed. Take your chances at this place as far as service goes. Got a grilled chicken salad, and Quesadilla for Carry-Out. They forgot to put a fork and napkins in my bag, by the time I stopped to find a plastic fork somewhere and then got to my destination my salad was nasty since the grilled chicken was put on the salad instead of on the side. (Most places put in a seperate container for this very reason) Cheese was melted, lettuce warm and mushy....... $21 for crap food, and a $4 tip for not throwing napkins and a fork in my bag...
