The current dinner special at Applebee's is the All-you-can-eat BBQ ribs, chicken and shrimp for $15.99--let that sink in! I had to try it. The ribs were very filling and admittedly heavy in sweet BBQ sauce, but well prepared--still supple, not dry or overcooked. With fries and coleslaw, it was certainly a full meal. I was surprised to find out I could mix and match the pork, chicken, or shrimp. I asked for a taste of each and told the waiter I was already pretty full. He agreed to bring short orders of each (see the second pic). The chicken was very good, especially with the sauce that came on it-- a south of the border flavor of some kind. The shrimp were heavily breaded, which detracted from the flavor of the shrimp itself, but still, it was flavorful. I had a Corona beer with the meal which was a little pricey, but it was a perfect pairing with everything served. All things considered, this is one of the best meal deals in Wenatchee. There were no negatives and a fully satisfying meal at that price is unheard of in the current economy. The waiter was super responsive-- no part of him was trying to hold back on food, and he returned to my table several times to make sure all was good. This was 4-stars on food, 5-stars on price, and 5-stars on service. I'll be back to do this again before end of summer when the special ends. read more

I'm sitting here now with a party of nine. This Applebees staff and service has been the best. We have two kids here with food allergies. And it was a relief to know that they took care and concern over it ensuring the food would be prepared in a way that would be safe for them. Chloe was a wonderful greeter and hostess. She was super friendly and came to check on us often. Samantha was our server and was AWESOME. She was confident that the food would be prepared safely. And she was great at keeping everyone's drinks filled. The manager, Amanda, came out to talk with us personally. She let us know that she'd oversee the cooking as well to make sure it was safe. We are always taking a gamble on the food allergies which can be scary. The fact that they came out, especially the manager, was the first time we've seen this and it was very touching. The 2-for deals are the best deals. Big portions, big taste, well cooked. But more than than, this location. Best service. They were obviously understaffed for a full night. We got there at 8 and were a big group of 10. Super long wait for our food and one steak got cold. We had them do it again. The server was super courteous and apologetic. Then the manager came out and apologized and looked for the people in our group who had to wait the longest. Then they insisted on dessert on the house. Our server for years was just told that she did not speak Spanish and needed to get them a "Spanish Only" speaking server! Nice thing about Applebee's is the consistency of the meals, good or bad. Lol We eat here regularly to take advantage of their 5.99 burger night, usually with a group of friends. Always busy and parking is usually an issue but overall worth the effort. read more

I have been a regular customer to this restaurant for years and today I felt very uncomfortable. Server was very sweet but manager gave dirty looks all night. I came in with a larger party, Manager immediately looked disgusted and made comments to her employees staring at my party. One of my friends food was forgotten and had to be rushed, he did not get his food until we were all finished with our meals. We go to Applebees at least 1 time a mo. and the service is great, tonight not so much though. There were quite a few hosts just standing there when we got there and only 1 trying to figure out seating. The manager came up to help and was incredibly rude to anyone she was in contact with, employees and patrons. I had a party of five and we were seated at a 4 top table. When asked why we couldn't have a larger booth (there were 3 open behind us) the host rudely said because they are for smaller parties. Not even 5 mins later they start a party of five down at a booth. I asked the manager if we could have a booth and she rudely told me that they are for smaller groups and I when I asked why another group of 5 were seated she just said fine you can have a booth all snarky. Ther wait time on our food was well over an hr and 15 mins and the food was poorly done. Grease pouring out of the tacos, hamburger buns hard as a rock. Other tables who arrived after us, some quite a while after were served first. Terrible night, we were there for 2 hrs for crap food and service. I will say our particular server was great and friendly, most of the other staff was crap. I myself work in the food industry and could not imagine operating the way they did tonight. read more

This review is for the food & cleanliness only. Our server was great. I know most of what they serve is frozen/processed food, but they could at least heat the food through before serving it. The mashed potatoes were cold, the broccoli/zuchinni mix was just a pile of cold, green mush & the beef was cooked/microwaved but still served cold. Our server was very helpful & earned her tip, but my dinner was lousy & my kids didn't like their meals either. (Chicken Tenders & Cowboy Burger) The value wasn't worth the cost of our meals. The cleanliness of the ladies room was horrible. It was obvious a young child had had an accident on the floor in front of the sinks, when I mentioned this to a staff member the reply was "oh yea I forgot about that". No reason for us to come back. No one in our group really wanted to come here, but we somehow ended up here. I should have gone to the Circle K for dinner instead. It took a few minutes to get seated, and almost seven minutes before out waitress came by for our drink order. How do I know it was almost seven minutes? I ordered the sampler platter with chicken wonton tacos, classic wings and the steak quesadilla towers. It took almost 20minutes for our food to come out and arrived at completely different times. When I asked our waitress to check on my order, the manager came out and said they had "dropped" my order and had to re-cook it. But when he told me what was being cooked, it wasn't what I ordered. Finally my sampler plate arrived at two different times. The food was merely adequate in taste and I was wondering what really happened to my food because of the problems. The quesadilla towers looked nothing like the picture, just a tortilla rolled up, cut in half laying on it's side. Wings were ok. Wonton tacos were crispy and decent. I had to ask for someone to send our waitress over with our checks. She was almost non-existent after she took our drink order. Even with the manager having to correct all kinds of problems with our meals, there was nothing done to make me feel like coming back here again. How about adjusting the price of the drinks to happy hour price like they should have been? How about offering to take something off the bill or doing anything to make me feel like giving Applebee's another chance. No one here seems to have the ability to ensure the guests have a good dining experience, or no one really cares. Either way, I won't be back here, or to any Applebee's. read more

Food: pre-engineered, predictable, standardized fare, with factory-prepped, pre-packaged, pre-portioned and Corporate Chef-Designed culinary adventures, slathered with grease and unhealthy combinations... NO SALT was used on ANY dishes, which is probably a corporate edict, as the sodium content is probably already HUGE in this kind of cuisine... Atmosphere: predictable... Beverages: Margarita ($1 extra gets you a double shot) was served in a Martini glass with salt rim, a lime wedge and an OLIVE?... as I said, clueless youth running a corporate store... I'm giving them a third star for leaving me (at least) satisfied with a nice portion size of (breaded, deep fried) shrimp... Lemon wedges should be standard, but had to beg for some... The artichoke dip appears huge, by the way, but the container is SO shallow, its contents are scooped up with those supergreasy, unsalted tortilla chips in one-two-three scoops... Disappointing... Final verdict: if all other local fare places are closed on a Sunday in this overly religious area of the country, and the only choice is a corporate-run nationwide chain above the McD standard, then Applebee's will do... I love their 1/2 price appetizers... and their fast and efficient staff... but that's it... The food that I've experienced here is a big MEH!! I usually come here after the local Wenatchee Wild games, or if my in-laws are dining out...
