My family and I recently visited our local Applebee's after my son received a youth council award. Initially, everything seemed great. We arrived without a wait, and our server was friendly. However, things took a turn for the worse when the food arrived. We had each ordered an entree and were about to start eating when my son discovered a hair in his pasta. It was a deeply concerning and unpleasant finding. Despite the situation, he asked me to remain calm and handle it discreetly. He wanted us to give the restaurant a chance to rectify the error, even though I was personally disgusted by the presence of foreign DNA in his food. We requested that the food be remade and that he receive a free refill of his drink. The server pretended to agree, but when the bill arrived, we were shocked to find that we were charged for both pastas and his refill. We immediately called for a manager, who informed us that he had never been informed about the issue, which is why no action had been taken. Despite the stress and upset, the manager was patient and understanding, and we were able to resolve the matter. We still left a tip, but it's important to be mindful of this incident. Oh, this Applebee's Grill + Bar location was horrible. The staff was very lax, and the bar was empty, yet service was lacking. I was given utensils wrapped in a napkin, but I ultimately discovered they were dirty and had food particles on them. When I asked for another set, the bartender/server looked at me like I was crazy for asking. I settled for a burger and fries. The burger lacked flavor and didn't taste good at all. We started with the app trio, only thing I thought was the pickles fries could be a little crispier. Wontons have an Asian sesame flavor and the beer cheese for the pretzels was the perfect touch. I absolutely love any of Applebees pasta. This was my first time trying the chicken broccoli Alfredo which has so much flavor , broccoli was fresh , and of course a breadstick on the side. The food was okay, but unfortunately, the service really took away from the overall experience. Our waiter made several comments and jokes that came across as unprofessional. At one point, she referred to the food as "trash," which was an odd and inappropriate comment to make while serving guests. She also jokingly told me "no" when I asked for a refill. While these comments may have been intended as jokes, they did not come across that way and made the experience uncomfortable. She eventually noticed that a member of my family was uncomfortable and stopped, which I appreciated. However, by that point, the overall experience had already been negatively affected. Stopped in today after school with my grandson. This was his pick. No one was at the entrance when we came in. Shortly after we were greeted and immediately seated. He had the pizza kids meal and I had the appetizer sampler with quesidilla, onions rings and shrimp. I can't remember the name of his drink that he enjoyed so much. I really enjoy this Applebees. I'm not the biggest fan of Applebees but my friend and family are and I never have a bad experience. I think it's the menu that seems to never change every time I randomly show up. I'm just tired of the same thing every time since I've been a kid. The service is always fine, nothing outstanding but nothing horrible. The appetizers being half off and the dollar mar-no-Rita that they always have is boring. Other than that, it's a chill spot. Worst service I have ever had in a restaurant in my life!! Me and my girl went there on Sunday, January 10, 2026. It wasn't very busy, therefore, waiting 10 minutes to get greeted should not have happened. Anyways... our server, a female, was real polite, but you can tell she was obviously new. When she was taking our drink order, I had asked her if she had Michelob ultra on tap or was it just Justin in the bottle... she told me that they had it on tab and in the bottle. So I ordered a tall draft beer of Michelob ultra. After waiting a few minutes, she comes back to tell me that they only have it in a bottle, to which I replied, thats fine. Eventually, she comes back, only with a drink for my girlfriend, and she informed me that they don't have Michelob ultra in a bottle...... I told her a Bud Light draft was fine. (I swear you can't make this stuff up) She returns with a tall blue moon with an orange slice in it... I told her that wasn't a Bud Light. I personally got up and took it to the bar and told him I wanted a Bud Light and the bartender said, it will be right out.... Yo, this server brings back the same blue moon, thatI just returned to the bar!! Smh. I told her, that is not a Bud Light!! She said, it IS a Bud Lite.. I told her, no, it's not, that is the same beer you just brought me! So she took it away, and eventually brought me the beer I asked for.... As we are eating our appetizer sampler, and I'm finally sipping a beer that I waited for what it seemed like a half hour to get, the manager comes over and asked us how we were doing.... I told him about the beer issue and he said he would comp it off the bill..... Now, I'm not a cheap person, but being that I've been a server off and on for many years, he should've comped the entire check at that point.... I could not believe that the server, brought back the same beer, a blue moon with an orange slice, that I told her wasn't the right beer, and took back to the bar... I was in disbelief. I go to this applebees maybe 1 a week or every other week but when i came in today at 9:30 pm 1 and half hours away from closing they refused to seat us for no reason and when i asked why they would not give me a reason and i was told to leave. In comparison to the Applebees at Largo, this one is more tranquil ambience. Our waitress Deon was very nice and friendly since the start. I asked for a really sweet drink rec and they brought me a strong Long Island--It was hella sweet I loved it, they mentioned it had 5 of something, can't remember now, LOL. I ended having 2 and my friend had 2 of some that had 'Mama' in the name, no clue. Deon, also personally made our drinks which we appreciate. They still have all you can eat boneless and I'm so glad I didn't miss out of the experience. My friend and I tapped out at the 3rd serving. Your first plate includes 7 boneless & your other servings are 4c. I tried the Garlic Parmesan first(soggy & too greasy) , then Buffalo (taste like Red Hot sauce) and lastly Asian chili(i hated the taste, reminds me of carry-out beef but can't remember the name of, I just don't like flavor it got). Buffalo for the win, fries were good, not soggy and crisp was leveled. The coleslaw portion only came with first plate and I would prefer that over the ranch that tastes like blue cheese, idk. Lastly, we used the restrooms and while you see a lil bit of mess, for the most part these were clean and smell REALLY nice, like a whole raspberry fragrance. My family and I came in to the Towson locatio around 10:15 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not too crowded but the guests were clustered together in sections. The hostess took my daily of 4 to an over crowded area to a table with only 3 chairs. When I asked if we could sit in one of the booths with much more open space I was told it would be a 10 min wait. i counted 7 open booths and the hostess could not explain to me why we had to wait. After waiting over 10 mins we were sat at a booth that was empty since we had arrived. We then waited another 10-15 mins for the server to come over. She was unapologetic but still polite. The last time I was here I tried the oriental chicken salad. It was okay last time so I went with that again. And again it was okay. For an appetizer we tried the chicken wonton tacos which was the star of the meal. My daughter tried the garlic Parmesan wings. Which she did not enjoy. Along with the four cheese Mac & cheese. Tonight, we decided to treat ourselves to carryout. We ordered online, which was quite easy. Since Applebee's was having a special on shrimp, we ordered the 8 oz. Sirloin with green beans and mashed potatoes and of course the $1 shrimp (a dozen fried shrimp). As soon as I left the door and made it halfway down the road, I received a text. I texted back that I was on the way and texted when arrived. The young man who came out, was very polite and courteous and advised my order will be out shortly. I didn't think to check my order before I left, since it was only 1 order. As soon as I got my order, I drove home, which is less than 10 away from the restaurant. My food was hot, and kept well. The only that was a disappointment was to only find 11 pieces of shrimp. I would give the server 5 stars . Haven't been here in a forever, but I was in town on a Monday with time to waste. So I decided to come here around 3pm. I can only ASSSUMMMEEE the place was short staffed. There were many times when I was just left sitting alone hoping my waitress would return lol. And a few glances I saw the waitress just laughing it up with the other servers. She was really nice tho! A couple who came in at the same time as I did, ended up leaving. Not sure why, but it was a good 15 mins we had just been seated and not even offered water. Too bad, they were excited to be there. Said they had not been at this location in over 15 years I ended up getting the $6 Sangria which was tasty and the double crunchy fried wings. They were good. Came with a little bit of blue cheese. Had to wait almost 30 mins to get more blue cheese. And that was all that I got, so the time between the appetizer made me not want to wait for what would prob be an hour for an entree. What you see is what you get at Applebees. Please don't come here expecting more than what it is. I prefer Applebees over TGI, Olive Garden, etc. it's definitely way better quality. My tip is to also go when they're not super busy so you can get better service and food! My meal was delicious! Would only come back to this one or the one in Columbia. We dined at this location today. Placed our order and I requested onion rings instead of fries. When I received my order it came with fries. Told the waitress I ordered onion rings it took 15 min before I got them. When they arrived I was finished my meal and refused them. She blamed it on the kitchen which was untrue, she never placed the order correctly and when my husband said that she got rude and disrespectful My husband spoke to the manager who acted like he was afraid of his employees. He just stood there no apology or anything just took the onion rings off the bill. We use to love eating at that location when Jordan worked there. We stopped by in hopes of a quick cheap dinner. Let me preface this with saying that attentiveness is so important. Upon entering the restaurant, we waited a minute too long to be greeted by the young servers. Once seated, it took over five minutes for our waitress to greet us at our table. We ordered our drinks, I decided on a red sangria and waters were served also. The appetizer was mozzarella sticks and they were freshly made but the after taste was bitter as if they were cooked in old oil. Finally, the entrees are served but without napkins and silverware. We waited over 5 minutes for the silverware which was a bit annoying because we were both ready to dig in. Now, his food seemed to be fine. My food however, was served with mushrooms that I asked be removed. The chicken and shrimp was cooked well temperature wise. My home girl and I just recently dropped in for a couple of vodka strawberry lemonades. They really hit the spot after a long stressful (and hot) day. Okay so me and my best friend decided to go to Applebees since she went and the service was great on Saturday but today would not recommend. So let's start with the hostess she was great got us seated and gave us a run down of the specials. We sat for over 20min before our actual waitress came to take our order or even offer us a cup of water & that only happened because I had to go to the front and ask where our waitress was. So after she finally came without even apologizing for the delay she takes our order but also another couple who just walked in order. It took another 25min for us to receive water still & we ordered appetizers but they came after the food. When asked to speak to the manager I don't feel as though our concerns were taking seriously and we were just brushed off. The waitress even laughed at us when we had another lady bring our drinks over. Also they gave me one check which was incorrect when I gave my card they charged me a totally different amount than the check I received. I will not be visiting that location again. I mean come on it's Applebee's, it's not like it's known for high quality food or being an upscale place. However, coming here for half off appetizers on a Friday night is worth it. It's not great but it's cheap and that junk food that you enjoy. We ordered boneless buffalo and bbq wings, wonton tacos, mozzarella sticks, loaded nachos, and chicken quesadillas. Some of us also got their $5 mucho long island iced teas. They were pretty big but also not that strong so I don't know if I'd get it again. The highlight of the trip was our server though. He was super friendly and helpful, and constantly apologized for reasons he didn't have to because honestly he went above and beyond. I had never been to Applebee's prior to this trip. I loved the appetizers way more than I did the entrees and definitely would return honestly for the apps. I also went when they did $1 margaritas and what a deal. Seriously. The spinach and artichoke dip was so good and the pub pretzels with beer cheese was one of my favorites. I loved the cheese and that it came with mustard as well. The person I went with ordered the three cheese chicken pasta and honestly, I kind of wish I had gotten it because it was so creamy and delicious. I ordered the fiesta lime chicken which was good, I enjoyed it. But I found that the chicken was a little dry and way too lime-y for me. However, service was really great because our waiter went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience.
