Service was fast and the waiter was extremely kind made sure everything was correct the food was great the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger is one of my favorite things on the menu but I will say it's got a little more spice than they warn you lol but over all its definitely my favorite burger there the basket fries are crunchy and perfect and can go with any dipping sauce you prefer the Ultimate Tri was wonderful as well the wings at Applebees are always good wifey loves the little chicken tacos and the Fried Pickle Fries are interesting but good they are different then the little round ones most places serve but they are definitely good Applebees will always be a American Staple! the past 3 times I have been to Applebee's they have been out of both wines that we drink, once on a Friday and they don't get the deliveries till tuesdays so we were told, it is to bad we really enjoy the apps. you would think the manager would make sure that they have plenty wine knowing this isnt the first time this has happened. read more

I've eaten at this location a handful of times over the past three or four years, but our most recent visit a week or so ago was definitely the standout so far. We both had the bacon cheeseburger, fries and drink for $9.99 deal and found everything cooked to perfection and satisfying. Our server was friendly and prompt and our only complaint was that it was VERY cold in the dining room, to the point that we sat there and ate with our coats on. actually its not Applebees but Yelp (grubhub) Ive never used it before and I never will again. I ordered 2 simple items from Applebees at 1:43 pm.. it said estimated delivery was 30-50 minutes. its been 1 and one half hours + and i called grubhub to find out where my order was. they said it would be at my residence, which keep in mind isnt far from my address, it will be there by 4pm. 2 hours and 16 minutes after ordering!!!! Then, 3 minutes after i spoke with grubhub, my order was canceled by email. Always fantastic service whenever me and my wife go for lunch. Everyone is so friendly pleasant and welcoming they make it feel like you're at home when you go there. Food is always great too,we always do the 2 for $30 and start out with mozzarella sticks. Very disappointed in the Applebees in Sanford!! The onion soup was in a smaller bowl for the price of what used to be the larger one, not as many choices on the very small menu, was seated but waited for too long for an actual waitress! Drove across country come home to Maine and go out to one of my favorite restaurants Applebee's. What a disappointment in service. I ordered the all you can eat riblets, tenders and shrimp. I asked to get a sampler of all 3 to start yes no problem, but that was not the case. I ordered French Onion Soup for an appetizer, two others got there's the main course came first then she said your soup will be out in a minute. I refused the soup. The manager came over apologizing giving excuses that they were busy 20 total patrons. When I asked for a reorder immediately 6 tiny shrimp and a lot of fries and again I ordered more right then and there and took 20 minutes. On a business card instead of a gift certificate next to you come in a free French Onion Soup on Applebee's. Very disappointing and the food was not all that tasty. read more

It's Applebees. It is pretty bad frozen food, microwaved and delivered to you on a heaping platter. I got married in Sanford Maine and the night before my wedding it was pouring and cold so a couple of the groomsmen and my now husband headed over here for some drinks and to watch the Stanley cup finals since our lake house was without tv. Aren't I a nice wife..the Bobby Orr jersey even made an appearance at the wedding! Back to Applebees.... They have cheap beer served in pitchers so the boys loved it. At about 10 PM we got a phone call from them slurring their words and my maid of honor and I went to go get them. We had some of their quesadilla (really bacon in a quesadilla) it was pretty gross and then brought them home. The decor is like any Applebees. I took my 11 year old nephew to eat here for lunch. The hostess sat us in the bar area at a booth table. I thought that was a little strange with a kid. Then even though there were plenty of empty tables available, the hostess proceeded to seat someone directly behind us on both sides. You would think during covid they would space people out when possible, and it definitely was possible! My nephew and I could have leaned back and smacked heads with fellow patrons! Really, during covid???? I have tried 4 times now to call and speak to a supervisor regarding my concerns, but keep getting a recording to call back in a few minutes. I've been hitting up Applebee's fairly regularly for their half-priced late night appetizers for a few weeks now. I've greatly enjoyed this. Service has been excellent. I'm a server myself so I know when I'm getting good service or the "screw you it's late and I want to go home" service. The appetizers (whether they're originally frozen or not doesn't rightly matter to me for the price) are cheap and good. I've also had some of their desserts and was pleased with them. Last trip 4 of us went and got 4 appetizers for $33 and change. Not a bad deal if you ask me. The only issue I have - and it's a mild complaint at best - is the wait to be seated for the late night. But really if that's the worst I have to complain about, it's all good by me. read more

my husband and I have dined at this establishment a handful of times. we both ordered the cheeseburger. Our waitress asked pink or no pink. We both said pink. When the burgers came I cut mine in half it was well done. My husbands had a touch of pink but poured out grease. I showed our waitress and she did ask if we wanted new burgers. We declined because we waited long enough for the burgers. They did take some money off the bill. I did leave half of the burger so they could show it to the cook who made the burgers. Had a similar issue with a different burger. But I was told it was a new cook that just graduated from a culinary school. It will be a long while before we go back. read more

we visit this applebee's often, they always have a great selection and great tasting food and service. There is only one problem, it is so cold inside that we usually have to leave before planned due to the temperature inside, We have told the servers,but it seems that management does not realize the many complaints about it. We have several neighbors that have stopped going there for the same reason.Since there is so many places to choose from unless management takes action, seniors would not go there. Same as any old Applebee's. Employees are usually friendly, but skill/attentiveness varies as there seems tto be fairly frequent turnover. The food is as expected, sometimes not very fresh or overcooked/burnt, always salty. They seem to go out of their way to use the worst possible seating sections when it's less crowded.
