I normally don't leave reviews, but today I'm beyond pissed off about my recent order from Applebee's. I cannot believe a restaurant would even think it's acceptable to serve food looking like this! First off, the wings were absolutely unacceptable. Where was the sauce?! They were dry, barely coated, and definitely NOT hot, even though I had to wait for them to be brought out. If I'm waiting, I expect fresh, hot food -- not something that feels like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. You would never serve food like this inside the restaurant, so why would you think it's okay to hand it out for car side to go orders? Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. Then there's the so-called dessert. The ice cream that came with the blondie was just sad. It looked like someone scraped the bottom of an almost-empty container and threw it into a cup, thinking nobody would notice. Again -- extremely lazy and shows zero pride in what you're serving. After a long day at work, all I wanted was a decent meal so I could eat and relax. Instead, I ended up frustrated, disappointed, and honestly feeling like I completely wasted my money. Applebee's needs to do WAY better. This experience was embarrassing, lazy, and nowhere near the standard a paying customer should expect. read more

It has been years since I have been here. We tried the ayce and had the chicken and shrimp. The chicken was good for several dishes but the shrimp got worse with each plate. The fries were also salty. The Buffalo sauce was pretty bad as was the cocktail and tartar sauce. The spicy honey mustard sauce was pretty good. read more

went to ask for a table and they said it'd be about a 20 minute wait and then I noticed there were several booths and tables that are open with no one sitting at them and I said why isn't these tables been taken and the reply was we backed up in the kitchen so we have to do a 1520 minute delay to get them caught up but the issue is there's several tables that are open so what happens when this place gets busy to me that's unacceptable. Late night Halloween dinner for two at Applebee's tonight. Standard Applebee's experience-good, cheaper side, and came out quickly. But, our dessert came out with dinner, which seemed odd. Most of the ice cream had melted by the time we finished dinner. Besides that, everything food wise was good. Our server was not super attentive, though, which made the experience less than stellar. Overall, I'd love to go back as we enjoyed the food, and definitely forgive our server as it was Halloween night and she was probably exhausted from the day of work. read more

Ordered the new "NEW NEIGHBORHOOD DOUBLE BURGER" this is the menu description. A signature classic. Two juicy, all-beef 3.5 oz. patties are seared and stacked with American cheese and smothered with buttery garlic sauce. Served with shredded lettuce and pickles on a Brioche bun. Served with classic fries. Well when it came it was one patty cut in half. We asked the manager because it states 2-3.5 beef patties not 1-3.5 patty cut in half. The manager says yup that's how it's made. Seriously!!!! I haven't been to this restaurant in such a long time but I'm glad that I did. They launched a lot of new food items, many of which seemed appealing. For the appetizer, we ordered the cheeseburger egg rolls. They were ok and had more cheese than meat :/. For my meal, I ordered the bone-in pork chop with honey apple chutney, mashed potatoes and green beans. When I say that my meal was DELICIOUS, I really mean it. The bone-in pork was well cooked, flavorful and moist! I just licked my lips thinking about it, lol. The sides were good too. My mom ordered the crispy brewhouse chicken and loved her meal as well. The waitress/server was nice and provided good service. She was very helpful with choosing our meal options. The parking set up/availability is not the best. Don't sleep on Applebees guys. Horrible absolutely horrible experience tonight. The food was fine but we were seated near a group of men who were super loud I couldn't even hear the waitress. It seemed that the group of men knew many of the workers here since they kept calling everyone over and gossiping. Not only were they loud but they used nasty language constantly, they talked about their son being a rapist. Disgusting information to be talked about aloud in a family restaurant. Several kids were around and they are speaking about that and jumping around playing loud music etc. None of the staff said a word to them. Never coming back here again. Service was horrendous. Our server Brenda came to our table and said hi how are you then waked away and didn't come back for 10 mins. She finally took our drinks and our food order. We got our food about 30-45 mins later. We asked for honey mustard and never got it, We even asked a food runner to grab some for us and we still never got it until we were finished with our food. Not once did she come and check on us. Eating good in the neighborhood. It has been years since I've eaten at an Applebee's restaurant. I asked for the burger quesadilla, as I was curious from seeing it advertised on a television commercial. It was surprisingly good, hot and tasty. The other order was a cheeseburger, which had 2 slices of cheese, delightfully unexpected. Really a 3.5 as far as a chain restaurant is concerned. read more

This review is about the Curbside-to-Go at Applebee's Grill in Salisbury,NC. The instructions say, "do you want Curbside?" Easy just pull up and we will come right out with your order. So I order on line wait for the allocated time and pull right up to the space. Seven minutes later still nothing. There is no number to call on the parking space sign so I have to go in( defeats the purpose of Curbside), The place is empty...no one around to yell out to but I see a bag ready to be picked-up for take-out. Finally, I guess an off-duty waitress walks from across the room to tell me someone will be there, shortly. I say, "There's my bag!" I paid for it on-line. She says they will be out. Two minutes later a comatose looking girl walks out of the back kitchen. I tell her about the Curbside order and that might be my cold food. She looks at the bag and hands it to me, no thank you or anything. I mention to her the purpose of Curbside and the 20% tip I left with the online order was not to walk-in the restaurant. She said, I guess it is my fault. Please do not talk to me about $15.00 an hour or a living wage. First you have to be alive to make the wage. Literally if I could give a negative star I would. Went in late on Monday evening and every employee was staring making us feel very uncomfortable for coming an hour before close. Then our appetizer and drinks came and were super good. Then when our meals came the were horrendous!!! My fiancé meal was watery when he got chicken pasta. Chicken was so hard he couldn't bite it. Then I got ribs and fries where the ribs were blackened so much all you could tastewas burnt meat then my fries tasted like they had sat all night. I used to frequent this Applebees on a regular basis, but after noticing a decline in service and quality, decided to move on to other restaurants in Salisbury. The food isn't bad. In fact, I enjoy a couple of the dishes on the menu, but I always feel like I have to go the extra mile just to get the level of service that I used to enjoy there. I'm not sure if it's a result of the tough economy, but I couldn't overlook the little things (as well), like them being a little greedy with the sauces and such. If you've been going there since they opened, you'll no doubt know what I'm talking about. You used to not have to ask for "extra on the side," just so you can taste it in your meal. read more

That's the worst service I've had in a while. Brionna was our server. We waited 20 min before getting our drink order then we waited another 20 min for some wack top shelf Long Island ice teas. The hostess was extremely rude when we came with a large family after a long softball tournament. All having been with each other throughout the pandemic we're not able to split evenly in 5 and 5. After we tried to move tables we were told we were unable to move the tables to be able to interact with one another. We asked why and were rudely shut down with little explanation. Went for lunch on a slow Tuesday. The server was very attentive and the manager was fantastic resolving an issue with an incorrectly made drink. However the same can't be said for the bartender on duty on this day. She made a Tito's mule incorrectly then refused to taste it with the straw test. Totally ridiculous she should be testing her drinks before they leave her bar and she would have realized she made it undrinkable with way too much lime juice mix instead of a splash of lime juice concentrate. Totally ridiculous on her attitude too saying that's how u make a drink like that.. what to gag and want to vomit from the sour mix taste?? 'Curbside pickup' means wait in your car for no service, walk in the rain, get awkward looks from employees or just flat out get ignored for 10 minutes, get a ridiculously small portion and pay $30. Well, today my wife and I decided to try the All You Can Eat special and I got to say we were very dissapointed. First let me say our server was great considering the amount of people there just after 11am. Now we started off with the boneless wings and the double crunch shrimp...everything came out fast. After the first round is where the issues started. Our next round was Ribbletts for my wife and more shrimp for myself. It awhile for her ribbletts to be prepared and once brought out they were over cooked and drowned with sauce to disguise the fact they were overcooked. My second round of shrimp was rushed...the first round shrimp the batter was actually apart of the shrimp...with the second round the batter just flaked off. My third round were the Ribbletts and just like my wife's they brought out two over cooked ribs with sauce everywhere. At this point my wife was done and I wanted to try the wings so my final round were the boneless wings. I got the hot flavor...Not Hot at all, additionally they only bring you like 5 or 6 small ones where my wife's furst round boneless wings were huge and plentiful. My final thoughts on this is it is not worth the 12.99 they charge you for this level of food. I have been here multiple times and this is the first time I have been this dissapointed with a meal. No pics for this as it wasnt worth the time and effort. read more

During the social distancing, my husband, grand baby and I stopped to get some exercise. We stopped in the parking lot of one of the restaurants. We pulled our grand baby scooter and bike out for her to ride. We were in the parking lot for a few hours, and notice a young lady walking towards us with drinks in her hands. Under-served, Overcharged, mediocre food. Waited on after other tables seated after us, wrong drinks, no silverware (still waiting on a knife), cold bland food, problem with the bill (they gave our bill to another table who paid it, so they asked us to pay their bill)??? ... you can't make this stuff up. So applebee's is usually quite good because its a chain and they've got their system down but i went last night and it was rather dissapointing. I ordered the sizzling shrimp and steak with red potatos and beans. The steak was tiny ( like 4.oz instead of 7) they ran out of potatoes so i was given rice and there was a total of 8 beans. My brother had the appetizer trio which was good but his chips wee stale. My father also had a steak but he had two potatos thats it!!! The only redeeming factor was the our server TIM who was great. Its sad i have to score them so low because i am an applebees enthusiast, but the food was way off what it usually is. Hopefully it will be better next time read more

Food was subpar, service was subpar, ambiance is on par...with every other Applebee's I've been to. Ordered appetizers, and dinner was served less than 30 seconds later. When we looked at the waitress who brought the food out, she simply said, "I guess you are not ready for this...but it's ok, that means you won't have to wait long to eat your dinner after finishing those appetizers" and proceeded to place our meals on the table...so by time we finished the appetizers, our dinners were cold. Not a good way to service someone. We rarely stop here because of the food and service, but at 7:00 on a Saturday night, what are you gonna do? My mom and I went to celebrate my birthday, and it was packed. Even so, they had us seated within ten minutes and brought our drinks out quickly. It took a little longer for our waitress to get to us to take our orders after that, mainly because of an issue with a toddler at another table. Even so, she was extremely appologetic, and was sincere. However, that's when things got sticky. The waiters/waitresses weren't the ones bringing out the food. I assume it was bussers that were doing that. It took a good half hour for our food to get to us, and when it did, half of my plate was missing, and both plates were cool to the touch. When we waved down our waitress, her first statement was, "Those are not sizzling," and immediately picked them up without us saying anything. As she was, I mentioned the missing pieces of my meal, and she said she would make sure it was done right this time. I believe she did, because she didn't come back out of the kitchen area until she was walking over with our plates, and a manager. Without missing a beat, he appologized for our meal, upgraded my birthday dessert from a "sampling size" to a full size, and got my mom dessert for free as well. It was suppose to come with black bean salsa, but when inquired, waitress brought back regular salsa with no black beans. Pretty certain that it had more tortilla steps than it had lettuce.
