I've been here several times and really enjoy their new menu. Their new pub sandwiches are excellent. Would have been five stars but service was a little lacking. She just did the bare minimum and kind of forgot about us for a while. read more

Applebees is a hit or miss restraunt and this time it was definitely a miss. Service was ok but i saw several waitresses being inappropriate in the middle of the restraunt. Food was extremely bland. I ordered the 4 cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. The mac and cheese was incredibly watery and gross. I ate the chicken but couldn't finish the mac and cheese. I do not recomend. read more

We ate here over the weekend, and enjoyed our food. The restaurant was clean, service was friendly, and we all enjoyed our meals. I don't think the menu has as many options as it used to, and I think it's ridiculous to have to pay $3.50 to substitute a dinner salad for another side, but I assume that is at all Applebee's . All in all, I would definitely eat here again. read more

Tonight we had excellent service at this Applebee's. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Our food washout quickly. The steak was mediocre. It was a bit chewy, dry and flavorless. The potatoes and broccoli were great!! Normally the service at this Applebee's is slow so I was happy tonight. :) read more

So I normally really like Applebee's. It's has become a regular restaurant for us recently. But today, something is off. Our waitress is about the only ok thing about our experience here. It started with ordering chips n salsa without looking at the menu. Then we realized, or forgot there were chips salsa and spinach dip in their two for 25. We asked if we could do that and were told that chips n salsa could not be converted to the one that was on the deal. Managers call not the waitress. The reason we were given was it was an inventory issue. I fail to see the reason for that considering contents of the app were the same. So we ordered anyway and waited for food. The speed of service was ok but only part of our order showed up and my husband's food was supposedly coming right up. I don't feel right eating if someone at my table doesn't have food. So we waited 5-7 minutes because our waitress was trying to multi task two tables. Then, they forgot to give my husband a knife for his food. That took another 5 minutes for a knife. Meanwhile my food was getting cold. Now all that considered it was still not terrible. But what really set us off was having another waitress/hostess pick at her teeth at the hostess stand as we were eating. First she had some kind of candy packet or ketchup packet hanging out of her mouth when she showed up to work, then a few minutes later she had some kind of long toothpick hanging from her mouth she was picking her teeth with. And she must have not been able to get out whatever was causing her mouth issue because she went at it with her fingernails afterwards while walking around the restaurant. Now, I understand if you need to fish something out of your teeth, but that is a private matter that should not happen in plain view of the customers. Food was just ok this time and I'm not sure if it was due to our negative experience with the staff or not. But it just felt off. It was valentines evening and we purposely picked a family place because we had our son with us. It wasn't at all crowded either so I don't understand why food couldn't have been brought all together. read more

Worst kitchen ever. Incorrect order, then ordered chicken to replace it, it came out raw. Thanks god I but into it by chance. My grandparents went back, had same problems. None of us will be revisiting this establishment. read more

I Went in this evening and had shrimp with the house salad. My daughter had the 6oz sirloin, it was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Our waitress was Lucy and she was knowledgeable about everything and did an amazing job. Thanks for making our experience great. read more

Really horrible service, waited long time for basic drinks just as tea and sodas. Food was extremely over priced for portion size and 2 for $25 ended up being 2 for $32 after being nickel and dimed for sides. I haven't been to a Apple bees in years and can promise I never will be back again. read more

I stopped here for lunch today-for the first time in several years. I found a hair on my plate and stopped a waiter who asked if I wanted a new plate or to have it cooked all over again. I chose the latter. No apology. I could have been conversing with him about my socks. Thankfully, a manager came by and nicely apologized. The food was okay. Due to the fact that hair in food is truly gross to me, I probably won't be back for a while. read more

Food was poor and our waiter (Dalton) made several mistakes on the order, including an incorrect charge on the bill.

Last time my husband and i came to eat here there was actually a conversation in front of us as to who would serve us because one waitress didnt want to. I was standing right next to them waiting to be seated. It was not busy. She simply did not care. I have never been so offended at a restaurant. The other waitress had no problem taking care of us but seriously, if you're going to complain about what you are paid to do, don't do it in front of the customer who is paying you. Will not go back. read more

Karaoke on Saturday nights transforms this into a not so typical Applebee's. you don't need to drive far for a good time. Never thought I would have so much fun at a family restaurant. After 10:30 on saturdays, children have gone home. DJ is set up, people sing, throw in the wobble and Cupid shuffle cold beer and wings! read more

Clean restaurant with a friendly staff. A little pricy, but the food is wonderful. It's not too busy either, which is exactly how I like it.

This Rockwall location has lost my business from this whole company. After I drove 30 minutes they are closed an hour and a half early. The guy working tells me they don't close at 2am on Fridays it's just on Saturday's. When online and their sign right out front reads 2 am on Fridays... when the manager came she tells me they have been slow so she was closing early. What a joke!! I work at a restaurant and even if it is slow we would never close early.... read more

Ok so me and my family are in town and staying a la quinta behind this establishment. I decided to walk and place a togo order and as i was walking to the restaurant i guess they had a delivery because the back door was proped open and i saw a cart with meat next to trash cans and dumpsters i know thats not how they deliver food so maybe they defrost food like that? Anyways i took a pic maybe i could have been trespassing but i just wanted to show how disgusting this restaurant handles our food they should shut this place down!!!! read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - This is how applebees handles our food not properly handling meat it sits next to trash and dumpsters!! This place needs to be shut down - Sports Bars Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

A group of friends and I ate at this Applebees from about 10:30-11:00 last night. The moment we walked in, we were faced with very loud club type music. It took us two attempts for the staff to actually turn it down to a non-blaring level. The music just made the atmosphere awful in general. We ordered the cheese sticks appetizer. They tasted like the frozen ones you pop into the oven at home. We also ordered chips and salsa. Our waitress could not keep our chips and salsa stocked or at least even a little bit full for the life of her. For 4 people, we were only brought ONE tiny cup of salsa. The tray of chips probably held like 10-12 chips; they were gone in 2 minutes. We only received one refill on the salsa and the tray of chips and that was because we asked. The chips and salsa appetizer was a huge rip off and we so felt we didn't get our money's worth.. Our waitress came to our table plenty of times and somehow, we still weren't given a full service. The atmosphere was poor. This may not be under the staff's control, but the bar area was lit up like a grocery store milk aisle. We all felt incredibly uncomfortable. We considered leaving at the beginning, but decided to stay because we had already ordered and drinks and an appetizer. If it were solely up to me, we would have left very early on. We all wish we did. In conclusion: a BIG waste of money. $37 I'll never get back. read more

I have had a wonderful experience, with learning about their new remodel I went in expecting some changes and I have seen the menu get more complex and delicious! The service was fantastic and I was greeted very fast when I went in! Lots of TVs which is great!!! read more

This particular Applebee's in Rockwall suffers more than most Applebee's throughout the Nation. They just can't seem to get it right ! Example: We came to eat at the Rockwall Applebee's tonight (based on recent dining service here rated by me as "Very Good..."). We get seated, promp greeting by our assigned server, drinks out in good time, order taken and...........no food for 43 minutes! We did not wait for the 44th minute...we walked. We don't care....We have had this type of service before at the Rockwall Applebee's. It's like some Bad Karma Fog comes up from Lake Ray Hubbard and settles only at the Rockwall Applebee's. I hope the cook's / bartender enjoyed our dinner(s).....because I pray that Applebee's Executive Management reads this review and closes the Rockwall Applebee's for good....Guy's, it's just not working here. read more

Came in to try the new caprese chicken. The way the new menu is layed out leads you to believe the new items are on the 2 for $20. They're not. It's a ruse. The chicken was warm and seasoned. The basil was brown. The tomatoes and onions looked nothing like the pic. The best part was the garlic mash. I mean if all you have is brown basil then leave it off. And yes, I realize I'm talking about applebees. I contacted corporate. They gave me a case number and told me that they would be contacting me in 3 to 5 days. It's been 7. This place has taken my money for the last time. I mean chili's is always better and at least it's not corporate policy there to pour an inch of head on your $4 beer. Next time your hungry for appledoodoos go to east Hampton sandwich, hell even long John silver's parsley is green. So the applebees guy calls me. Wants to earn my business back. He sends me a letter with his card. It was for $15!!! Wow! I was taken aback. I mean the possibilities with that kind of money at applebees. Trying to win my business back...more like trying to get me in the door to spend more money on less than mediocre food. I threw his card and gift letter in the trash. read more

My husband and I used to love this Applebee's in Rowlett not so much anymore! We used to be treated like great patrons of their establishment ! BUT NOT TODAY we went in as usual and were waited on by the bartender a youngish brunette, she could not wait until I decided on my drink order and I had to wait another 15 minutes before she came back. I ordered a whiskey lemonade which was the worse tasting drink I have ever been served in 40 years. She never came to check on our drink or meal but instead thought it a great idea to feel up the breasts of a customer she was encouraged to do this but seeing this was the highlight of our experience at this restaurant bar- NOT. We felt ignored and slighted because the bartender and bestie were too busy playing feelsy with the two young ladies at the bar!! We have been regulars at this establishment for a couple years now they used to have a bartender that made us feel part of the family and it was rated G before . If the establishment wants nothing but 20-30 somethings or so they should have let us know beforehand. Manager you know something was wrong but you were to spineless to say anything. I gave you a look several times and you should have ask us what's wrong, but you brought our check so the no working bartender could keep playing with her guests. We probably will never go there again! Not until you change HELP!! We went to another place and had a great evening drinking and eating sorry for you that you didn't get the money you could have. read more

The food has come out good over the last couple months. I don't know if management changed but it is for the better. Waiter has been great. They accommodated my sons severe food allergy and was nice about it. Low cost real meal stop. They stay open late also. Oh but the jukebox at times is really loud.. keep up the good work on the changes for the better. read more

I used to come to this applebees very often. Ever since the remodel, which of course is nice, shit went downhill. I came here on a Thursday night at 12am, it was completely dead except for like two people talking at the bar. Now, they are open till 2am, are they not? Yes, it's all over their sign and store "OPEN TILL 2AM EVERY NIGHT!" Hard miss. Well, I walk in with just 4 people including me, they said a health inspector was there and they weren't taking tables, haha at 12am. Eric V told me this and his first words were actually "were closed"... He went up to ask his manager if we were still serving and she peeked around the corner and then he looked very upset walking towards us as he picked up menus and silverware. My husband said to him, "If it's a problem, we can go somewhere else, my wife is a server so we get it." He said, "no no, I got you." Well, he did well, I made it very easy for him and still left him a great tip regardless of him lying to me about being close 2 hours early. I was pretty upset about this... if we did this where I serve... we'd be in BIG trouble. Y'all are a chain restaurant... your sign says 2 am. I probably won't come here again honestly. But to each their own. It's not a bad looking place, well kept, food is average. read more

This place blows. We sat at the table for over half an hour and wasn't served with drinks, no waiter or waitress came up to us at all. The hostess told us to go sit, she didn't even take us to the table. The waitress we saw was talking with her friends and laughing with these customers, you can tell they were friends and she just completely ignored us. We walked out and went to Chili's and was amazing. Never going to this location again. And the place was empty so you know that they were not backed up. Everybody was standing around. read more
