Went in for the unlimited riblets. The first ones were pretty good. Tender, tasty. The first order came with about five on the order. Ordered a second round. Got two, which is fine. Just have to order again sooner. The problem was that they were noticeably of a lesser quality. That's when I remembered that Applebees had done this in the past. I got a third order. Another two, which is fine cuz I wanted to try a different sauce. BUT they were actually worse than the second ones. I'm not suggesting that they have three grades of riblets, probably just chance in what the cook grabbed. But the definitely have the good ones for the first course and sub-par ones for follow-up orders. If I had gotten the sub-par ones in the first order, I would have sent them back. At least at this Applebees, you can switch between the riblets and chicken fingers. If you can eat chicken fingers,I would suggest getting the riblets for the first round and chicken fingers after that. I don't see how they can substitute sub-par chicken fingers. read more

Decent food. Okay prices. If Chili's is too packed this is my next go to spot. I feel like the quality is not as good as some other similar restaurants, but overall it's pretty okay. The steaks always seem to have a lot of fat in them, so I don't ever order steak at Applebees. I'd say go to this place if you want to eat out but aren't looking to break the bank. You get what you pay for. read more

Walked in and walked out as the servers were yelling that there was no place to put a party of seven when the place was empty!!! It's ridiculous how the service has declined!! read more

We've been using curbside to go at this location because of COVID-19, and it has been great each and every time. Since March 2020, we've probably gone 5 times and have absolutely no complaints. The steaks have been cooked perfectly and every order has been correct and delicious. It's been better than other restaurants in the area that cost more. Definitely happy with this location and they deserve major credit for going above and beyond, especially during a pandemic. read more

This place is horrible. Stop by for dinner and drinks. Waited 30 min for a table. That is ok! Where things got worse is after seating us, nobody attended to us. Finally after an hour of wasted time, we ended up at another establishment! #awful read more

I don't think I'm eatin' good in the neighborhood here, okay Applebee's? I'm eating "okay." The reason people go here is for the drink specials mostly. I mean, they have food and I see it on plates in front of people, but it's the cheap booze that brings them back time and again. I honestly can't even remember what my hamburger tasted liked. That's not good. A burger should be memorable. Come for the cheap drinks and the conversations about religion and politics that inevitably follow. read more

The food at Applebee's is always tasty! I love their spicy chicken chicken sandwich. In fact, it's better than Chic-Fil-A chicken sandwich. Applebee's prices are reasonable, they have a good selection of food....but their Curb Side Pick-Up is lacking. Meaning, they are quite slow and not able to keep their times. I think the servers always try to do a good job and most of them do! Applebee's tries! This location has fairly good service, but they were late with our order which we place an hour ahead of time. The food was good though and the service wasn't that bad. Room for improvement, but worth a a try. I will return to this location. read more

Just awful, I just paid 11$ bucks for chicken tenders that clearly were from out of a frozen bag! No joke, they weren't even better than fast food places. They have raised priced, and food has gone down! read more

The pretzel and beer cheese is normally my favorite. Tonight the cheese was extra salty. I have to say the hoppy hour drink specials are the cheapest in town. The highlight of the meal was the service-Dalton was the best read more

It's been well over a year since I've been in here and I see you still have an improper, and improperly posted 30.07 sign. Since the DM decided to not meet with me last year and just blew it off, I've already contacted the Texas Attorney General. I can assure you, you will get the proper signage, post it properly, or it will be removed. You can do it yourself, or you can be forced. The ball is in your court. I will not lay down on this issue. Your company's attitude does not trump my rights. read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - Posted inside main entrance, in the corner. There used to be doors, but now they're gone. Probably because of me. - Sports Bars Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

First of all this location needs a MAKEOVER! The wallpaper is outdated & peeling, carpet is gross & the furniture is old. The food is meh - not as good as Chili's. The only thing I really do like is the white queso dip with chips. I ordered a steak and it was tough and tasteless. It came sizzling on a mini-skillet with the mashed potatoes. The bottom of the mashed potatoes hardened and I couldn't eat about half of them. Who puts mashed potatoes on a skillet - ever - for any reason at all??? The entree was just steak & potatoes - no vegetable or bread/rolls. I was very disappointed. My husband had the fish and chips and he said it was pretty good. I've given them a chance about once a year - just to see if anything improves. It doesn't. The only reason we went this last time was because they were open on Thanksgiving. Sorry Applebee's - you've run out of chances with me. Your restaurant needs an overhaul. read more

The hostess I had, I believe her name was Sydnie was very sweet and made my experience very homey, she talked to my family the whole way back to my table overall she made it a very good visit! read more

Excellent service. Thanks Michelle. So nice and sweet. She was so helpful with all the selections. My burban chicken and shrimp and loaded mash potatoes were amazing! Sprinkle some lemon, even more yummy! ! And even my son loved his mac n cheese and chicken. Mozzarella sticks were yummy. It was brought to us by a sweet beautiful Indian chic. Absolutely gorgeous smile. Thanks. Great service....only complaint someone just came by and grabbed my stuff off the table without asking if I was done. Just reaching over....come on seriously. My biggest pet peev. I think that was really rude. I told her i wasnt done and then she apologized. Thanks. read more

Oscar is amazing per usual. Unfortunately found a hair in my food but great wait staff

This place has always been hit and miss as far as service is concerned. But lately more miss. Went in 10/15 around 7pm and was told they didn't have enough servers. It was slow so tried anyway. The servers they had were terrible. Several people walked out. Our orders final came but we're wrong. Not even an apology from the manager. Called in curbside service on 10/28. Arrived and waited for someone to come out. After about 5 minutes I went in and was told the curbside waitress wasn't there. That fine but should have been told that when I ordered, then I would have expected to go in instead of just sitting there. Then the bar tender, who only took my money, got pissy when I didn't tip her. Told her if I have to get my own order, then no tip. read more

Would've given 4 stars, but service was pretty slow considering the restaurant was pretty dead; after lunch & just not a lot of people in there. Other than the slow service, food was good & the restaurant had a good atmosphere. read more

It's the little things, my son was being a brat & through a little fit because he didn't want Mac and cheese but the burger his brother had. Guy that brought the food right away said they would be able to change it with no hesitation. Came out under 5 minutes! Thank you! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I work nightshift and used a food delivery service to order from here. Every single item we ordered was DISGUSTING and thrown together. The soup was filled to 1/3 of the cup and was certainly not "loaded" potato. It was completely liquid. The pretzels tasted like they sat under the warmer far too long and burnt. The queso dip was SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than what's ordered in the restaurant. DO NOT USE their TO GO. When I called to speak with the manager, she could've cared less. You've now lost multiple customers. Way to go read more

Food was great had grilled salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes everything was great mash taters were the bomb I suggest getting those for sure beer was cold awesome experience. Manager came by our table and was very nice guy read more

If I could do no stars I would. Waited 20 minutes AFTER we put in our drink orders BEFORE last call and no service, it was actually nonexistent. Kimberly was a terrible server and did not help us at all when we had questions about our tab. The orders were jumbled up and it took 2 times to get it fixed. Never going back to this one. GO TO FORNEY!!! read more

Service was horrible. Waitress was more concerned about everything else except serving people. After a long time waiting the people we were with steak was way overdone. Manager did take it off the check. Our ribs were burnt and had to send them back. Waited another very long time. We have been to this location at 1 am in the morning and got better service and food. This was on Sunday night during dinner time. Will not be back for a long time. read more

Applebee's is a great place for a casual meal. The menu is varied and changes every three months or so. The one we go to on Texas has $1 beer and $2 margaritas all day every day. read more

My husband enjoyed a complimentary dinner last night for Veterans Day. Much appreciated for his service!

What in the world has happened to this place? We only ended up here because everything else was packed on Mother's Day. The restaurant was pretty much dead when we arrived but got more crowded as we waited for our food and ate. Our server was nice and was great at refilling our drinks. This is a huge plus for me. Our food did take quite a while to come out and saw others who walked in after us getting served first. My husband had a steak, with loaded baked potato, I also had a steak with Parmesan shrimp on top and loaded baked potato. My oldest had chicken Parmesan, my middle son had a hamburger off the kids menu and my youngest had chicken tenders. My steak was not cooked properly but I didn't dare send it back. Some of the shrimp on top of my steak was encased in Parmesan cheese which hadn't melted. My sons chicken Parmesan was huge and he said it was really good. No other complaints from hubby or my kids. When we got our check, I was shocked to see it was $75. I know we got two steaks but that is nuts for Applebee's food. We did not have an appetizer either! Needless to say, we will not be going there again because that is way too much money for just ok food. read more

I usually love Applebee's and the service is great. This was the first time to the one in Rockwall. Idk if there wasn't enough workers...but we sat down and waited 10 min for someone to come help us. And then waited another 20 min. No water. Nothing. The workers were moving so SLOW and not caring that other people were waiting. People had to ask for their waitress multiple times. We ended up just walking out because we didn't even get our water we asked for. read more

Good, reasonable food. Open until 1 am. Had a late dinner with the family and our server Gwen is excellent!

If you go late night , you're better off going to a McDonald's or something else . Waiter was ready to go at 12 already had the bar closed out so no drinks , ordered a steak , medium , came back medium well , no drinks where refilled until I was done and before anything came with my tab , OH NO I DIDNT WANT NOTHING ELSE . . Ever again lol read more

Generally love the food and service is good. However, they keep changing the deals and almost didn't take our $5 off $25 coupon since we ordered discount menu items (late night happy hour). It would be nice if they posted the deals instead of our coming in for what used to be half off and then have it be full price. Some times the Cesar salads are extremely small and some times they're a decent size, all depends on the current chef and manager. Of course we'll go back for the food and deals at some point, but we'll make sure we know what they are before we order. read more

I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but Applebee's is one of the few I really do like. Their two for $20/25 dinners are a great bargain. My friend and I both had the Bourbon steak which was tender and tasty. It came with a side salad, roasted potatoes and mushrooms. All of it was great! My friend is not a salad eater and none of the appetizers interested her so the server offered to box up her salad for me to take home. Our server was the best! Very attentive, helpful with suggestions and going out of his way to be helpful. I was really thirsty and after my second root beer in their smallish glasses he said the to go cup was much bigger would I like one of those? I rarely drink soda of any kind but root beer is my favorite. Our waiter was kind enough to double check and make sure it was not Barq's root beer which is the one root beer with caffeine. He told me the name and that it said right on the label caffeine free! He definitely earned his tip. read more

Unfortunately had to ask for a waiter after waiting 15 minutes as multiple waiters passed us. Service is super slow

The food was fine - order was correct and came out hot. However the staff was sub-par. Our waitress was nice enough, but once she took our order we weren't offered refills and she didn't stop by the table except once we were done eating. Perhaps she was too busy? The manager came by and asked how everything was and when I commented that the waitress was not paying much attention she gave me a weird/mean look and all she said was "oh....okay...." And then walked off. If it weren't for the manager I would have given 3 stars. But the manager's unprofessional attitude makes me not want to eat here again. Not to mention everyone on staff just seemed unhappy and uninterested in being friendly. read more

I feel like all of the employees were having the worst day of their lives. The hostess should've checked her attitude before she walked in. Our server had attitude with us as well. If they don't want to work there, I'm sure there are plenty of other folks willing to work hard and take care of their guests. One of our burgers was missing the sauce on it. But, the food was overall ok. We won't be returning. read more
