New chicken sandwich with bacon and cheddar cooked perfect! Leah the bartender was very nice!

The manager valerie harassed one of my friends over her Florida license, claimed to go talk to the police over the phone about it, but she couldn't get them to come and "inspect the license". On top of that no one took our food order, and our seats had left over food from whoever was sitting there before us. read more

I'm super pissed about this place this is the second time I find something that doesn't belong is the food first time it was hair. The man manager was super nice about it and handled it very well so it wasn't that big off a deal. This time I found price tags in my spinach im guessing they where not washed. And the manager Valerie was super rude and disrespectful try to convince me that the price labels in my food was no problem and wanted me to still pay for my food. read more

Great Food as always. The workers there are always professional. Our waitress migs was very helpful, kind and thorough. we will be back !

Long black hair in my salad. Went yesterday 3/26/16. DISGUSTING!

This place has some of the nicest servers of anywhere in the area. The food is really good. I've never been a huge Applebees fan but this place is one of my faves for Riverhead restaurant choices. As a visitor in the area I have found most servers at most other places to be quite rude and inattentive. These servers and staff are friendly and make you feel welcome and that adds ratings in my book. read more

this manager is so beyond rude. assumed right off the bat my sisters and i were intoxicated when we were completely fine just trying to order food. she called the cops on us and caused a complete pointless issue. what a joke. the cops laughed also read more

Myself and a friend came here last night after a long day's shopping at the nearby outlets. We were greeted at the door by the "manager" who informed us he would have his host come back whilst at the same time berating one of his staff. Quite the multitasker he is! That really set the tone for our evening. Our waiter Vinny was excellent. A very nice, friendly fella, who literally could not have done enough for us. However, I must once again draw attention to the most serious problem here - the "manager". There is the most horrible atmosphere in this restaurant, all your staff are Petrified of your wrath, and whilst this may be wonderful to you as it seems to feed your ego to bully your staff infront of customers throughout the restaurant, it really backfires as you look like one of the most unprofessional, arrogant and down right mean people to ever grace Long Island never mind Applebee's. Shouting at staff to wipe tables, under minding and demeaning your staff does NOTHING for morale. Everyone was bloody miserable ! You're staff should be able to enjoy their work, a happy staff would create a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere. Our experience here was more like a Trip to the Chokie with Miss Trunchbull. You have a fantastic staff - start treating them with some respect and help the business flourish. You are systematically tearing this business apart with your bully boy attitude. To all the staff here having to listen to this absolute sorry excuse for a leader I salute you. read more

This place blows don't waste your money. Place has. No heat. Food is horrible Especially. The mack and cheese. Gross over cooke bonkers wings gross the mozzarella stick not cooked all the way. Ugh Sarah Q was the worst waitress ever. My fiancé and I waited 20 minutes for waters and mojitos. I can't explain how bothered I am. I got the pan seared semen scallops and they were cold and half eaten.... Never coming back to riverhead Applebee's. read more

I love applebees, but I was completely mad at this small experience I had. Food was great as usual, food came out fast, there was literally no problems but this one. I know I'm sounding a bit nit-picky, but no one should treat there customers the way this one waitress did. One of the servers came by and took some of out plates, so I asked for another lemonade. She made a disgusting face at me and sarcastically said, "ok" and turned away. Immediately this was disrespectful, but I disregarded it and continued eating. Then, once the lemonade came out from the other server, it literally tasted like piss and tap water, barely any other taste. The waitress obviously did something to the drink, it tasted disgusting. I then started to feel nautious and later vomited, also feeling dizzy. My grandfather who was with me got sick as well. The waitress was a blonde thin haired lady, that's all I remember. And judging by other reviews, she seems to keep turning up as rude and disrespectful. I still feel sick writing this, I have no idea what she did to that drink. We will be avoiding this applebees for a long long time. read more

Good food, price quality is okay. What do you else expect with 2 dishes for $ 20.. Burger was a bit dry but tastes good. Service was friendly, the manager can still learn something how to look friendly to the customers! read more

Food was excellent. Great staff. I was that person ordering right before they close and they were still as welcoming. Five stars.

Local spot for me. Used to go quite often. Knew a lot of people, working and eating/drinking. Go after 10, obviously...

Drinks OK. Appetizers OK. Atmosphere is good, but if you're eating dinner, stay away from the steaks! Our waitress (very nice) tried to warn me, but we didn't listen. Just stick with the non-entrees and you'll do fine. Drinks and snacks is what Applebees is all about. There are better chain restaurants out there. read more

( beer lover vegetarian). Came here on my one day off for local seasonal craft beer .... All out :-(. Oh well enjoyed the beer anyway. Started with the brew pub pretzels ( oh... Awesome but probably put me borderline diabetic by themselves :-)... Then went for the twisted potatoes... Awesome and great compliment to the beer ... Then had the seasonal berry salad ... Oh man that dressing is disgusting! If your sensitive to the vinegar taste don't even try it. I ordered it without it, substituting it for the jalepeno dressing ... But came out with both... Ugh so soggy..... I ended the meal with the salted caramel pretzels... Went great with the bottled shock top pumpkin ale complimented by with cinnamon and sugar coated glass... Soooo good ( oh not for the diabetic) Great friendly service and great overall experience read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. The manager threatened me and gave me a hard time. The food is cold and discussing when it's hot. I would say they probably spit in food of people they don't like because I was seriously sick right after eating there. Please do not go here read more

I went there after doing some shopping at the outlets. It was a party of 5 and we were seated immediately. We ordered it took almost an hour for the food. When it came my food was cold. I ordered a medium-well burger and fries. I told ghe server it was cold dodge took it back and then the manager came over and apologized and said they're making me a new one and it's being taken off the bill. When the second burger came it was the same burger with another piece of cheese and burnt I know this because I took a piece of the other burger off and it was the same one. I won't be going to that Applebee's again in the future. read more

Love Applebee's the best meal there is the four cheese Mac and cheese honey pepper chicken

I ate here about a year back and after I left(about an hour later) I started to vomit and for the next two days I could not eat food. This was about a year ago and still to this day I still have stomach problems. Never coming back I recommend go to a different Applebee's read more

Love the deals and hanging out here but it makes me violently I'll after. Every time. I normally get a couple apps with my friends to split and some drinks. So the first time I thought it was just bad luck or something else. Second time thought maybe it was the alcohol (even though the two people I went with weren't well the next day either). Third time, still tried the food out. Left sick once more. I'll go back for drinks but heck no will I order any food. Someone needs to seriously check that kitchen. read more

I used to like Applebee's but my recent trip to this one changed my mind. The menu was so underwhelming that I had a hard time choosing something so I had the fiesta lime chicken as usual- pretty good. The veggie burger, however almost broke my son's tooth. It was so hard flavorless and disgusting that I was pissed that I didn't notice his uneaten plate until after we'd finished. Next time, I'll hit up Friday's. Service was fine though. read more

Came here hoping for a decent meal after shopping at the outlets. On 4/3/16 I ordered a brunch burger and asked for the burger to be well done. When my food came out, I took a bite of the burger and to my disgust it was all pink inside. I called the waiter over and told him I wanted my burger well-done. He then looks at The burger with all the pink inside and says to me that's not well done? What the hell does it look like? So he took the plate to the back and brought it back out another 20 minutes later. By this time my party of three have finished eating already while I was just going to start. When I bit into the burger for the second time it still was not well done. I ate half of a burger and took the other half home. I went to the restaurant on Sunday later that night I threw up and today is Tuesday morning and I'm still having stomach pains, I'm pretty sure I got FOOD POISONING . I'm experiencing sharp upper stomach pains. The waiter needs more training, when bringing drinks to the table and other foods you don't reach over other people's plate. My waiter was a white Male with bluish eyes he may have been in his 30s. If you get him as a waiter, I would leave ASAP. Oh never come to this place again!! read more

What a mistake. I've eaten at 1 Applebees maybe 15 years ago & all I had was the spinach dip. That's hard to mess up. I avoid chain restaurants across the board but heard from some that it's better than other chains. I found myself without a car or food and needed to doordash. I actually thought I might be pleasantly surprised at my 1st experience trying any of their other food. HUge waste of $ & they couldn't have been more careless. I had the option of choosing a different dressing with my "Blackened Shrimp Caesar Salad" & since I prefer vinaigrette style Caesar to creamy, I chose the Lemon Vinaigrette. So what they sent me was a side of olive oil & a side of balsamic vinegar. Not remotely close to what I asked. If they were out of the dressing I chose I should've gotten notified, which has happened before w/ Doordash so it is a policy. They just didn't care. I would've just stuck w/ the regular Caesar but they gave me another option! So not only did they cram my meager salad with 3 different containers of liquid to make it look full I now had to provide my own dressing, which didn't go w/ the salad. I don't like oil & balsamic, especially on a Caesar salad! They ruined my meal & forced me to provide my own dressing which defeats the purpose of delivery. Salad was small & the tiny shrimp had ZERO blackened seasoning, was totally flavorless. Didn't even taste like shrimp. The lettuce was very fresh, the shrimp tasted like air. The kids quesadilla that "comes" with lettuce & tomatoes (not salsa & sour cream? Ok.) came w/ neither. Nothing but what looked like 2 pieces of tortilla w/ nothing in between. I'm not an extra cheese person but this was nothing but a tiny amount of cheddar. Wouldn't even get melty w/ reheating as there was so little cheese & there was no monterey jack (which is essential to a quesadilla as it's a softer cheese & melts). To top it off, the tiny bits of chicken were rock hard, probably old & reheated several times. I will never order from here again. Maybe it's my fault for ordering at 9pm & all they had left was the bottom of the barrel but the order screamed laziness & lack of care. Speaks volumes about the establishment. If you don't have the sense to contact a customer to tell them you don't have something and just slop something together thinking it's ok, then you don't care about what you're doing. And I have no time to waste my $ on that. This is why I don't patronize restaurant chains. They're not any cheaper than the real food joints + there are countless great independent food establishments out here. read more

Riverhead applebees was the worst experience my family and I have ever had at a restaurant! My son had a 6 inch long hair in his buffalo wings and my "grilled shrimp" skewer was cooked beyond the point of even looking like food anymore and I'm pretty sure they even left the shell on!!! Idk what process is that they go through before hiring the cooks, but I think a child would have more common sense than these cooks, absolutely horrible and probably very unsafe to eat here, they should be shut down PERMANENTLY!!! HORRIBLLLLEEEE, RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! Wouldn't give it the one star, but had to in order to leave the review... read more
