A few days ago some friends and I met up at this local Chili's to reminisce the old days and have a good time. Unfortunately this establishment left a sour taste in our mouths after we had an issue pertaining to the amount of drinks we were able to consume over a long period of time. We were a party of 3 starting out and ordered a couple rounds of happy hour cocktails that had a flavorful but didn't taste like they had any alcohol. A 4th member joined our group and ordered us a round of shots. We then had ordered a couple more cocktails when our 5th friend arrived. The waitress had mentioned that the manager would be cutting us off after this next round which was a tad bit confusing. Clearly we were laughing and enjoying time together but in no way were we any louder than the rest of the restaurant that was FULL. We were there for drinks and by this time the majority of us had been there for two hours. We then ordered food as we were told we would be able to order another cocktail each. That was not the case. The manager was nice but stated Applebees has a "3 drink limit" per person and we then decided we would leave. I don't blame our server but the manager for not allowing us to provide more business nor continue to have a great time. The food was alright, typical of Applebees, so I will most likely not be returning for another disappointment on mynext visit to the Tri-cities area. read more

Every single one of us was awakened in the middle of the night with gurgles in our tummies. Maybe the dip was expired? Someone didn't wash their hands? No idea. Service was AWFUL, I have never seen worse! We get in and we get welcomed by this lady by a stink eye, and then she says, "we'll be right with you" and we were just standing there for 10 minutes! During the 10 minutes, two of the waitresses come up to the front and one lady said(very loudly so we could hear), "there is TOO many people in here for us servers" and they were gossiping and talking smack about other customers! This Applebees was my mom's go to place. She always went before 4pm because she adored Zack and got great service And her food as she wanted it prepared. He always took good care of her. I give ZACK 5+ stars. I've gone at different times when Zack wasn't there and got a mixed bag of meal quality. Quality and consistency is and should always be paramount for a restaurant. That and a comfortable room temperature. I am so tired of restaurants that keep the dining room at atemperatures suitable for storing meat. I hate getting a hot meal that is icy cold within 2 minutes of hitting the table. Worse when the meal is already tepid and congealing before it comes to the table. (Hint: a plate you can't see the steam on when the room is already could should never be served.) read more

Indifferent and uncaring attitude by hostess. Went in on Sunday at 4:15 pm, about 70% empty. Hostess was Not hospitable nor welcoming, asked for a table for 2 and she said it would a 20 minute wait. I said why, I see lots of empty tables. She responded by saying that they had to stagger seating people because they didn't want to overwork their staff. Most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. I ordered to go online at this location. After, I placed my order the site read ready for pick up at 5:55 PM. I waited in the lobby 30 additional mins and asked again,how much longer? They told me 10 more min. It was super crowded so I waited in my car. I returned inside and the they told me that my food was just given to somebody else. I told them just give me a refund. As I was standing there waiting, they were unsure how to go about processing the refund and told me that they would get it taken care of and I should see the refund reflect on my card in 24 hours. This is a fantastic place to go to if you want to be certain that you will have things in your food that aren't food. They will never miss an opportunity to forget to take the cheese paper off in your burger or drop a hair on the plate before it hits your table. You can also count on the meals not being comped or anyone coming back to check on you or have management do a table "touch". If you love paying full price for foreign material burgers, then this is your place. Ordered car to go. Had to wait a very long time out front. Which was fine, I understand they were very busy. The person handling the car orders was very nice and apologized many times. My problem with this place came when we got the food home. Ds ordered the kids 2 hamburgers. I ALWAYS check to make sure the meat is fully cooked (Dh sister got very ill as a child from a not properly cooked hamburger) the meat was still pink. The outside was charred black but the inside was very pink. Luckily I check his meat. But what about those parents of little's who don't? Edited: we tried going back. Our refrigerator was broken and we live close. Nope. Once again my son's hamburger was not cooked all the way. Lots of pink/red in the middle. Not sure how they do it. Applebee's use to be a pretty good restaurant for a chain. Last weekend me and my kids had the most disappointing food. My son ordered chicken strips, the chicken strips were so tiny and nothing but breading. I ordered their new Steak Salad, the steak was so tiny that I almost couldn't find it under the pound of tortilla strips. I couldn't even taste the salad because all I could taste was the tortilla strips. Who knows if the flavor was even any good. My daughter ordered a steak, well done, it was bloody. She was not able to eat her food. The ice tea I ordered was so bitter tasting, I am sure it sat there all day. I will never again eat at Applebee's. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I keep trying to give them another chance, since they are so close to my house and there hasn't really been anything else to choose from until recently, but in several years, they have not improved in the least - in fact maybe have gotten even worse, if that's even possible. I can't tell you how many "i'm sorry, here's a free appetizer" cards I have collected... burnt food, undercooked food, food that was obviously sitting under the heat lamps for a VERY long time (based upon how long it took to get to us and how awful it was when it came). Some things were slimy and some things tasted so off that we just canned the meal and left. Service is awful - whether in the bar or in the restaurant. Actually the bar is a lot better than the restaurant for servers, but still terrible. And in all cases the food is horrible. We have, on several occasions watched servers go sit in booths with other guests right next to us as we sit and wait for empty water, soda, or even our meal to be delivered. Then when they do see fit to actually attend to us they act like we cut into their busy schedule (and to set the record straight, I'm constantly told that I am too nice and always try not to impose, especially when they are busy... which is the rare occasion at this place... so it's not that I'm expecting to be waited on hand and foot.) Basically we have now stopped going there, period. And recently other food choices have come into the area, which makes it even easier to drive on past. Applebee's of Pasco, why oh why, are you so terrible? I so want to go there, as I like Applebees everywhere else. GET A NEW MANAGER AND REPLACE YOUR HORRIBLE STAFF FROM THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE TO THE BACK. I thought it might be fun to go here with my aunt when she suggested it. I settled on the pork ribs and potato chips. She settled on the baked potato and steak. I was not expecting anything great, but the atmosphere was what we made the trip to soak up. Ultimately, it was the the only thing worth soaking up (with an exception of the mac n' jack that WAS up to the par) Her steak, although ordered almost rare, was tough to a silly point. My ribs tasted like they had been cooked twice, leaving the taste somewhere back there at the refrigeration point. The server was friendly, accessible, and cute. The bathrooms are clean, and the host opened the door for us on our way out. So I'm giving it the 2 stars I would for any place i think drinking at would be worthwhile, but whose food I look at askance. read more

I usually avoid these jack of all trades, master of none chains. Unfortunately I was dragged here on a business lunch, because... you guessed it... nobody could decide where they wanted to eat. I imagine this type of last minute desperation is how these places stay in business. Anyway, we told them we were on a business lunch and didn't have a ton of time. It still took around 30 minutes just to get the food. I ordered a lunch combo for $8 that included the Cesar Salad and the new "4-Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders" which the staff had been raving about. It came out in borderline appetizer portions, and the mac and cheese was mostly a pile of grease with a strange tanginess to it. A TV dinner would be a generous description of the taste. I went in excited to give an old place a second chance, and I left hungry and disappointed. I guess this was my once-every-three-year reminder as to why I avoid these places at all costs. read more
