Went for drink specials. They used to have BOGO all day. It changed. Drafts are 2.50 for a small and a large was 5.00. Ordered the drafts, got the bill after two large and and two small. The bill showed small at 5.00, large was 6.00 !@#? DRAFT! Here it was only Bud light, Miller Lite, not Coors like! Would have been nice to know. Really would have been nice to know when we ordered a small that for 1.00 more we could have had a large! Not thrilled with a 23.00 surprise bill and DRAFT beer of all things. For many years this Applebees has Always had bad service and rude Managers. Five years later we decided to give it a try. Nope.. our appetizers were put on our table 10 minutes after we already had our entrees. We let the Manager know that we'll box them since they're late. She stomped off, threw a tantrum, then dropped to-go containers on our table and walked away. As if it was our fault. Never again. The tables on both sides of us had issues with service and the Manager as well. The Serve however was very nice and we felt bad that she has to work there. read more

Our go to spot in Okeechobee. We have been coming here since it opened and it doesn't disappoint. We recently went this weekend and the staff was very kind, attentive, and fast. There are a lot of families and locals and the food is good. The crispy wonton tacos, spinach dip, and salad is usually what we start with. Consistency is the key here. It is not outstanding 5-Star fare, but most always decent, and one of the few lunch places you can get an adult beverage! Wait staff is excellent some of the time; other times, not so great! It is a great place for a leisurely lunch because they don't close at 2 PM! I was so happy to door dash some food and sit down and eat with my family when I get a notification that my order was reassigned. I start looking into it and shortly after I get a text from my re assigned dasher saying Applebees gave my order to the wrong person and they walked off with free food basically. All this taking up over 30 minutes. I could've ordered from somewhere else but noo, support local businesses.. I called Applebees myself and they refused to do anything about it except refund my order.. which by the way, amount takes 3-5 business days to re allocate into your account. I'm upset they don't even ask for proof of order details from the dasher.. basically a big F you to their customers but "hey random guy have some free food!" I was bout to f up them buffalo wings too man lemme tell ya. I rarely ever order from here and when I do it's always something up. One day I went to go dine-in with family and they messed up the orders along with charging the wrong cards.. it's like the employees are just trying to get through day and aren't fully attentive . Mind you, I'm there on a Saturday afternoon and the place is 1/3 full and sitting 2 booths from the cash register. In place of my credit card is a random piece of plastic that looks very much like the credit card the waitress used to charge my meal. After management hunts down the waitress and the card, I'm told it was mixed up with another customers card. Really? This place used to be a regular spot to go to among friends but lately this place has lost its appeal. I have been going here since it first opened and there has been a lot of turnover among the bar staff and wait staff lately. Gone are the friendly and knowledgeable staff. My last visit was disappointing, I ordered the whiskey burger, which fell apart on the first bite. My friend and I ordered their drink specials a "Top Shelf" Long Island and a Hurricane. I don't know if the bartender was too lazy to clean the proper barware, but the drinks were supposed to come in a schooner glass or a bowl-like glass. They were instead served in Pilsner glasses... There's a big problem with that because you get a whole lot less than what you're supposed to. There was a few other mishaps, my wife's French onion soup has strings of melted cheese in it when she asked for no cheese, the kitchen swore that there was no cheese even though it was clearly visible. Dude who was seating people was having a problem understanding the seating chart I guess, because he kept looking at chart and counting people. In the 5 or so minutes we waited he never did seat anyone. His job was to seat people, you know people are going to walk in the door. BE PREPARED! ain't that hard to do, especially when not busy. We left and went to Cowboys and had a good meal. We waited a month or so, went back, was immediately seated, and thought this is cool they got it together finally! We would probably still be seated, had we not finally just got up and left. The hostess that had just seated us 15 minutes earlier did tell us to have a nice day. Didn't even remember seating us, and could care less why we were leaving so quickly. We were never approached by anyone while we were seated, about drinks, food order, or anything. Wow! I had just about given up on Applebee's but wanted to go for a quick dinner close to home and gave it another shot. To my unexpected surprise they had brought back their grilled bourbon street steak with mushroom special, so I had the steak and wife had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp with mushrooms special, 2 entrees for $30.00 which included 2 sides and an appetizer (had artichoke dip with chips). Very satisfying experience we will be back! Passed the table by three times when we asked her for Menus she blew us off on the door staff saying if she didn't give you a menu we don't know your here-unless passing our Table three times doesn't count as being able to see. I have tried this place about three times on a Monday night. I'm not sure if it's just something about Monday night's, but service is pretty bad and slow and they tend to forget you're there. I went there because it's Monday Night Football NFL but they don't seem to either play the games on the main screen with volume unless you ask them to. The best place to sit is at the bar because at least there's somebody there you can constantly be asking for something since they're right there in front of you and it is impossible for them to forget you because of your location. read more
