Wanted to say how wonderful the phone call was with Jerry kitchen manager that I talked with. I made a reservation for a birthday party as I do a few times a year We have had a great experiences over the years. Wanted to say Thank You!!!! read more

We started with the Ultimate Trio, choosing the crunchy onion rings and two servings of the double crunch shrimp, along with three different sauces. Everything was excellent and full of flavor. For my entrée, I had the finger-licking double-glazed baby back ribs with honey BBQ sauce--absolutely scrumptious and cooked perfectly. We ended the meal by sharing the Sizzlin' Caramel Apple Pie, which was incredible. Layers of warm cinnamon apple pie, drizzled with caramel, topped with candied pecans and vanilla ice cream, all served in a hot skillet--what can I say... yum, yum, yum! I also enjoyed a red sangria made with Sutter Home Cabernet, peach schnapps, Ocean Spray cranberry, and fruit juices--perfectly mixed. Vince, our waiter, was very attentive and made the experience even better. I highly recommend! read more

i'm a little kid and even I like this place 10 out of 10 the food there is extremely good and I really suggest going to it yeah and the people there are really nice read more

Absolutely horrible. We ordered 2 steaks, medium rare, through Door Dash. Sides mashed potatoes, broccoli and coleslaw. Steaks were medium well, potatoes tasted like the instant mash from Idaho I had a few nights ago, minus the crunchy chunks of uncooked potato bits. Massive amount of barely cooked broccoli. The coleslaw tasted like it spoiled days ago. DO NOT order from here. What a waste of $50 plus! read more

Best Applebees location by far, food is always fresh and tasty. The staff is super nice and takes their jobs very seriously. Restaurant is always very clean and comfortable. Staff greets you at the door making it feel more than just a chain restaurant. read more

Normally, I'd give Applebee 3 stars but either the cooking improved or I'm just that tired of my own cooking as I think it's now a 4. Went for lunch on Labor Day and sat outside. They've set up a tent with 4 large tables so folks can be socially distanced. It was on a grassy patch so felt more like a nice picnic than just sitting in a parking lot. The menu is now via QR code so bring your smartphone. The staff are masked and gloved. The utensils are in prewrapped sets. The woman's bathroom inside only allowed one sink to account for social distance and you did have to wear a mask to go inside the restaurant. The clubhouse grille sandwich with fries came out just fine in terms of timing and temperature. I was pleasantly surprised that the peach iced tea wasn't too syrupy and sweet as I was prepared to have to doctor it by diluting with water. Overall not bad for covid times! read more

First time checking out this place, I know it's a chain restaurant and there isn't really much to add to it. In my opinion, I believe three important things make a place stand out a little bit more than the rest, their food quality, the service they provide and their cleanliness. During my visit I appreciated to be acknowledged, welcomed and smiled at. Server was polite and helpful. Checked more than a few times our table, that's nice. The food came out quickly, hot and it was tasty. The place was clean but I would have appreciated more attention to the restroom. All in all it was a great experience me and my family enjoyed. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch and cold beer. Food was as good as expected, but the reason for the 5star was the service. Lisa H was fantastic. She was there as soon as we sat down with menus for our drink order. Made great suggestions. Brought the food right out instead of sitting under a hot lamp. Kept the wings coming. Kept checking on our drinks and did we need anything. Absolutely wonderful service. Thank you Lisa H for a great dining experience. read more

I had trouble with the online ordering and the DoorDash delivery. I spoke with Tara when I called and they were all very amiable to remaking my food and it was delicious of course! Their service was fantastic and the manager even checked with me when I picked it up, which was an added touch. read more

Absolutely iconic. Great deals after 9pm. One of the only late night spots in Newtown

The food was amazing. and the service is great. so with all that seeing every waiter and waitress being so kind. I give this place

Food was ok nothing to rave about, if you get a alcohol drink rest assured you will get a sweet drink without the alcohol, manager ask and told them no alcohol in drink and said I know and walked away, so thanks for the customer service, no care appreciate your not caring. Mixed feelings if I be back , I would have bought 2 drinks if you took care the first time! read more

Came here for lunch today as a small group, and there was almost no one else in the entire restaurant. I guess that's a really good thing, because the food was better than I remember Applebee's food being years ago, which is the last time I've been to an Applebee's. As an appetizer, we had the spinach and artichoke dip. As a main course, I tried the "Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp" for myself and also got to take a bite of someone else's "Smokey Mozarella-Stuffed Ravioli with Grilled Chicken". For dessert, we shared the "Triple Chocolate Meltdown". I liked everything I tried today, except for the mozarella-stuffed ravioli, and only because the sauce was terrible to me. It tasted alcoholic, sweet, and tangy - just everything that a sauce for ravioli was NOT supposed to be. But rest assured, I would recommend any of the other dishes from today. With the small number of people dining at 12 noon, I would think that extra attention to detail played a role in how good the food came out. The spinach and artichoke dip was deliciously hot and gooey and extra cheesey. Excellent with the chips. Nothing to complain about. The dish was a winner! And the bourbon street chicken and shrimp went excellently with the mushrooms and onions alongside it as well as the mashed potatoes. But the best part? The buttery garlic and parmesan sauce deserves an A+ because it just tied everything together. And, like is often the case, dessert was so yummy. The triple chocolate meltdown was essentially a lava cake with some vanilla ice cream. Can't go wrong when pairing chocolate and vanilla, or hot cake and cold ice cream for dessert! That gooey chocolate inside just ran onto the plate when you cut open the tender, soft, chocolatey cake. It mixed so well with the cold, creamy vanilla ice cream. I don't usually say this about chain restaurants, but I might have to come back! read more

We did curb-side pickup at the Applebee's in Newtown Pa. we ordered Classic Cheese Burger well-done (No Pink) and a Whisky Burger well-done (No Pink). The Classic CheeseBurger was cooked to perfection. The Whisky Burger was very pink inside. Well-done not pink inside is not a special order. Did we get someone else's order of a rare medium-well burger? Was it the plan to not fully cook the Whisky Burger knowing we couldn't find out until we go home? We're disappointed at the lack of proper food preparation & quality control at the Newtown location. read more

It was okay. Our waitress was great. Service here is always charismatic, friendly, and nice-- in my experience. The food was too salty and left me feeling ill walking back to my car, which doesn't even happen to me after eating Taco Bell. I wish the food was a bit fresher. I'm giving it this high of a review because of the service and that it's a chain restaurant so, what can you expect? I enjoyed the atmosphere and spending lunch with my Mom. There are better places to get the same kind of food, maybe for even a lower cost, in Newtown. read more

I'm a DoorDash driver. One recent weekday afternoon I had a pick up from this Applebees. There have maybe 6 (or more) reserved spots near the door for pick up. There was no cars parked there. The entire row was empty. I hoped out of my car and as I got close to the entrance, the manager comes out and asks if I'm picking up to which I replied "yes I am" I'm normally a cheerful and accommodating person, especially since I worked as a server for 10+ years. The manager then said, "is that your car?" I said "why yes it is" he said you have to move it down to the delivery spots (I had no clue they had delivery spots) but they were way down the aisle. There was no other car but mine. I said "are you kidding me?" He said, "I can't give you your food until you move your car" So this manager was willing to let this customers food in the heating window, drying out, so that he could prove a point. The restaurant had less than 10 customers in the entire store. I will no longer accept orders from this store nor eat there. read more

Strange atmosphere in this Applebees! Me and my girlfriends came in for lunch and immediately looked at the drink menus as one does, noticeably we had the alcohol menu in hand as the server came over to greet us. (We are all 21, some of us over 21). We got our soft drinks to settle in (sodas, water) as we still weren't ready for alcoholic beverages. As we settle on what we want the waitress comes back a second time and we show her the alcoholic drinks we wanted. Immediately she said she needed to see the ids of everyone seated at the table, whether they were drinking or not. This immediately threw me off because any establishment I've been in that serves alcoholic beverages has never asked to see every single id of every single person seated at the table. (Usually just the ones drinking!) Then proceed to say they have to scan and swipe every single one of them (insinuating they were fake or something). LOL I don't know if they got in trouble for serving alcohol to minors before or something and are now cracking down on every single young person. But, this was a bit ridiculous... I even see past reviews that someone else got denied while also having a valid id (because it did not match the book). We should have checked more thoroughly before coming here because it was like a karen situation. Maybe get an updated book??? Then after the whole alcohol situation they proceeded to take at least 35 minutes for appetizers. Swore we were being punked or something, appetizers take 15, 20 minutes tops. LOL felt like it was our punishment bc they denied our ids even tho they were all valid... read more

Applebee's is just Applebee's. There's nothing directly proprietary about their menu and their presence is barely even noted nowadays. Their food is mediocre at best and you could honestly do better buying a meal from the frozen food section at your local grocery store. With that being said, I see slight improvements in their product quality as time continues to go by. I hope they keep striving to better their company and evolve to compete with other similar restaurant chains like Friday's and Chili's. -NT read more

I love this Applebees! I come here all the time to meet my friends for a "quick" drink. The staff here is all really friendly. Last night I came in and the bartender was so much fun! They usually have some type of monthly deal. For example, last night they had a special on a vodka lemonade drink. And then they always have their reverse happy hour where you can get half price appetizers after 9. This is a perfect spot to come in for a couple of beers and an appetizer. It's never overly crowded and it's pretty inexpensive. read more

Worst food I've ever had. Went there with my boy.. he had some shrimp meal. Took one bite.. threw out the rest. I had the mushroom steak, it was the cheapest meat I've ever seen. Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were 100% microwaved. $30 + tip later.. I'll make sure I'll never go to this god awful place. Tips: Don't microwave your food. If you're gonna charge $30 it better be REAL meat. Get new cooks. read more

we have been visiting this Applebees for a couple years...always been pleased with the service and food. earlier this week we stopped for dinner-I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was not an actual chicken breast but rather a processed and formed highly processed piece of something that was not good. very disappointed-will never feel the same about this restaurant. why not use a real piece of chicken? read more

Thieves! Do NOT go to this Applebee's unless you want your credit card stolen. My elderly parents went there and found out a few days later that their credit card number was stolen and charges were being racked up for Apple equipment and other web purchases. This was the first time they used their card in months, so it was obvious that the waitress lifted their card. They called the manager and he was less than helpful. He said he would look into it and didn't offer an apology. Unless you want your credit destroyed, pay with cash at this Applebee's. Better yet, eat somewhere else....like Isaac Newton's! read more

Had taken my mother here for dinner the other Tuesday and I was pleasantly surprised! This Applebee's set the bar for other Applebee's. The staff was friendly and the food was good! The service was good at this place. The food was alright. The best part of this Applebee's was that it had an awesome atmosphere as though it was a really hip late night place to be. Likes: 1/2 price app menu after 9pm and $2 Yuengling from 9-11pm every day Open to Midnight or later every day, good option for late night eats in Newtown Friendly service Dislikes: Fried green beans were SUPER salty even without any of their sauces Wings were cooked well but doused in too much sauce; will get sauce on side next time. Other: We used the Tablet point of sale terminal to order our apps. It was pretty easy to use and convenient. However, when we pressed "order" the system told us there was an error. We of course tried again and it went through this time. Food comes out and there are 2 each of the apps. The server was apologetic and removed the duplicate from our check but FYI that if there is an issue with the tablet, just ask the server instead of trying to order again since it may have gone through! Overall, we will probably revisit, only because of the reasonably priced food/drink and convenience. Visit was what I expected for an Applebee's. read more

TGIF, right? WRONG! All I wanted tonight was to watch Beetlejuice with my family and eat some juicy boneless wings after a long, arduous week at my soul-crushing 9 to 5 at the toothpaste factory where I get verbally abused by my manager, Susan, on the regular. I get my food and check my mobile order while my kids start singing that Day-O song in anticipation. Chicken fingers? Check. Cheeseburger? Check. Oriental (future name change?) chicken salad for the missus? Check. Alas, I've reached the bottom of the bag and there's nothing else. Maybe, I tell myself, maybe they accidentally gave me mozzarella sticks or something else instead of my luscious boneless wings. But, no, nothing at all. Now, I have nothing to eat while the opening credits of Tim Burton's masterpiece roll. The wife and kids may be happy, but I'm reminded again of Susan's diatribes from 4:59PM. I'm a shell of a man and Applebee's just reminded me of that fact. What am I doing with my life? Jump in the line? No, I'm jumping off a bridge. read more
