A veritable wonderland of Central and East European fresh and packaged foodstuffs for your consuming pleasure and curiosity. Located in the far Northeast Philadelphia on Bustleton Avenue, the most diverse community in the City of Brotherly Love, NetCost Market is as much a cultural phenomenon as a supermarket. Go there for those semi exotic cuisine products unavailable almost anywhere else, and just for the foodie adventure of it all. We were there for our first visit. Walking in, we were immediately overwhelmed by the produce on display. For example, their Fuji apples were gorgeous and about .50 per pound cheaper than anywhere else. We bagged over 2 lbs for the cart. Similarly, their greens were verdant and priced to move. Next, we reached their prepared foods and deli area. Where to start?! It all looked great and set off our salivary glands. We decided to buy a sampling of delicacies, rather than a little of everything that attracted us. Polish kielbasa, potato pancakes, mushroom blintzes were wrapped up and put in the cart. The bakery sang to us next, so we grabbed two varieties of bread, light and dark. Pickled veggies? Yes! Small cukes and cherry tomatoes soured in Moldova were thrown in the cart. Swiss cheese from Poland and 2 lbs of house made chicken and veal dumplings were scooped into a plastic bag. A few Russian chocolate bars finished our food safari. Last night we enjoyed a feast of all the things we bought. Everything was delicious and even surprisingly great. Standouts included the blintzes, pickled cherry tomatoes and both breads. Not a dog in the spread. Will be eating those crisp sweet Fujis for the next week. Service was outstanding, too. Although spoken English was at a premium, all the counter people were hospitable and capable of communicating with us with a smile. We dealt with at least a half dozen ladies in aprons, and each approached us with warmth and interest. Any small misunderstandings were easily corrected. NetCost Market is a cornucopia of culinary delights that we will be making an integral part of our food shop circuit going forward.

As soon as I entered into the store I can see it was very busy and everyone was excited to be in there it really has a huge selection of freshly made pickles and salads and entrées and sides for you to have the most delicious insanely exquisite meal at home. One of the things I picked up was stuffed peppers big beautiful peppers stuffed with rice and meat. I called them the next day and spoke with a very friendly manager who told me how to cook it properly. The gentleman was so nice patient and kind. I had great customer service also when I was checking out. The lady in my checkout line was so friendly and cheerful and very helpful. I really enjoyed looking around and seeing all the offerings I looked around the Sweets area just to get a little something to take to work and I was overwhelmed with a huge selection of beautiful little cakes and cookies and treats. One of the things I was surprised to see were the individual slices of frozen cheesecake in the freezer section. I'm used to seeing a little individual bins of ice cream... But in this case there was little slivers like a little bar it was... A cheesecake bar and some had vanilla cheesecake, there is also a chocolate dipped cheesecake and it was about a buck and a half. I brought a bunch of these in to work and everybody was pretty excited. I would definitely like to come back to this place. And I'm really really pleased with the service that I got here. From produce to cashier check out as well as the deli area where the prepared food area is. (^^) Delicious stuffed peppers!!

A clean grocery store that you'd never guess had Russian things when you look at it from the outside. Good deals with a store card, which they'll probably scan at the front even if you don't! Many types of candies, pilmenys, dumplings, meats, cheeses, salads, and more! The entire buffet made me wish I hadn't eaten directly before. Pierogis, gelatinous salads with meat and food inside, cookies, fish, soups, everything my friends saw in Russia was here! The buffet price by the pound was reasonable and diverse. From the bakery, I got a chocolate croissant, and though it looked different than usual, it was as soft and chocolatey as I wanted. The baked pierogi was sweet, filled with potato, and definitely something I'd want to try with cheese or other meat inside. They've got the ingredients to fix up anything from Eastern Europe that you've been craving, or if you'd just like some burgers and fries, the price is right for that too. I wish it was closer!

Long drive for me but so worth it! I restock on all of my favorite things and treat myself to some caviar and cake. Their red currant smetannik cake is to die for.

Great variety of European and International food. Fresh Produce always stocked including the amazing deli counters, wonderful bread variety and delicious cakes and pastry. So glad that we found this amazing store they have two locations but this one is bigger and has a better variety of international food. We always come here for the great deli selections and of course the bread the" AMAZING BREAD variety". The produce is fresh they are always stocked you can see this since the friendly employees are constantly filling up and cleaning the aisles maintaining a clean store. You will not be disappointed if you come here I can highly recommend it. Our trip to this location is usually stocking up on deli cuts, fresh bread, salads, fresh produce, international food including their great selections of dairy and meat products.

Not friendly. Good products. But food in the fridge needs to be checked for expiration including bakery items.

They just don't sell much in the way of toiletries/paper products. But the rest is a nice selection of Organic and healthy food options.

This store is a great place to purchase Slavic foods and other specialty items, and my parents and…read moreI genuinely appreciate the variety they carry. However, I have serious concerns regarding their deli practices. Every time my dad brings home deli meats or cheeses, I am shocked and disgusted by how they are handled. Repeatedly, the staff leaves plastic on sliced deli items, leaving it up to customers to remove. This is not only unprofessional, but it's also unsafe and concerning from a health standpoint. PARKING The plaza shares parking with other businesses, and during peak hours, finding a spot can be a frustrating experience. ESTABLISHMENT The store itself is clean and well-stocked, with many hard-to-find specialty items. That said, the deli section is consistently mishandled. Leaving plastic on sliced meats and cheeses is a basic safety issue: ready-to-eat foods are required by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture to be prepared and packaged in ways that prevent contamination. By not removing the plastic, the store is putting customers at risk of ingesting foreign materials and potentially violating food safety regulations. It is concerning that management expects customers to handle this themselves. Even if the reasoning is "the customer can remove it," this is not an acceptable practice. Proper food handling and hygiene are responsibilities of the business, not the buyer. Customers should never have to risk contamination just to enjoy deli products. OVERALL While I do enjoy the specialty food offerings here, the repeated negligence in deli safety makes it impossible for me to recommend this section of the store. Management should address this immediately by enforcing proper food handling protocols and removing all packaging before selling deli items. Until then, I cannot trust the safety of these products.

This market has been a staple in the community for many years, but our family has Not been here for…read moresome time. We decided to come with friends and shop and browse around the store. Several employees were pleasant and helpful but when my husband needed to use the restroom, we were told that we were NOT welcome to use it. The market is plentiful but when it comes to being kind and decent, THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE is WHAT IS WRONG with AMERICA. WHAT DOES it COST TO BE KIND?? Nothing. I wouldn't spend my Hard EARNED PLENTIFUL MONEY HERE. EVER.
