I've always maintained that Applebee's is nothing more than a glorified diner with a better interior. While Applebee's is part of the whole TGIFridays/Bennigans (and others) as far as the similarities, I never minded going to one every so often for the hell of it - but my standards are always low each time I enter one. This location, while not the worst, justifies my low standards. When we got there, there was a large wait for the booths while there were a lot of empty tables. Tell you what, if more people prefer booths, maybe just maybe you can eliminate some tables and put the smaller booths in their place and everyone can be happy. While I also prefer a booth, I was fine with the table. No real complaints about the staff. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They prompted me to scan the barcode for the menu that was on the table and look at it through my phone, but also gave me a choice if I wanted a physical menu. The meals were about what was expected. I ordered a burger and it was fine, as were the fries. Again my expectations are real when I come into a place like this, so there was no disappointments with the quality this time. We didn't order any appetizers or desserts. They were clean inside and busy. This Applebee's shares the land with a Holiday Inn, but have their own parking lot. The area in general has a lot of shopping options. Overall Applebee's is what it is. If you frequent Applebee's, you generally know what to expect and this location is not terrible. You could do a lot worse with food choices, though at the same time you could always do better. Affordable, simple, and nicer to look at than a standard diner. read more

my favorite comfort restaurant. The food is always super delicious and the waitresses are always super amazing friendly and quick. The prices are super fair and the serving sizes are pretty big. I always get a chicken tender salad and it comes with the best tasting honey mustard dressing ever. The chicken is always super crispy. For appetizers I always get the breadsticks with Alfredo sauce which are heaven. The spinach and artichoke dip is SO good i could cry thinking about it LOL. One time I got a steak and it was perfect. We were in town for a wedding and starting at the hotel across the street with no access to a case so our options were limited. Otherwise, I don't think I have ever eaten at an Applebees, and my expectations were low...but definitely exceeded! Look, it is what it is and we just had sides, apps, and dessert, but the food was pretty good though, and the portions were crazy generous. The brownie sundae I had was great and I would enthusiastically try it again if I were driving a rental car through a small town where I didn't know what the options were and I wanted to have a dessert. The same goes for a snack at the bar and I would probably try a meal. I think we hit happy hour, but in any case it seemed like the beer seemed to be a lot for the money, and the selection was definitely acceptable. Service was good. Seemed like everyone had a chip on their shoulder and was just powering through, but that's fine, we were taking care of promptly and politely. Finally, they had a movie ticket promotion, so for spending like $50 we got two movie ticket passes, and used them for like $35 worth of tickets, so, you CAN'T beat that for value! read more

I had a combination of chicken, sausage and pasta in a great sauce. Hope they keep it. The manager came by and chatted with us and asked questions. I haven't been to Applebees for years after getting a horrible steak. However it was the directly across from the hotel I was staying at so I decided to give them another chance. The service was excellent with some really nice people taking care of our group and providing us with a nice time. But the food again was not up to par. While I enjoyed my bbq ribs, the mozzarella sticks were hard. The drinks were extremely too sweet and the mash potatoes were just okay. I'm giving them 2 stars for the service but if Applebees wants a better rating they would have to elevate the food quality. While they are a budget restaurant, we only paid 212.00 for a group of 10 people. I would gladly pay more for better food quality. To make matters worse one of the people in our party got sick we are assuming from eating a burger, started vomiting that evening and was still vomiting the next morning, ooh la la! We were 1 of 2 tables in the section, barely saw our server and when we did she made every effort to rush us. We literally just sat down, didn't even look at the menu and we were asked about apps. Poor Applebee's. I figured upon opening their food would improve but it hasn't. During this time it's hard to post a negative review because of the impact Covid has had on the economy and the people. But the food was pretty bad. Sent the salads back due to soggy cucumbers and a "balsamic vinaigrette" like was similar to molasses. I think it was thick balsamic glaze that just doesn't work on a garden salad. The dinners were decent but nothing better than I could make at home. The server was very friendly and the manager did what he could to improve our experience. The outdoor dining was pretty cool, in a parking lot. But what else can you ask for when you have a mandate and a business trying to provide for everyone. read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I understand it's Mother's Day and things are a little crazy right now but this is ridiculous! I called over an hour before my scheduled pick-up time and have now been waiting over an hour. I called inside four times to see the status. Twice I was disconnected. Finally the guy said the order is being bagged and will be ready in ten minutes. That was 45 minutes ago. I tried to cancel the order. That's when the guy said it would be ready in ten minutes. I got my order at 8:26pm!!!! Almost two hours from my pickup time, and there were people with larger orders who had been waiting longer. There were two people working to run food and answer the phone!!! Why didn't you call in more staff? To say we got hit unexpectedly is poor customer service and business planning It is Mother's Day, one of the busiest days in the restaurant industry. Really? You weren't expecting this?! We went to the bar after a wedding to just get some appetizers to go, we had the munchies! The bar tender was great and attentive to whatever we needed! Our order was also out relatively quickly but we weren't in a rush. I will say though the quality of food wasn't great. I hadn't been to apple bees in years and honestly didnt expect it to be super yummy like chili's, but the guacamole lacked taste, salt, and freshness. It was definitely packaged or preserved somehow, or it at least tasted like it. They also forgot our basket of fries so I had to go back after unpacking all of the food at the hotel near by. I was so disappointed with the service at this location. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express across from it, so we decided to go there for dinner. We ordered a couple appetizers and a soup, also placed our dinner order about 5 minutes later. The waiter named Jon B (according to the receipt) practically forgot about us, we never received our appetizers and dinner was served after waiting longer than usual. We asked why the appetizers were never brought and the waiter came to say " I don't know what happened". My husband order a beverage, that was also forgotten by the waiter. He finally came around and again acted like nothing was wrong with the horrible service we received. I do not recommend this place. They should have a manager or supervisor around to ensure that all tables are being serviced properly or something, or perhaps train the service staff better. read more

This location appears currently understaffed but the current staff are very friendly and extremely hardworking. During my stay I witnessed the manager at 6:30pm on a Saturday night decided to call most of the staff off the floor to tell them they are not fast enough. Perhaps management needs to learn their inability to keep the restaurant staffed is not an excuse to berate the staff that are already overworked. Way to go to motivate the current staff. They are always very good with customer service at the point of entry, but... the entire place has a wonderful Christmas vibe.. tree, stocking hanging in the bar, great job Applebee's! Very comforting and really gets you in the spirit of good will to ALL! Our server was Holly, very nice friendly and informative. She recommended "oriental chicken salad" which was great! My date selected "three cheese penni" which came out hot and tasty! Plenty to take home from both for a later meal. I don't favor chains but this Applebbees has always been at the top.
