Visited on a Friday night on a busy evening around 6pm. We were lucky in timing as there was no wait when we walked in and we were seated quickly. This is the only sit down chain restaurant near the La Quinta inn. Appears to be the best dinner option within a mile or two of the area. Our server was very friendly and brought our drinks and appetizer in a timely manner. Due to staffing issues, we waited much longer for entrées. Management was walking around, apologizing to each table. We understood and we're just happy to have the acknowledgment. Finally our food arrived and everything was tasty and just what you'd expect an Applebee's to serve. My daughter had a steak dinner. My other daughter had macaroni and cheese. And I had a Chinese chicken salad. I really enjoyed my salad and my daughter with the steak was happy too. The mac & cheese was the only poor option. For $70 it was a decent meal. People often times trash Applebee's, but I never understood why: it's a chain restaurant that doesn't pretend to serve fine dining. Our server was excellent and incredibly friendly. They had their dollaritas special going on and she was very good about checking up on us and asking if we wanted more. As is typical of applebee's, the serving sizes are huge. We were traveling here from out of town, and decided to eat here as it was close to our hotel and we had not had Applebee's in a long time as it's not close to us in Seattle, WA. This Applebee's is very delicious. We were very impressed with this Applebee's compared to other locations we had been to. It was a nice atmosphere, a mix of families and college students from U of I nearby. The service of the staff was overall great and they were kind and efficient. The only reason for the four stars was the Quesadilla appetizer did not come exactly as described and was not that hot when it came out. The server checked on us frequently, but she overall did not seem happy. I had the Chicken Tenders with the four cheese macaroni and it was delicious. I have had it many times before and this Applebee's served it best! My best friend had the Chicken Caesar Salad and she enjoyed it as well and it was fresh. I had the Blondie for dessert and it is so good! The Blondie is always great and I highly recommend it as a dessert to try! I used to eat at a range of Applebee's all the time back in the midwest, but the 4 years I've been in the area here I have never eaten at this location and have gotten my groups order 100% correct. I've eaten in-restaurant and to-go from this location about 8 times over 4 years and my issues range from getting an ice cold burger delivered to my table to forgetting side dishes on to go orders. Attention to tourists and travelers, if you are ever in Moscow and are in desperate need of food, fear not! Applebee's is here to save the day!!! In Moscow, there aren't that many choices when it comes down to food. However, you certainly can't go wrong with Applebee's. I have gone to many Applebee's in SoCal and here, the service is definitely better and more prompt. I think this is partly due to the fact that there is no one is Moscow and therefore, less customers at Applebee's, allowing the servers to be more attentive. In terms of the food, it's just standard American cuisine. I had the honey BBQ boneless wings as appetizers. Unfortunately, they went too strong on the sauce and the BBQ was simply too overwhelming. For entree, I ordered the 8oz sirloin steak with honey pecan sweet mashed potato and garlic green beans. I asked for the steak to be medium rare and it was cooked perfect to order (see picture). The fact that it was also next to the pecan sweet mashed potato also gave the steak a gentle, sweet, smoky flavor, which was an excellent addition to the overall aroma of the steak. The sides however, were disappointing. The sweet mashed potato was wayyyy too sweet. At one point, I felt like I was drinking drops of honey. I think I should have had it along with the steak, but I ate it separately. The green beans did not taste garlicky. It was pretty bland overall. Tastes pretty much like boiled green beans in water. I would give the food 3 stars. However due to the attentive service and the fact that they actually have Applebee's at Moscow, I would give this place an overall rating of 4 stars. This is my first real experience where a server ruined the meal. I get when food is slow or if the kitchen is backed up but Jodi our server was the reason I didn't enjoy my experience. It started off with me trying to order the bottomless wings with a certain sauce. I had to repeat myself three times before she was able to get it correct. My friend ordered a drink from the bar and was excited to see his drink and commented "oh here is our drinks" to which Jodi responds "that's not my job, the bar makes them." Just another misunderstanding with a snarky response. Once I had finished my first round of wings I had asked to start my next round. Jodi had told me I wasn't allowed to because when I had pointed to the sauces in the menu at the beginning but they were only listed under the entrée. I had told her that is not true but she told me I was wrong and would fix my mistake. After finally getting my wings and not tipping, she commented "happy karma" as we walked out the door. We were not causing any problems and we were trying to be nice as it seemed she was a little slow but as soon as she made rude comments to us as we were leaving the restaurant I had to write a review. Straight up, this Applebee's has the nicest employees of any I've ever been in. Long story short, I was left homeless in Pullman with few friends to count on last Fall. I came here to drown my sorrows in a beer and some food. Now, I don't really care for Applebee's food, but I knew their bar had some decent drinks, so I stopped on in. The bartender was sweet as pie as she chatted me up and I told her my sob story. The restaurant manager overheard our chatter, and noticed me watching intently the college football came on the TV, and came over and sat next to me. He talked football with me for a good while and made me feel a little at ease for the first time that day. It felt good to have someone at a restaurant reach out to poor little homeless, so far from home, me. I had a few beers, and the bartender and the manager wished me luck on the rest of my evening. I'll be over in the Palouse this weekend, maybe I'll have to make a stop by to say hello to the friendliest Applebee's employees I've ever encountered! And the beer was great too ;) read more

We like going here, we like the servers & the bartenders, we like the atmoshere. When we get the right order, the food is very good. (favorites Crispy shrimp & fries, various hamburgers and their steak meals) Two problems...one of the servers in particular does not wear her mask properly, her nose is constantly hanging out, she occasionally pulls it up, but it drops back down and stays that way....we do not like her to wait on us! This is totally disrespectful to customers who are keeping the place in business...why subject them to your germs? Secondly, They don't write down the order, they try to memorize it...We HATE that! Its stupid & more times than not, they get the order wrong in some way or another. If I say I don't want pickles on my bacon cheese burger, it will come with pickles and no bacon. If I order a medium well steak, ir will come as well done as possible...so many small mistakes just makes things frustrating and you always feel like you are complaining (often we give up and let it go.) It's just not good common sense or good customer service to NOT write down an order (unless you can manage to get it right...and they generally can't) read more

This is not my first visit here, but I can honestly say it was the worst visit. First we waited over 10 minutes when there was an open booth for 2 people sitting vacant the whole time (we were the only party of 2 in the waiting area). Then we ended up seated next to an Applebee's employee who not only got fast service, but had the whole wait staff stop by at least 2 times. Maybe he was a big deal or something.... My daughter ordered strawberry lemonade and what ever they brought her looked like country time lemonade with no strawberries whatsoever. It was nasty and way too sweet. My Long Island iced tea was the usual - mostly ice and not much drink. Our food was the usual fare and not really any complaints there, but I do have to say the experience overall was not as pleasant as our last visit. I normally am not a huge fan of Applebee's. It's always just been fine, generic food that hasn't excited me too much. But this Applebee's? I actually crave going here. For one, the atmosphere is better than any I've been to before. The servers have always been super nice and helpful, they'll actually have a conversation with you and take the time to joke around a bit. The food has been really good here. And if you go after 9pm, all appetizers are half off! The chicken wonton tacos are delicious, just don't think you're going to take them home to eat the next day, they get soggy. The spinach artichoke dip is so yummy, also. The onion rings look SO good, I'm going to have to try them. My friends that I often go with always get the mozzarella sticks and say they are really tasty. Portion sizes here are also pretty decent! My only food complaint? They don't make malted milkshakes! Fail. Their regular milkshakes are good though anyway. I went there on a Friday night once and they had karaoke. It was definitely very lively and there were lots of interesting people there, but listening to bad singers gets a tad annoying after awhile. read more

I eat here quite often, and it is one of my friends favorite places to eat. However their new policy for Vetrans day has me disappointed, and I will prob never go back. The restaurant is always very crowded on Vetrans Day so I have gotten my meal to go a number of times in the past. However the new policy to not allow Vetrans meals to go is in place. My friend has a condition and can not go out to eat often. I tried to order my meal to go and said I needed two other meals, but was told I was not allowed to order the Vetran meal to go. I tried to explain the situation, but was told it was the managers policy. My option was to sit and eat there and make my friend wait over 2 hours to get their meals by the time I ate and drove home. I went to eat somewhere else. Not impressed with the customer service, or the policy. May not return. read more

Limeade was way too sweet. Celery looked like they were trying to cut costs by using every last bit in the bit in the bunch and we got stuck with the trimmings. Server brought me the wrong beer first time around. Appetizers selection is pretty good. The guest I was with received a piece of undercooked chicken (they got a new supply and for those of you that don't know, corporate restaurants time and control how long they have to be in & etc.). Our server, Salvador, did not only offer to remake the dish, he offered to get an additional one to go which we declined - don't be greedy! I'll start with the positive: this Applebees has a very friendly staff and great environment compared to other Applebees. I also found the appetizers to be decent. I keep making the mistake of ordering burgers at this place. Numerous times I have tried their burgers and each time couldn't get them down. They are SO dry and overcooked but I am always deceived by the photo on the menu of yummy juicy burgers. I have also had their babyback ribs and they have little meat and as well dry, overcooked. I came here during Happy Hour 9pm-12am (something like that) because that's when appetizers (and some drinks) are 50% off. I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip that cost only $4. It was quite tasty too. The boneless wings weren't anything special and the onion rings were crisp on the outside (but not in the inside). But that's standard for most chain restaurants so I'm not too surprised. However, the waitress was friendly and attentive which is not always a given. Oh! And the burger I ordered did have a generous amount of bacon in it which was also awesome. Overall, I'd say it's a great place to go to if you're craving affordable, decent-tasting food late at night. There's also the 2 for $20 deal where you can pick an appetizer and two entrees.
