We use to go there for years but in the last 5 it has gone down the tube! The food is improperly cooked & served. I ordered boneless buffalo wings and they arrive as if someone dumped the entire bottle of sauce on them, the pickle fries were so greasy I couldn't enjoy them. My husband ordered Parmasian Chicken fettuccini and it came out looking like a microwave meal and like someone poured ketchup on the chicken it was so gross looking and tasting and my husband will eat anything but not that! He was able to force down the over cooked noodles but with much regret. My son got a crispy chicken bacon sandwich and it was dripping so much grease he used a stack of napkins and couldn't finish it. Riblets tasted like a SHITTY version mcrib. They were cold, had minimum BBQ sauce on them. Not edible; nothing like advertised. (Have had them before & they were delicious) Fries were cold & soggy. Steak was well done, I ordered medium. The steak had a blob of Parmesan on it, instead of spread out all over steak w/ shrimp. Shrimp were cold too. All containers were crushed in some way, shape, or form. At least my 5yr old liked the burger, but not the fries. Spent $90.00 VERY DISSATISFIED in all ways. read more

Don't bother ordering Carside To Go. We checked in with the app, we got a message that said our order would be out shortly. We sat outside for 15 mins, no one came. Called the restaurant, they asked if we had called to notify we were here. We said no, we checked in with the app. They said they don't get messages from the app and they don't have a car side, so we still had to go inside to get food. Waste of time. In the past has been a good place to go, today not so much. Super slow and there were only 4 other tables with customers in the entire place. Drinks were there about the same time as the food which was luke warm. Waiter took 15 minutes to bring over condiments. Waitstaff all standing behind bar talking when there were uncleared tables and we were trying to get their attention. And the server took his tip off the table before the check. read more

Great service and great atmosphere for a casual dinner. It was an overall nice pit stop for a road-trip if you are passing by since it is right on the highway. Check out their deals! If you're not the driver of your group, best hope their one dollar long island ice tea deal is going on (because where else can you get an alcoholic drink for a dollar). my friends and I came in tonight expecting respectful service and good food. We came in an hour before close which, as a server- I can understand the frustration but you're night could end well with a good tip if you gave good service. We were greeted kindly by the host and got sat right away. Our food took a while but we were patient with our server. Mind you, we were the only table our server had and there were only a few other tables in the entire restaurant. After we got our food, I had to ask two people for silverware- I was ignored by the first person I asked and a lady happily told us she'd bring us silverware right away. Our server never checked in on our table to refill waters or check if the food was correct. I had to bring my water glass up to the bar for a refill. Zain B was very hostile towards us and my friends and I knew him and the other staff wanted us to leave. He spoke to us in a very condescending way and was not kind at all. By the time we finished our food, it was close time and by then we could tell our server was irritated. We waited for the checks and normally I tip well over 20% but, for the service we received, I felt he deserved nothing. Another note, when he gave us the pens to sign the merchant copy, he continued to toss them on the table aggressively. I still tipped 15% because I am a server myself and try to be understanding, since I know how it feels after a long shift. I didn't expect a lot but the bare minimum would have been nice. read more

I ordered food to be delivered. Seemed to take forever. I got an update saying food was delivered 10 minutes ago yet nothing at my door. Little did I know that Applebee's uses doordash for their deliveries. I found my food was delivered to the wrong address. Food ruined. I complained to Applebee's but never got a response. I have had great service and food at the Eau Claire location. I will never patronize the Menomonie location. It's sad because it's so close to where I live...only a mile away. read more

The service is consistently slow, portions are different every time, and food greasy and usually overdone. Try something new. Go to Log Jam or Lucette's! We have been coming to Applebee's for many many years as it's our favorite place to go for date night and I honestly can't think of any time I ever had to complain about it but, tonight was very disappointing and disgusting. The disappointment was that my 6oz steak was full of grizzle and fat I only got 2 bites out of it normally they are on point and amazingly tender but not tonight. The disgusting part was when I witnessed one of the waitresses put whip cream on two ice cream deserts, lick her fingers clean, wipe them on her pants and then proceed to push down the two cherries on top! She knew she was in the wrong as she was looking to make sure nobody saw. The other thing I want to mention was this same waitress caused a large group of people to walk out after her group of people got up and moved to a different larger table when the table they took was where the host was taking this larger group. They got upset and walked out. With cold & flu season upon us and all the many other reasons this girls actions are unacceptable! We wre traveling from Chicago looking for a place to have a late lunch and drink and looked on the Yelp map for a place in the area and didn't see the Applebee's listed on the map area, nor was there a sign off the list on the ramp exit signs and almost missed it. It may have been because of no reviews, so here it is. We like Applebee's when traveling, the food is always good and we know what to expect, which is important when in an unfamiliar area.
