Sometimes the bar area can get really busy and wait times for assistance are a little long, but the bartenders have always been friendly and do their best to keep everyone's drinks full. The cocktails aren't the best you'll ever have, but they're tasty and priced fairly. Ambiance is always loud and busy, but I've never had an issue with unfriendly people and there's plenty of parking. I like coming for a pre dinner drink and going over to Top Pot for Korean bbq. My fiancé and I enjoy visiting Applebee's every now and then, and our recent lunch visit was mostly enjoyable. We started with the new Ultimate Trio appetizer, which offered a nice variety and solid flavors--definitely a great shareable option. I ordered the Perfect Watermelon Margarita, which was surprisingly strong and well-balanced. I actually prefer it over the Drink Buckets and Mucho Cocktails, which tend to be more diluted and heavy on the mixers, or made with low-proof spirits. The margarita felt like a better value and had more of a kick. For the main course, we had a Classic Bacon Cheeseburger that, unfortunately, came out soggy and a bit too greasy for my liking. Not terrible, but definitely not the best version I've had there. There was also a noticeable spill near the bar that wasn't cleaned up during our visit. It wasn't a major issue, but it did make the area look a little neglected. Overall, the service was friendly and the atmosphere casual and welcoming. With a few small improvements, this could've easily been a 5-star visit--but we'll definitely be back! I met up with my friend and her son for happy hour. What a lovely surprise after years where I had not gone. The service was prompt and with a smile. The decor specific to Atlantic County and local attractions. Truly wonderful to see those highlights of our surrounding community. I ordered the boneless wings with the honey mustard. A good sized portion. A bit more breading or crunchy coating than I like, but I am sure if you are a fan of the crunch you will not be disappointed. I rarely go out because I must monitor my salt intake. Even so, I enjoyed the sauce. The highlight was the chicken wonton tacos. That would be my go to from now on. Came in a little after 1pm and had a very short wait. Maybe 7-10 minutes. We requested a table. If we were okay with a booth we would have been seating right away. Host was super friendly and greeted us with a smile! Once at the table waitress was super friendly and took our drink orders and asked if we had any questions before we ordered. Between all of us we got an order of mozzarella sticks, a quesadilla burger with onion rings and steak with shrimp, mashed potatoes and broccoli! Mozzarella sticks had good pull and seasoned well. Dipping sauce little salty. So might be out of a can and not made in house. Quesadilla burger wow didn't disappoint! Messy but wow wow! Packed with flavor! Great substitute if you don't want a lot of bread with a bun. Onion rings were super crunchy! Onions were cooked inside! Steak was tender, shrimp was cooked well. I went here on a Sunday night with my girlfriend. We both haven't been to an Applebee's in awhile, but after our experience, we were both very pleased. At first, there was about a 15 minute wait to be seated, which wasn't bad at all. When we got seated, I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad. It usually comes with crispy chicken, but I elected to replace it with grilled chicken instead, which there was no up charge of. The salad was really good and I highly recommend it! Inside Applebees I first noticed that it smelled like an old movie theater I had worked in, and not in a good way. Amber was friendly, attentive but not bothersome, and very helpful. It was a pleasure to be served by her. If only the food was as nice. The whisky bacon burger sounded awesome. Bacon, bbq sauce, onions, pickles, tomatoes, cheese! The bacon and the cheese were delicious, but the burger was bland and extra greasy. The sauce actually tasted more like tariaki sauce to me. I was disappointed. The fries were fine, as expected. I have to admit that the meal didn't sit well. Too greasy and I have a horrible diet, so that surprised me. read more

Overall, my experience has been a good one with this establishment. The ambience is welcoming, the FOH service was friendly, the service was exceptional and the food wasn't too shabby either. I ended up coming a few times the past couple weeks with a buddy of mine and just can't help but get those delicious boneless wings and wonton chicken tacos. Both apps tasted great and are seasoned well. They paired perfectly with my Blue Moon draft. Even though that just about stuffed me, I ended up getting the Blue Ribbon Brownie for dessert, which was also pretty good. I'd definitely recommend this place to families looking for a modestly priced meal, Sunday football fanatics or even happy hour connoisseurs. I was so impressed! We went for lunch and we were greeted and assisted with our mother in a wheelchair at the door by a very gracious young man. He then led us to the ramp and to our table. Our waitress was on point and attentive. Our food was slightly delayed due to a mistake and the kitchen manager and the general manager both came and apologized and made up the difference. I'll come again to watch a game and drink, places like this and TGIF though aren't exactly known for great food. But the prices are decent. Stopped into an Applebee's while on a trip. Was glad I did. New menu - lots of choices. They have something for everyone. Steak, ribs, chicken, salads, burgers and more. Lots of specials like 2 for 20 or 2 for 25. We opted for the Baby back ribs and Sirloin Steak. Salads and sides . Everything was delivered hot and delicious. They have a full bar and plenty of drink specials as well. I like that they actually post the prices of the drinks unlike many other restaurants. I also noted they have a pretty good happy hour. Ah, Applebee's - where to begin. It's a fun spot to hang out and dine with your friends. It's a nice, casual environment, and they have some decent dishes. That said, I try to avoid their meats (especially the "steak" - note the quotations) because I feel that they are of poor quality. Overall, it's not a bad place to go, but it's never my first choice. Ate here yesterday with my boyfriend for a quick lunch and was sat at table 41 with Ashely (I believe) as our server. She was phenomenal. She checked on us plenty but not too much where it was uncomfortable. She had a small conversation with us about the drink of the month and other drinks to eventually try that are good. She was very friendly and personable. With my out of state drivers license, she had to check it through a machine and apologized immensely for that which was not a big deal at all. Ahhh, the good ol' Crapple (an affectionate nickname, I assure you.) I actually prefer this location to the many other Applebees' I've patronized. I feel like it's cleaner, the food is slightly better, and the staff is friendlier. Particularly the bartenders here are super cool, especially bartender Tim!! He has cracked me up with so many jokes, and after not seeing him for over a year, he still remembered me when I came in last night! As far as cheap food and drinks go, the 'bees has a happy hour that's pretty hard to beat. 3-6pm they have $5 appetizers and discounted drinks. 9pm-close they have half price apps and $3 select Brewtus drinks (long island tea, house maragarita, and some beers.) I crave the boneless buffalo wings! Probably the best chain restaurant appetizer, at least in this area. They do Quizzo on Wednesday nights which is a really fun time. I've also had probably more fun than is reasonable here during sporting events. Like many establishments of this caliber, it is what you make of it. Don't go in expecting escargot and foie gras, and you won't be disappointed with the Bud Light and quesadillas. I may have given them 4 stars, but last night they ran out of Yuengling AND PBR by 9pm. You KNOW you're busy on Wednesday nights at 9pm for Quizzo, so how can you run out of your best tap beer and your cheapest tap beer at the same time?! Poooooor planning. Anyway, I'd never come here for an actual soup to nuts meal, but I will keep coming back for the cheap food, big drinks, and fun bartenders. Oh and also, there is an older gentleman who sits on the right side of the bar. He's there absolutely every night and I kid you not, he looks and sounds exactly like Clint Eastwood AKA Walt Kowalski from Gran Torino. GREAT MOVIE! I've been here a couple times in my life but never made a review until now. I recently went a couple times this year only because Applebees is honestly one of the cheapest and easiest places to actually have a "catch up" session with some friends. I have not come across a bad server here at this location before and so far they have all been friendly and quick with their service. Food is what you would expect, average but good enough to satisfy your hunger. There are a couple things on the menu I'd recommend and that would definitely their Wonton Tacos. I enjoy how crunchy and tangy it is and it goes awesome with a bottle of Sam Adams. It consists of 3 decent sized tacos and isn't overly messy to eat. So if you're looking for something light, I highly recommend it. Overall, this Applebees has decent food, the environment is nice and the servers are friendly. There's nothing to really complain about. I know a lot of Applebees lack in either service or food quality and this particular one has been good on both or at least during the times I've been there. Food isn't dry and cooked well so I haven't had anything bad to say. The only reason for my 1 star deduction is their bathrooms are messy and look like they haven't been maintained throughout the day which is bad for a chain restaurant. Restaurants should check up on their bathrooms every hour just like how most retail stores go and check the bathrooms for full trashcans, toilet paper on the floor and etc. I ultimately feel that the bathrooms in most establishments need to be kept clean since it's a representation of the store itself.
