I am a big fan of Applebee's and I come to this location often, I was happy to see they had replaced the round table's in the bar area with booth's they are more comfortable, I always go with my two kids and for some reason they always sit us in this area ??? So the bartender is also a waiter, very nice guy but today did not go so well. We ordered the sampler for our appetizer and did not get them for 25 minutes, everything was cold! Food came out about 3 minutes later so someone dropped the ball on the appetizers! The sampler plate was ok, kinda hard to tell since it was all cold, the rib basket was good and the fish and chips was nice and hot and tasty, kids chicken basket is always good but the Mac and cheese was terrible!! Getting our tag took forever also, not a very good experience today, but nice job on the remodel! read more

This place sucks so bad , how all your waitress useless & slow. Our waitress didn't come to check on us once or for a refill & it wasn't even busy at all. Went out to dinner tonight and everything was a miss. The food was awful and not prepared as described in the menu. The server we had never asked if we needed a drink refill and actually came back to our table to take our order after we had already ordered and then said that she forgot that she had already taken our order. After complaining that we were underwhelmed with the quality of our food she did nothing but say "Oh, I'm sorry". She did not pass the information on to the manager nor attempt any kind of solution to the problem. Then, after paying her, she was gone for 10 minutes and then when we saw her serving the people next to us, I asked if we could get change and she said "Oh, yeah. I forgot." Went there yesterday (Valentine's Day) for dinner. They were slammed, but that was to be expected. Simply reviewing the food, not the service. I ordered the 7 oz Garlic Sirloin and it came on a bed of sauteed Onions with a few boiled (bland!) potatoes and a spinach wrapped portobello mushroom (also bland). Sirloin was cooked the way I liked it, so that was pretty much the only scrumptious part (even though a tad bit too salty). I also had a Strawberry Mojito which was way too sweet, was kind of like eating strawberry jam straight out of the jar (which some people may enjoy, but I am not one of those people). Plus, it had way too much ice in the goblet. After the Mojito I tried the 'Peppermint Patty' and that hit the spot! I think I will either stick with coming here for lunch only, or not at all. No wonder why this place has mostly horrible ratings... first off the lady who sat us was so unwelcoming and rude! Didn't get her name but she was a short older red head. Asked her for a high chair since our waiter failed to bring us one and she rudely told us to wait a minute. Me and my friend ordered salads (I thought they brought those out to you before your meal wich is why I ordered it but they never showed up) so my husband told the red head very politely that we had ordered them and was wondering where they we're, our waiter had dissapeared for 10 minutes. I placed an order with Door Dash and it took an hour for them to get my order ready to get my driver who sat there for 45 min waiting. That's absolutely unacceptable when you're waiting for dinner for a family and the app says delivery in 31 minutes. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get my order on DoorDash from Applebee's...and then it arrived cold, obviously had been sitting somewhere for a while. never never again. Applebee's used to be a decent place to grab a bite to eat. For the last few years the food gotten worse and now I'm at the point I would rather go hungry than go here again. Last time the wife and I went out I ordered a burger and fries. I know kinda hard to screw up a burger... They did... burger was so dry I took a bite and out it back down. Didn't even remotely taste like an overdone burger. The fries were dark brown and solid too. The fries taste like the grease was old and left to cook way too long. My wife and daughter had the same meal. My wife's pasta was dry and the daughters looked like they dumped the entire jar of sauce in the pasta. Basic food, service was just as generic. Manager/supervisor stands around and does nothing while talks to all his staff like they are all children. My wife and I walked in for dinner a were greeted by a young man who seemed very unfriendly. We asked if we could be seated in an open booth in the corner . He just grunted and walked away from us holding two menus. We followed him where he led us to another booth. I asked him a second time if we could be seated in the unoccupied corner booth and he abruptly turned around and raised his voice saying "you said you wanted this one." I replied no I didn't I clearly asked for the corner booth . He rolled his eyes and walked towards the corner booth. We immediately walked out and left . Had this location via Door Dash last night, I'm not gonna blame the dasher for anything, cause seeing the reviews, I see others with the same complaints. Ordered food before 10 pm, food didn't arrive until 11:30! That's a long wait for a burger and a buffalo chicken sandwich. I saw that my door dasher was waiting at the location for at least a half hour so it's not her fault. Food was cold, soggy and slapped together. I don't usually review, but it was pretty disappointing for the price. I knew I should've gone to In-N-Out instead, would've been much better and a lot cheaper! read more

My fiancé and I have been coming to this location for about 3 years and it is NOT what it used to be . It used to be a biweekly thing, and we had our usual server (Brooke) and she was always absolutely amazing . She told us she was leaving and we were really upset, but we continued to come here . Our visits weren't as frequent anymore because service got worse . Tonight, my daughter requested for Applebee's since we were in the area so we thought why not, it's been awhile . We got here a little before 8:30 . There wasn't too many tables while we were waiting for someone to seat us so I thought it might be a good night for us and boy was I wrong . A couple minutes after being seated, our server(she never even told us her name now that I think about it) came by for drinks, I honestly dislike lemon in my water so I always ask for no lemon but oof course get a whole big wedge in my cup . We had used the little kiosk to order an appetizer to get our food going since our little one was hungry (smart move) . We put in our order . 2 for $27 and a kids meal . Our appetizer that we ordered through the kiosk came out, no plates, no utensils, even after asking . Took her about 10 more minutes to realize we needed something as she was just sitting on a bench . Finally started on the appetizer and finished that up then 7 minutes later our second appetizer (the one that comes with our meal) came out . Finished that . Our water was empty and our server wasn't anywhere in sight . My daughter was getting tired (it's now about 9:11, yes I checked the time) . Told my fiancé if the food didn't come out within the next 5 minutes, we'll have them pack it Togo . 5 minutes later, still no meals, he went to go talk to a gentleman who I believe was the manager and had them pack it up . About 7 minutes later, we got our food, packed and ready to take home . Manager came and asked us if we wanted to take some some complimentary drinks home since we'll be eating our food at home instead of in their restaurant like we had planned on . No thanks, you can't bribe us with a $1 strawberry lemonade for our terrible experience . He then said "I did put in some appetizer coupons for your next visit IF you plan on coming back ." (Yes he said "if" knowing damn well we were over it .) Came home and started unpacking our food and found the coupons he left us ... HA, my next visit for our free appetizer should have been last week cause they were expired-picture attached . I'm writing this as I'm eating my cold dinner because it was probably sitting there on a plate before we even asked them to box it Togo for us . Being in the food industry, I understand that sometimes you're understaffed and have longer wait times for service, food, etc, but honestly you could at least let your customers know upon being seated that it would be a longer wait time than usual . I would've been a little more understanding of it but nope . Server was barely even attentive or accommodating to us . My Applebee's experience was horrible! Excuse my language, but they need to change the name to Crapplebee's. The service was inattentive and the food was nasty! Who doesn't know how to salt french fries! Oh my goodness gracious, it was AWFUL! The water tasted unfiltered and like it was taken from the sink in the back. My diet coke was uncarbonated, had to ask twice for it to be fixed before I gave up on it. There were screaming children and I don't like that. My kids wouldn't act like that. We have been getting bad service at another location and comparing these two Applebee's location I don't know which is worst. Our server was or probably the worst server we had at Applebee's. He did get our drink till the end he said he forgot same as the water refill. We ask to have our water refill and he kept on helping other customers instead. Another sever refilled our water. As for our food, it was cold and I got full really quick. I usually don't. I just had couple onion rings and boneless wings and had it to go. I don't know what's going on with Applebee's restaurant but there is a trend going on. So far, 2 locations different cities bad service. No more Applebee's, I'm done with that place. Came here on a Tuesday. Was looking for something a little healthier options than Lodi Beer Company but had not been here in a while. Had the Tex-Mex Shrimp Bowl and my girlfriend had the Bourbon Sirloin Steak. Both were excellent. Service by Kristina was great. My only critique was the cleanliness of the floor. There were napkins strewn around all over the place, which makes me think the kitchen area is also trashy. Great food Applebee's, just clean up is all we ask. read more

Being in the restaurant industry I can be pretty forgiving of things. However last nights experience here I can honestly say I can this has to be the worst service/crew I have ever encountered. While sitting at the bar and asking for a coke, and the bartender says they have Pepsi would that be ok... and i say yes; along with some sour cream and ranch, how does a bartender forget a drink and two small condiments???? After 20 min of the bartender standing there and talking to her friends about how their order had to be remade 4 times and the bartender looking over my way a few times.... still no drink or condiments. The bartender even went in the back to check on the other guests order .... still nothing. I finally asked about the drink and condiments and all I got was ranch. Even though she surprising remembered about the drink.... still no drink! After the two so called managers were taking inventory i had to ask one of the managers for the drink and finally got it. When the bill arrived I was charged twice for a soda. I informed the bartender and she acted surprised and hesitated before she grabbed $3 from under the counter and said here ya go! Now I already know the food there is not the greatest but it was where my friends wanted to go. After they closed and we were waiting for a friend to return from the restroom the radio is cranked up to obnoxious rap music and employees screaming into a microphone saying derogatory things. Now I'm all for fun and games but when you still have guests inside the restaurant you still need to show professionalism.... which they graciously proved they have none. I started to complain to the bartender regarding her lack of training but I stopped because something told me I would be wasting my energy on someone who obviously could not handle pouring a soda into a glass. Tried to have dinner at Chili's tonight. We were a party of 10, 6 kids and 4 adults. Originally we were told the wait was 20 minutes, after we waited we were told that it would be 30 minutes more. Not cool, but that isn't the worst part. While we were waiting the original 20 minutes, we saw staff arguing at least twice about whether or not to seat us. Apparently they COULD seat us, but the hostess, I guess, didn't want to seat us. We could see open tables, but the hostess refused to seat us. No apologies from Chili's, just minor annoyance that we were annoyed. We left and went to Applebee's. We explained to the hostess what happened at Chili's and they immediately seated us and provided terrific service. Plus the apps were 50% off because it was Thursday. Thank you Applebee's! read more

What a joke this place is it's ran by a blonde clown and her minons. This place deserves no star if it was possible and I'm sure I am not the only who feels the same way . I've read the reviews and thinking they must have new management! I ordered the "car side to go" on line. It indicates meal would be ready at 7:40pm. Which was 15 min after I placed the order. I really didn't think they could do it that fast. I got there about 7:35. I wasn't in a hurry nor impatient. The manager, Matthew came out about 7:50 with a huge apology!!! I was quite impressed with his sincerity. They had a shift change and the ticket hadn't been placed. Well good. I know I'm getting it hot! Also told me he would be making me a complimentary dessert. The server came out with another sincere apology, and threw in an extra side of broccoli. By the way, the food was hot and delicious! Dessert was yummy. I haven't dined in here yet but will certainly be doing so with that kind of customer service!!! read more

Zero stars if that was an option... Took 20 minutes for the bartender to pour two beers as she could not pour the beer without foam filling the whole glass! She kept sticking her fingers and hands in the glass to make the foam go down and wiped the rim with her fingers and hands Spreading all her germs where my mouth would be! Dude!! THE STEAK IS AWEEEEEEESSSSSSSOOOOOMMMEEEE! Ok I don't normally like to eat steak out, I like to grill my own steak at home because I have been frustrated with the results at restaurants, they just can't get it right! I tried Apple Bee's because I was out on a date and we did the $20 date deal-which is also good on a tight budget-they had a steak dinner on the deal. For those of you who are like, huh? $20 deal??? It is where you pick an appetizer and each person picks a meal for $20 bucks total. Well when we went we got there early like 3:40 and it was happy hour! Oh Yeah! Drinks were $3 and they came out in those big beer glasses, so like 2 drinks in one. I am a girl and I like to sip it all meal, so it was easy to do w such a huge Margarita for $3 bucks! Appetizers are $5 dollars too, so we had a lot to choose from. Anyways I got off course talking about all the deals, back to my mouth watering STEAK OF DELICIOUSNESS!!!!!!! Did I get your attention? Good! Mouth watering? Check. Check. Check! Ok so this steak comes out and it is seared perfectly, I cut into the steak and it has the perfect crust on the outside with a sweet pink middle. I bite into it and the flavors of the grill plus a serious rub of spices before cooking hits me, I say out loud, "Whoa this is good" and must give my date a tasty, since it is LIKE THE STEAK GODS KISSED THIS STEAK! My date got a salad-LOL He wished he had got a steak! Well even thought Apple Bee's is like a fancy McDonald's Corporation type of place, the one in Lodi knows how to cook steak good, plus give it to you for $10 bucks? Unheard of! Go.
