My husband and I went to Applebee's for lunch for Valentines Day yesterday.We were seated at a table where there was construction workers outside using a power drill making a bunch of noise the walls were actually shaking . We were taken to a booth which was fine. I prefer that, it is more private and you don't have to look at other patrons.There was a lot of noise off and on. It was pretty irritating. That should have been a warning of what was to come. I ordered an appetizer for me and my husband which was the Won ton tacos. We also ordered drinks. I ordered an ice tea and my husband ordered coffee. The drinks arrived fairly quickly. The appetizers arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered them.Those were very good. The waitress was okay and somewhat attentive to us. She came back a few minutes later and we decided we were ready to order. We both ordered the shrimp and paremesan sirloin steak meal. I ordered my steak medium and my husband ordered his well done. Our lunch arrived within 10 minutes. I should have questioned the small amount of time it took to cook a steak. To be honest when our food arrived it did not look very appetizing. The shrimp, steak and the mashed potatoes looked nothing like the pictures on menu. The shrimp was small, the mashed potatoes looked over whipped and off putting. My steak was no where near medium, it was over cooked. When I received the steak, I tried to cut it and I had a heck of a time. When I was done cutting it. I took a bite and the steak was so chewy and unseasoned. It was inedible. I actually spit most of it out in a napkin. It tasted awful, it was beyond repulsive. It had a lot of grizzle and barely any meat.The mashed potatoes I received were ice cold. I would have complained but I did not want someone working there retaliating by spitting in our food or something worse. In my opinion the food was awful! What really pissed me off was the fact another waitress seated a family directly behind us that had kids. The kids were obnoxious. They kept kicking the back part of the booth I was sitting in. It almost felt like it was deliberate. I thought that was very inconsiderate of her and I did not appreciated it at all. The only redeeming factor of the meal was the Won ton Tacos. Before we left my husband finished off his coffee and looked inside the mug and it was filthy. It looked like they never cleaned the mug. It was disgusting!. Today he has been feeling really sick. His stomach has been hurting since last night. I am really pissed that these inconsiderate people have the nerve to serve coffee in a filthy dirty mug. Do they have a conscience at all! I will never ever return to this establishment again! Take my advice don't eat here! They don't take pride in their cooking or anything else for that matter.Whoever the cook is sucks! Horrible experience overall. Walked in and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes I inquired how much longer it would be and was told another 15 minutes by a very snotty waitress. Asked for the manager and was seated within a few minutes. The food was horrible. Overcooked steak, cold fries, ribs had no flavor and the pasta dish was the absolute worst with over cooked pasta and greasy flavorless sauce. My dish also had onion peels in it and bagged mashed potatoes, no sauce as shown in the pictures for the bourbon street chicken. Not a single good thing to say about this experience. I went for dinner with my parents in celebration of Veterans Day for my dad we ordered our food and drinks and our appetizer since me and my mom got the 2 for $32 meal deal the buffalo wings were good we waited 45 minutes for our main meal to come by the time it came it was cold the steak was cooked like I ordered it ( medium rare ) I ordered the 8oz with fries and broccoli and was given mashed potatoes and they did eventually bring out my fries my mom's steak looked as if it was a 6oz steak instead of 8oz my dad ordered a shrimp meal with shrimp fries and coleslaw his coleslaw never came and they gave us extra drinks when we didn't get asked for any my dad ordered a raspberry ice tea and the second one was a regular one I didn't want a second Pepsi so i'm disappointed it went to waste an older couple before us about 5 minutes before had gotten seated and serviced by the time our food came that couple were already leaving. The kitchen staff and managers in kitchen area need revamped. We don't go all the time but often enough you think they would know how to cook steaks. Long story turned short on Veterans Day took my husband here to get his free meal and our daughter we were seated 5 minutes after another couple and the couple left the restaurant as we just got served our food. Waited over 40 minutes for our food and my husband's dinner was missing some food and mine and my daughter's was cold. How disrespectful to a veteran to have this happen and the server said was it me well sorta but at same time no. I told her I'll never be back to this location again very rude. There were also tables around us that sat down after us and got there food before ours and were gone before us how does that even work I'm like seriously so disrespectful to my husband and myself. On a Friday night at around 6PM one would expect to find little parking and no seating at Applebee's, however parking was OK and A's was half-full. We were a large party and were seated quickly with the manger's help. My reviews always lean in favor of the business especially since the loss of income for servers etc. over the last year. The latest advertising brought me "back" but unfortunately my dinner was pathetic! I had the beef-dip sandwich with fries. The beef was tough and tasted old. The others had good dinners and no complaints. Our server Michael Rincon was a real delight; he was fast, helpful and accurate, and made our visit worthwhile. I'm visiting from San Francisco doing some work up here in Lodi and I was pleased to see an Applebee's that offered indoor seating. Our server Samantha was very sweet and took great care of us. She remembered me from a few days ago and knew that I liked my BBQ sauce sweet, not spicy. The food was late, but Samantha ensured us she had our backs and would diligently check on it. I was a regular at this place on Saturday nights. I have no idea what happened but I had the WORST dining experience of my life tonight. Okay, we get there. We order drinks and appetizers. We wait. Forty minutes passes... no appetizers no cocktails. Finally we get cocktails. The waitress then tells us that they are out of both of the appetizers we ordered. I was ready to go but my wife chose two others. Another twenty five minutes pass and then we got pretzels and cheese sauce. Sauce was freezing. Literally. They didn't even microwave it. All I wanted was the check but our waitress was no where to be found. It was like we were trapped in restaurant hell. I could hear other customers complaining. Finally, we got our tab and their tablets that you can usually at pay at were down. We had to wait another fifteen minutes to pay our bill. Another thing we noticed is one of their tv was broken a couple of weeks ago. It makes everyone look BLUE. This week another tv went down and it makes people GREEN. Two tv's broken? The last few times I have come here everything has been great. They were slammed and still only took 15-20 min to be seated. The kitchen staff killed it, I ordered the bourbon st chicken and shrimp and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection with great flavor. Worst service I've had at any restaurant, they took an hour to get my first order of boneless wings out my wife didn't receive her extra side of garlic Mayo for her Burger and they left all the plates and cups on the table for almost the entire service. Went out to dinner tonight and everything was a miss. The food was awful and not prepared as described in the menu. The server we had never asked if we needed a drink refill and actually came back to our table to take our order after we had already ordered and then said that she forgot that she had already taken our order. After complaining that we were underwhelmed with the quality of our food she did nothing but say "Oh, I'm sorry". She did not pass the information on to the manager nor attempt any kind of solution to the problem. Then, after paying her, she was gone for 10 minutes and then when we saw her serving the people next to us, I asked if we could get change and she said "Oh, yeah. I forgot."
