I am going to give this place 2 stars only because after everything we went through, they comp'ed our appetizer and drinks, otherwise this would have been a 1 star review. We went there with 8 people on 2-4-23 and I know they were busy, so I tried to be patient and understanding about the situation as a whole. We got there around 5:25 and waited over a half hour to get a table when we were told it was only going to be 15 mins. Ok, things happen, no biggie. Well, when they finally called us up, they asked if we would be ok with sitting at 2 table across from each other. Everyone was hungry so we agreed. The tables turned out to be diagonally across from each other, than should have been another clue to walk, but I ignored my gut. We sat down, ordered drinks and appetizers and we missed happy hour by 5 mins. Ok, again, no big deal, things happen. I only knew the timing of everything because of that. The drink showed up soon after, but appetizer didn't showed up at 6:45, again, I get it, BUSY night, however we started paying attention to what was going on around us and noticed a lot of people were waiting for food just like us. When the table near us got their order, all you can eat wings, there were only 4 wings on each plate. I asked them how long they waited for those and they said it had been about 45 mins. Several drinks have run dry, everyone is starting to get a little antsy as we are hungry and have been seated for over an hour now and no sign of food in site. Some more time goes by, it was now 7:30, which means we had been seated for 90 mins, all drinks had run dry, and still no sign of our food anywhere in sights. The time had finally to give up on being patient, it was time to talk. I flagged down the waiter and asked to talk to manager. The manager came over about 10 mins later, the kids at our other table saw the look on her face as she was approaching my table from behind, she was not in a good mood, I wish I would have seen this for myself, they filled me in about it after the fact. When she got to our table I said "good evening, can I inquire, what is going on tonight?" She replied "it's the last week of all you can eat and we're short staffed. I informed her that "I understand, however we have been here for over and hour and a half, drinks are dry, nobody is updating anyone with when they will get their food." She said "let me go see how much longer for your order." I replied "it's too late for that. We ordered the all you could eat as well and I know we will be waiting over 30 minutes for our next round of 4 wings or shrimp. I'd like to just pay for what I had and be on my way." She asked what all we had had so far?" I informed her our drinks and appetizers. She told me that they would cover that and that we were free to go, which is why I was willing to bump it up to a second star. I did give the waiter a tip as I was still trying to be a gracious customer and I know he had to have been having a bad night as well since I am sure he was not going to have very man happy customers. I figured that was the least I could do since everything was just comp'ed to us, I would have spent double or triple that just squaring up my bill. All in all, it may be a long time before I set foot in another Applebee's but I can honestly say that I will never go to this Applebees ever again. I would suggest other stay clear of it as well. Our server, was rarely around and made it hard for us to order refills /drinks. She also forgot our appetizer and when I asked her for it she said " oh it probably got lost somewhere, do you still want it?" ... it was 10 pm and there was no one in her section besides another table of 2, the overall restaurant was not busy either. Horrible experience overall. Walked in and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes I inquired how much longer it would be and was told another 15 minutes by a very snotty waitress. Asked for the manager and was seated within a few minutes. The food was horrible. Overcooked steak, cold fries, ribs had no flavor and the pasta dish was the absolute worst with over cooked pasta and greasy flavorless sauce. My dish also had onion peels in it and bagged mashed potatoes, no sauce as shown in the pictures for the bourbon street chicken. Not a single good thing to say about this experience. My husband and I went to Applebee's for lunch for Valentines Day yesterday.We were seated at a table where there was construction workers outside using a power drill making a bunch of noise the walls were actually shaking . We were taken to a booth which was fine. I prefer that, it is more private and you don't have to look at other patrons.There was a lot of noise off and on. It was pretty irritating. That should have been a warning of what was to come. I ordered an appetizer for me and my husband which was the Won ton tacos. We also ordered drinks. I ordered an ice tea and my husband ordered coffee. The drinks arrived fairly quickly. The appetizers arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered them.Those were very good. The waitress was okay and somewhat attentive to us. She came back a few minutes later and we decided we were ready to order. We both ordered the shrimp and paremesan sirloin steak meal. I ordered my steak medium and my husband ordered his well done. Our lunch arrived within 10 minutes. I should have questioned the small amount of time it took to cook a steak. To be honest when our food arrived it did not look very appetizing. The shrimp, steak and the mashed potatoes looked nothing like the pictures on menu. The shrimp was small, the mashed potatoes looked over whipped and off putting. My steak was no where near medium, it was over cooked. When I received the steak, I tried to cut it and I had a heck of a time. When I was done cutting it. I took a bite and the steak was so chewy and unseasoned. It was inedible. I actually spit most of it out in a napkin. It tasted awful, it was beyond repulsive. It had a lot of grizzle and barely any meat.The mashed potatoes I received were ice cold. I would have complained but I did not want someone working there retaliating by spitting in our food or something worse. In my opinion the food was awful! What really pissed me off was the fact another waitress seated a family directly behind us that had kids. The kids were obnoxious. They kept kicking the back part of the booth I was sitting in. It almost felt like it was deliberate. I thought that was very inconsiderate of her and I did not appreciated it at all. The only redeeming factor of the meal was the Won ton Tacos. Before we left my husband finished off his coffee and looked inside the mug and it was filthy. It looked like they never cleaned the mug. It was disgusting!. Today he has been feeling really sick. His stomach has been hurting since last night. I am really pissed that these inconsiderate people have the nerve to serve coffee in a filthy dirty mug. Do they have a conscience at all! I'm visiting from San Francisco doing some work up here in Lodi and I was pleased to see an Applebee's that offered indoor seating. Our server Samantha was very sweet and took great care of us. She remembered me from a few days ago and knew that I liked my BBQ sauce sweet, not spicy. The food was late, but Samantha ensured us she had our backs and would diligently check on it. On a Friday night at around 6PM one would expect to find little parking and no seating at Applebee's, however parking was OK and A's was half-full. We were a large party and were seated quickly with the manger's help. My reviews always lean in favor of the business especially since the loss of income for servers etc. over the last year. The latest advertising brought me "back" but unfortunately my dinner was pathetic! I had the beef-dip sandwich with fries. The beef was tough and tasted old. The others had good dinners and no complaints. Our server Michael Rincon was a real delight; he was fast, helpful and accurate, and made our visit worthwhile. We hope that A's will continue to improve and be a place where "Vinnie" would want to patronize. read more

I was a regular at this place on Saturday nights. I have no idea what happened but I had the WORST dining experience of my life tonight. Okay, we get there. We order drinks and appetizers. We wait. Forty minutes passes... no appetizers no cocktails. Finally we get cocktails. The waitress then tells us that they are out of both of the appetizers we ordered. I was ready to go but my wife chose two others. Another twenty five minutes pass and then we got pretzels and cheese sauce. Sauce was freezing. Literally. They didn't even microwave it. All I wanted was the check but our waitress was no where to be found. It was like we were trapped in restaurant hell. I could hear other customers complaining. Finally, we got our tab and their tablets that you can usually at pay at were down. We had to wait another fifteen minutes to pay our bill. Another thing we noticed is one of their tv was broken a couple of weeks ago. It makes everyone look BLUE. This week another tv went down and it makes people GREEN. Two tv's broken? This restaurant has gone down in customer service, and food. went here last night and it took them 20 mins to get me my soda. The waitress didn't know how to change out the syrup was the reason why I was sitting without something to drink. I went for dinner with my parents in celebration of Veterans Day for my dad we ordered our food and drinks and our appetizer since me and my mom got the 2 for $32 meal deal the buffalo wings were good we waited 45 minutes for our main meal to come by the time it came it was cold the steak was cooked like I ordered it ( medium rare ) I ordered the 8oz with fries and broccoli and was given mashed potatoes and they did eventually bring out my fries my mom's steak looked as if it was a 6oz steak instead of 8oz my dad ordered a shrimp meal with shrimp fries and coleslaw his coleslaw never came and they gave us extra drinks when we didn't get asked for any my dad ordered a raspberry ice tea and the second one was a regular one I didn't want a second Pepsi so i'm disappointed it went to waste an older couple before us about 5 minutes before had gotten seated and serviced by the time our food came that couple were already leaving. The kitchen staff and managers in kitchen area need revamped. We don't go all the time but often enough you think they would know how to cook steaks. Long story turned short on Veterans Day took my husband here to get his free meal and our daughter we were seated 5 minutes after another couple and the couple left the restaurant as we just got served our food. Waited over 40 minutes for our food and my husband's dinner was missing some food and mine and my daughter's was cold. The last few times I have come here everything has been great. They were slammed and still only took 15-20 min to be seated. The kitchen staff killed it, I ordered the bourbon st chicken and shrimp and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection with great flavor. Worst service I've had at any restaurant, they took an hour to get my first order of boneless wings out my wife didn't receive her extra side of garlic Mayo for her Burger and they left all the plates and cups on the table for almost the entire service. It's pretty late on Idol night; there aren't very many places open in Lodi; my kids are visiting and they wanted to go to Applebee's.... Pure dread coming up.... There's only a person at the bar and another table occupied... No one's watching TV at the moment.... I ask the waiter if the TV can be tuned onto American Idol.... The waiter comes back saying there's a rule at Applebee's that the TV can only be tuned to Sporting Events. That's OK, I guess... I really didn't want to watch American Idol... My daughter orders the Chicken Quesadilla Grande, my youngest son orders the House Sirloin with the Loaded Mashed Potatoes. I try to dissuade my son from ordering the steak; I've NEVER had a decent steak at Applebee's no matter where the Applebee's was located! I order the Angus Bacon Cheeseburger (how bad can they mess up a Cheeseburger, right?). My daughter's Chicken Quesadilla was OK, but do you really order something you can get at Taco Bell at a sit-down restaurant? My son's Sirloin must have been the lowest grade of "something" you can get and still be called meat; it was awful! My son only finished about half the steak. One good thing... The Mashed Potatoes were pretty good. Should have just ordered four orders of Mashed Potatoes and called it an evening! Can you mess up a Cheeseburger? At Applebee's, they try their darnedest!
