We were on our way home from Memphis and ended up here for the evening, and I was about to give this Applebee's a two star because they had a very limited wine list(four choices-- but one of them was ok---the Columbian Crest merlot). Also I got the new turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich and it was excellent. My wife also got the shrimp salad and it was also good. Our server, Melanie, was very friendly and efficient, So the bottom line is easily a three star. read more

When you order the Oreintal Salad you are supposed to get 2 sauces and they never have the Teriyaki sauce. All the other Apple Bees have it.

The service was fantastic but the food left a lot to be desired. Very bland. Everything tasted the same. We ordered the honey pepper chicken and bourbon street shrimp and chicken. Even after we salted it there was still very little flavor. It's not the fault of this one Applebee's, it's the cost of dining at a chain restaurant. Had dinner with my wife and 2 grandchildren at Applebee's in LaGrange, KY last night (Friday). We frequent this location about twice a month. We have been coming less because of a drop off in the food quality in the last 6 months or so. The food isn't bad. Just not as good as it was in the past. Last night I ordered the Lemon Parmesan Shrimp. I was extremely disappointed. The described the entree this way: Blackened shrimp (medium size pictured) sautéed with tomatoes, onions and basil. Served over creamy rice with a decadent lemon cream sauce and Parmesan cheese. What I was served was blackened mini shrimp over boiled white rice. A few pieces of diced tomatoes and onions, no creamy sauce or cheese. I squeezed some additional lemon juice on it and it was edible. It was not even close to what is advertised in the menu. I had started with a bowl of Applebee's Chicken soup. It was pretty tasty but inconsistent in it's temperature. Some spoonfuls were hot as they should be. Others were lukewarm at best. Definetly not as good as the Chicken Tortilla soup at Chili's. My wife had their riblets and indicated they were fine. And our server was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Our overall experience was that this Applebee's location is average at best. There are other dining locations in Oldham County that offer better food quality. read more

Worst applebees I have ever eaten at. Takes forever to get seated even when tables are open, always something wrong with the food, the manager wont even bother to see you if you ask for them. Walked in with a party of 7 we did not mind the wait at all we knew we would have one the host acted like we committed a crime because we wanted a table not a cramped booth and chose to wait. Our waiter was slow to come to the table and gave us the excuse that the back door was blow. Off the hinges.... Appetizers were good ordered our food, steaks were cooks perfects asked for a1 our waiter didn't bring it we asked a passing waiter who brought it and flopped it down in front of me I thanked him and he stalked off I assume mad because we had bothered him since we weren't his regular table. Waiter was great. Never waited for a drink and was very friendly. First beer tasted like natural light was to be a bud light. Rest of them tasted fine and long islands were great. Went during happy hour and actually had a good time and didnt break the wallet. I have never been a big fan of applebees but after the other night i may have to hit this place up again sometime soon. read more

Sat and waited for food for 2 hours when it arrived the food was cold. They said they would fix it in 3 minutes. 20 minutes later still no food. My family just left. They don't have a zero star choice read more

Poor service! Waited over 10 minutes on a slow night for a hostess to show up to seat us. She did apologize for making us wait. Once seated, there wasn't a server in sight in our area. There were only 3 tables with people where we sat. We waited 20 minutes to at least have our drink order taken. A server did come through but just looked at us and kept walking. We got up and left. No reason for this type of service on a Wednesday evening with most people sitting at the bar and maybe 8 tables occupied in dining area. read more

Worst place to eat in or near la grange, and there aren't very many restaurants here to begin with. No matter how they try the can't get it right. Meals below average for the price. Steaks if u can call them steaks are all cooked to death no matter how u order them. So small too that not worth the price for well cooked gristly steak. Don't order it you will be highly. disappointed. Orders are always missing a few items or they are out of ketchup or out of whatever it was you ordered. Poor operations. Absolutely horrific! We went through 3 waiters before we even got our drinks. Took about 10-15 minutes to even get our drinks. And the waiter never came back to take our order. My boyfriend after waiting so long, ended up using the electronic tablet thing to order an appetizer. Our appetizer arrived about 20 minutes later and we still haven't ordered. They finally took our order whenever the appetizer arrived. That was 35 minutes later! After our order was taken we never seen our waitress again. Pathetic...........If there was a no star option I would have used that. We were seated (Thurs. June 23, 2016) and started to look at the menu. A veteran waitress came to the table and introduced a trainee and we looked over the menu. I had a question, and the trainee didn't know the answer (rightfully so because he is new), the veteran waitress came over and said the menu's were new, intimating that she didn't have a clue either. My wife ordered a hamburger, and I ordered a garden burger. As he was trained, the trainee asked my wife if she wanted it dark or pink inside (I presume that mean well done or medium for the hamburger). She told him her preference and he proceeded to ask me the same for the garden burger! I said it is not meat so there is no dark or pink for that burger.............he thought for a second, and agreed. Why would you have a pink garden burger? The meanlcame after a while (too long since few other people were in the place) and we started eating. I am about a third of the way through and I show the "garden" burger to my wife and it has a hamburger in it. I call the servers over and the neither had a clue, so the veteran server goes and gets a menu to show me the one sentence description of the dish. She told me that it was called a garden burger because the cheese had dill in it. When I order it the trainee agreed it was a garden burger like we all know one is that being a veggie burger. Neither offered to go ask the cook, nor solve the problem. So with this dish, the menu is either wrong or too vague, or the people haven't a clue (obvious) or both. I purposely have used no names because it is not their fault. This is a management and training problem. Don't know why anyone would ever make a return trip to this place it is a joke. read more

The service was possibly the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. The Thai shrimp salad they forgot the shrimp on all 3 of our salads. They forgot silverware. It took an hour to get our food. Do not go. Applebee's needs to seriously evaluate whether they want their name associated with this franchisee. I do not particularly like to eat here. When I was little it was my favorite place my mom would take me to eat for a reward but the food and service is horrible now. The food is over priced and I can never find anything I really like when ordering. The service is not that great. I used to love their orange chicken bowl but they do not serve it anymore. I do like their chicken fingers and fries for lunch but that is about it. I would recommend going to one of the many other restaurants around lagrange because this one just doesn't cut it. read more
