My boyfriend and I usually get the 2 for 25$ deal. One time for the appetizer we got buffalo wings and they were good. And for my dinner I got the pasta, when I received it there was a piece of hair in it. I told my server and she came back a minute later with the same pasta and just took my hair out. I was disgusted.... Since my boyfriend loves coming here so much I tried to come and give it another chance. I got the steak this time, and it was completely all fat. I told my server once again and she came back with the same steak but cooked it a little longer. I ate at Applebee's in Kenner on 06/20/2018. We arrived around 4:30 and had a group of six. There were two other occupied tables when we walked in. We were seated immediately, but we waited about 5 minutes for the waitress to come take out drink order. She was not very friendly. I ordered a sweet tea, and it was among the worst teas I've ever been served. I then requested a water with a lemon and a lime, it came out with only a lemon. I had to request a lime 3 more times and wait 20 minutes to get a lime. We ordered chips and salsa and an order of spinach artichoke dip. Both appetizers came out in a timely manner. We ordered a two for 20 and the portions looked as if we had ordered off the kids menu. We also ordered two chicken fettuccine pastas, one without broccoli and with penne instead of the regular noodles, and the three cheese chicken pasta without tomatoes. The food did not come out all at once and the waitress forgot to put in the three cheese chicken pasta. After beginning to eat we realized that they had made the fettuccine with penne a three cheese chicken pasta without tomatoes. We ordered a kids grilled chicken with fries and that came out perfectly. Unfortunately, the spinach artichoke dip was the star of the meal, and even that was not very good. We've had a couple other bad experiences at Applebee's, but after this one it is now permanently crossed off our "Restaurant Options" list. Their black and blue burger is AWESOME! i love a thick juicy burger and that is what I got. SO GOOD. The quesadilla burger however is not that great. The appetizers are regular crappy american chain food appetizers. Go for late night happy hour and cheap appetizers after 9:30. Bartenders are fun, its cheap and the appetizers are better when you're drinking! I come here usually as a last resort, my niece requested to come here of course i didn't want to tell her no, fast forward food took super long, it tasted bland we could barely get any refills and it smelled of wet dog in there. Everything was just dirty. Our waitress was ok, but what stood out to me the most was a young man names Ian. He was so polite and the waitresses would just make him serve their tables when they just didn't feel like doing it. We dine here once or twice a month. We have had numerous call waitresses over about a ten years period. What they may lack in other areas this store has always made up with above average service. Tonight, (5/15/17) we came around 9:30, waited about four minutes for someone to wander from the back to the hostess stand. I asked for a table and not at the bar. The young man escorted me to a very small two-top, about two feet away from a booth with loud drinkers. He (host/employee) said this was the only table available because there were only three waiters working. Perhaps there were only three waiters, but there were only five tables in the entire restaurant with people seated in them. (yes, I counted) What I think he really meant was that many sections are closed and the chores of closing down the restaurant were more important than serving the guests, It was also obvious that this fellow had some sort of authority and it sure seemed like he was attempting to use it on me. I didn't say anything, I just took my friend and we walked out. The young fellow didn't say anything, just watched us walk out. If you guys want to close at 9:30, can I suggest you change the sign with the hours to match. read more

I had to ask for a certain sauce to put on it so it would not be dry. Had they told me they were out I would have gotten something else. We just drove in from a long trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn. tired, hungry and a cold coming on I just wanted to get good food and quick. I remembered seeing a commercial where I could just call it in and drive up and pick it up. Sound good to me, so that's what I did! We ordered the 2 for $20 which is an appetizer and 2 entrees. We got Spicy white queso with tortilla chips, Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp and New Blackened Chicken Penne. First when I drove up it only took about 3 minutes for my food to come out, the young girl was very nice and friendly. The meals looked good to the eye, they seemed smaller then normal meals we've had before. I think the meat is smaller, I had the Blackened Chicken Penne and it seemed like 1/2 a breast. And the other meal only had a few shrimp. I am a small eater so it was plenty for me. I only ate 1/2 and was full leaving lunch for tomorrow. My fiance on the other hand ate all of his in what seemed like minutes. "So if your a big eater this may not be enough for you" We did have the chips and queso sauce too though, which he ate and said, it was very good. So this was a last minute decision and honestly it shows. This Applebee's is in an area that doesn't have much going on but regardless this isn't why I gave this place a low rating. When we walked in we were not immediately seated, even though there were servers standing around. It took a manager coming over seeing us standing waiting for us to be seated. Secondly, the server was terrible, we ordered chips and queso for an appetizer and were the chips ever so salty. It's as if the chips were fried in salt. Also there were changes made to the recipe for the fiesta lime chicken. This is what my girlfriend and her mother got. I myself got the margarita shrimp and chicken and it was so full of lime. It took away from the meal because there was too much going on. I ordered their new strawberry lemonade and it took forever for that to come out to me. I just think this was a bad experience all together. My father and I stopped in for lunch. It was a favorite of my mom and dad, and went there a couple of times a month. My mom passed away almost 2 years ago, and this visit for lunch was the first time back for my dad. We were there right at lunch time, 12-12:30. We were seated and we saw a 20 top they were serving. And only 6-7 tables were occupied. We were seating next to the large group and it took a while for our drinks. I understand that the waitresses were very busy with the large crowd. We had to wait for, not only for our drinks, but it took a half an hour for our appetizer to arrive. We had to wait an hour for our entrees to make it to our table. The large crowd had left after our appetizer was delivered, and we were still waiting for our food. During the whole time I was watching the waitresses, they weren't serving anyone but were standing around the cash register and was talking to each other. I had to raise my voice over the music for them to hear me. I asked when was our food coming out. So, 15 minutes later, we were served. I got a chicken parmesan, my dad got a hamburger. My chicken was so hot I burned my tongue and the sauce was horrible, and it tasted like can sauce, but worse. My dad said his burger was ok, but he took the top bun off and there's a big piece of lettuce from the end of a lettuce, big, thick and white. I asked for a tea to go, and after waiting for it, they weren't even getting it as they were discussing something, at that point we walked out. That lunch cost 54.00!! Okay good customer service by the waitress but all honesty disgusting food from the sweet tea to under cooked dry boneless wings. Like why they even asked me what flavor when it had no sauce on it, besides I could not chew it because undercooked. I ordered the three cheese chicken and made sure to mention extra Alfredo sauce because they usually think and little, however it was very Chevy and dry, barely had any cheese or sauce. We live nearby so usually this is the go to spot for us. Tonight it was absolutely terrible. Our server didn't know a thing about the drink menu and I got questioned about something basic like a rum punch, which is on the menu. When our server brought out the app, we had no plates or silverware. My food came out first, by itself. Nothing was said about where the other plates were at, or if I needed any condiments. We ordered French Onion Soup and had to send it back three times. It was cold and the last time they had added water and it was watery and tasteless. Didn't drink it. food came before the last bowl of cold and tasteless soup. Then when we told the waitress to take off the cost of one of the bowls of soup because it had not been touched because it was nasty. When we asked for the tab, she brought us the bill for another table. The mashed potatoes with the steak were cold and the broccoli were cold and the only thing that was worthwhile was the coffee. We asked for crackers while we were waiting for the third cup of soup and we were brought four packs of saltine crackers that were stale. What a nightmare! Terrible. I echo the poor ratings of this Applebee's from other Yelp users. I'll share you my story from my experience with them tonight. I had ordered through CurbSide To Go. I had put in my order online 30 minutes before getting there at the time they said that my online order would be ready. Low and behold, I get there; and without checking, she says that it'll be a "couple more minutes." I wait an extra 15 minutes during which time she never went back to check on my order. After 15 minutes, I kindly asked her to go back and check (and mind you, it was a Monday night with very low number of people dining in). She comes back and says to me, without apologizing, "Here's your food." My food was apparently just sitting out in the kitchen the entire time. I had requested my steak Medium Well. I get home, cut into my steak, and what comes out: Blood. And lots of it. The steak was as raw as it gets--in fact, completely raw inside--and my sides were not even warm out the box. I live 5 minutes away from this Applebee's. What do I do next? I have to re-cook the steak, re-season the thing, re-heat all my side dishes. The CurbSide To Go attendant was not friendly. In fact, their manager might want to train the wait-staff not to talk badly about their customers within earshot. What do I hear as I wait for my food? I hear a waiter say "That woman over in table 16 has some (f-word expletive) crazy kids." Very professional. I'd stay away from this place. read more
