It was a party of 4, 2 were kids. I ordered a garden salad which I always do. This time it was just lettuce and chedder cheese, no tomatoes, cukes or croutons. Instead of complaining I split my husbands large salad also. Halfway through the meal, a mouse ran up the aisle. It then went under the tables, one of the waitresses was following it and apologized. We weren't hungry after that. After the check came someone who I assumed was the manage came over and said they were having people come in to address the mouse problem. He then said he hoped we enjoyed our meal and left. The bill came to $29, 2 of the meals being Kraft Mac and Cheese for kids. I understand rodents are a problem in restaurants but you would assume he would comp the meals or at least give us a gift card hoping that we would return. read more

To go order with a whiskey bacon burger. As you can see we did not receive bacon or crispy onions on the burger. Lettuce tomato onion and pickles are under burger patty but not bacon on the whiskey BACON burger. Ice cold food after we waited 10 minutes after it was scheduled to be done. Wouldn't have been mad about the wait if it was warm and correct. Sad to say that a fast food burger would have been way more enjoyable. This review is a one star because we gave it another shot after sitting down in here one night while they were slow and our waitress couldn't even get our order right. My experience today doesn't even rate a star. It took us 20 minutes to get a drink and we received an attitude from the server, even when I was going to explain to her that it was not her fault. We asked to see the manager and she/he never came to the table. This is their loss. We go there often and leave a really good tip Over 20%. One star is too good. I went into the resturant to pick up my To Go order and was told it would be just a few more minutes. 20 minutes later they bring out the wrong order. The manager stated that they gave my order to someone with the same name. They had to redo my order . I sat in that resturant for almost an hour waiting for my order. The manager gave me the most insincere apology for the delay and didn't even offer to give me a free dessert or a gift card for the inconvenience his resturant caused. One star is too many for the last visit. Ordered the new neighbor hood burger with the double patties and a ceasar salad. Salad was ok aside from the rotten romaine scattered with the good stuff. The burger on the menu looked great so I ordered medium when asked. Burger came and I immediately said it doesn't look anything like the burger on the menu. I opened the top after the kid serving left and I was shocked. It was two burned flat discs of disgust with melted and charred cheese mixed on top and in between what used to possibly be meat. I tried to lift the top one up but it cracked and broke off flopping over like a hinged bulkhead because of the sticky cheese stuff. The server came over and actually said I'm sorry that looks terrible and said he was going to ask the chef(?) if he could make it med rare like I asked. He came back with this meal and said nope that's how it's made everywhere. I said I'm all set, I'll stick with my salad. Manager happened to come by to ask if everything was ok. I said since you asked going the kitchen and tell me the thing they tried to serve me looks anything like the menu picture. It was literally 1/4 the size, burned, and the nice lettuce replaced by greasy greens. Manager came back and said that's how it's cooked everywhere but if you do t want it we will remove it from the bill. Wow! We went there often. Went into the Haverhill Applebees with my husband and son for dinner. The waitress was great, and the food was really good. As we were finishing up, a family of four were seated behind us. There was a small boy who screamed several times in a very high pitch. No response from the parents. It was a VERY high pitch, and the parents did nothing to try and quiet the child. It was extremely loud. Something I had not experienced ever before loud. Asked for the manager. Asked if she could just politely ask if maybe she could just see about the noise. Just politely use her managerial skills to ask. Instead, the manager nastily said that this is a family restaurant, and there was nothing she could do or say. Though I UNDERSTAND that it is a family restaurant, it is not Chucky Cheese. The manager, MIA, was very nasty, and didn't even try to be polite saying she was sorry or anything. Mia had a VERY BAD attitude, and she should NOT be in a managerial experience with that kind of attitude. A great meal, a good waitress, but an INCOMPETENT and RUDE Manager, MIA was her name. read more

We stopped in yesterday & sat at the bar ... bar had only one other patron... restaurant was busy ... lots of families... ordered our drinks.. bartender gave us our menus ... they were dirty & wet. Finished our app, plates not cleared until we finished our meals ... dinner took over 20 minutes to get. Kitchen was getting meals out but they gap between our app and meals was far too long. Once we did receive the meals, salad was great ... fiesta lime chicken was delicious as well but the rice was extremely dry ... This has to be the lowest quality of table service chain restaurants. I compare Applebee's to Chilis, Friday's and 99 Bar and Grill. I just think the place is ALWAYS dirty, the food quality is sub standard and the service is poor. Again another good meal at Applebee's in Haverhill, MA. I am never disappointed there when Jody is serving as she greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome! I told her they are lucky to have such a good worker. I had the best fish dinner, large, perfectly fried with potatoes and cole slaw, YUM! I also had another Old Fashioned cocktail made with lots of fruit, bitters, soda....the old way, and it hit the spot. This is a place where you always see repeat customers because Applebee's is consistently good there, they are always giving you something new to choose while keeping the best dishes on the menu. Typically I have an alright time coming to my local Applebee's restaurant. The food comes out warm,I have silverware at my table, and always have a full glass of water. Tonight, however. I've been seated for an hour and had one glass of water, had to wait for straws to be able to enjoy my water. No silverware. Waited 40 minutes for silverware and terrible service. Understaffed maybe? Took my GF out for Valentines. I Got the chicken Parm. Had to send it back as it was like eating gristle. This place has actually really improved over the years. I used to get sick here when I was a kid. But over the holidays I got gift cards here and decided to give it another chance. The menu changed and there's a lot of unique things. I love the cheeseburger eggrolls which I think have been a staple, and the 4 cheese Mac and cheese. Went to Abblebee's for dinner. Just disappointed. I got the 7 oz steak & fries. I literally ate two small cubes before I gave up. The steak had this funny taste to it. Hard to describe. I get one of the 550 calorie dinners every week or two. It is good, decent food at a reasonable price. Sometimes we eat in, sometimes we take out. I am used to going in the front door after 9pm for the takeout. The staff are nice and seem to have a low turn over. I go here often because it's close to my house, the food is reasonably priced and the food is pretty good. I always get the fiesta lime chicken and my boyfriend really likes the quesadilla burger. The white peach sangria is always tasty. The service is always pretty good. Some definitely better than others. Overall, a good option for convenience and price sake. read more

And we noticed they increased the prices to 2 for $22 and 2 for $27 which was fine until when we got our food they also decreased the portion size dramatically.
