I was there on Tuesday April 7th 2026 and the food was great and the waitress was great to us as well

My wife has been going to Danville,Ky for physical therapy. After her therapy we have been stopping at Applebee's to eat. The food is always great. The service is excellent the ambiance is very nice. I have enjoyed many of their dishes ranging from chicken to steak. Always cooked perfectly. Staff are friendly but not pushy. Plenty of time given for your experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Went to Applebee's with my wife and ended up having one of the most frustrating experiences we've had at a restaurant in a while. After we placed our order, we waited over 40 minutes for our food. The waitress came by a couple times saying the kitchen was backed up, but the place wasn't even that busy. It seemed more like they were short-staffed or something got messed up with the order. When the food finally showed up, it honestly wasn't worth the wait. I got the triple cheese chicken penne, and it was just bad. Half the noodles didn't have any sauce on them, the sauce itself was cold, the chicken was cold, and the noodles were so overcooked they were rubbery. The bread was burnt on the bottom and still doughy on top, just carelessly done all around. Nobody checked in to see how the food was or tried to make it right. It felt like we were just forgotten about, and when the food came, it was like they didn't care. Based on the other reviews I've seen, I'm guessing this is the norm and not the exception. We "ate" at Applebee's in Danville last night. The fettuccine was rubbery witn very little sauce and the cheese on the chicken was burnt. The hamburger was greasy. The fish was overcooked, greasy and salty. The oriental chicken salad was mostly red cabbage and inedible. Our drinks were lukewarm by the time our food was served. Sadly, we probably will not visit our favorite Danville restaurant, save our money and eat at home.​ read more

Ordered carry out today. Needed to change the time it would be picked up. Was told they had 900 wings to get out first. My issue....why would you put out 900 before a small 10 piece order? Secondly I was left on the counter I guess. (The phone was not on hold) and could hear every conversation for 10 minutes. Called back because my money was not refunded and sat on the phone for 15 minutes waiting for someone to pick up the phone again. No one apologized or acted like it was any big deal. Do not recommend going here or calling. Especially if you want service in a timely manner. read more

You would think coming in at 3:30pm you would have great service. Well, the manager had to get our drinks and it was a few minutes before we saw our waitress to take our order. The wait time on the food wasn't too bad. I was pleasantly supposed with the southwestern chicken bowl I got. I guess what bothers me most is the restaurant is always dirty when entering and it doesn't look like the people that work their take pride in the cleanliness. Our waitress was amazing but the restaurant itself is horrible. The manager is giving paper towels as napkin's and our poor waitress had over 10 tables. The restaurant is disgusting and needs to be cleaned. The white board still says, Happy Halloween. read more

Took my granddaughter there to eat. She said her meal was good. Mine was nasty when the waitress asked me, I told her it was nasty. She apologized, told the manager, but apparently it made no difference to the manager as they never came out to talk to me or offered a discount . I even wrote on my receipt that the meal was bad and still no response. So apparently they don't care whether you like their food or not as long as you pay for it. I will not be back. I told the waitress I thought it was bad business that the manager did not bother to come talk to me and apparently did not care what the customer thought. read more

Went friday night after work (around 1130 pm). They were packed, but extremely friendly. Our server was such a sweet lady, & helped us save so much money. She was putting up with some customers who were rude for absolutely no reason, but she kept a smile the entire time. This place good place to dine our but they had been going downhill the last couple of months.We waited for our appetizers to come out which we neve receive. We even mentioned it to our waitress .Took a 1hr 10 minutes to get our food and when we had our food some of it was cold.The wife and I have decided not to go back here anymore. It's little things like a refill that show your customers how good the service is. It can make all the difference of a dining experience. When you see waitresses "hanging out" with a customer in the next booth because they know them, but fail to fill a drink, that's a problem. I hope that management impresses upon the wait staff the importance of a drink refill. When business is slow, and so is the food, at least keep the drinks refilled. read more

Everything you would expect from Applebee's, plus outstanding service from Aaron. The kids meals are a great deal (big portions and an easy picture menu) and the server was attentive to the kids. We shared the combo appetizer and everything on it was good. The quesadilla burger was a bit strange and fell apart easily, but we got what we ordered and it was decent. I've always liked the perfect margarita, because they bring you the whole shaker so you can sip it cold throughout the meal. read more

To say this was the worse dining experience ever is an understatement. I guess now I know why this location only has 2.5 star rating. We were seated immediately upon arriving and it took between 5-10 minutes before our waitress showed up to take our drink order. She was unfamiliar with most of what they had on tap. We ordered our drinks and had to wait a good while and then looked at the bar and realize that the issue was changing a tap out. No big deal but let us know what's going on. We finally received our beverages and then ordered our food. I checked in on Yelp immediately after our waitress took our food order. I kid you not it took almost 40 minutes to receive our meal. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Rollups and extra mexi Ranch (this is normally served on the side as a dipping sauce). When I received my food the mexi Ranch was already on the rollups. Nope, not supposed to be prepared that way but I eat it anyhow. I did have to ask for extra on the side because I like to dip my fries in it as well. Our waitress was a little preoccupied taking care of her friend that was sitting at the table next to ours. We got the impression she was also an employee but not working today. We rarely saw her and when we did we had to ask for more drinks as one of our glasses was completely empty. Moving forward, the bartender girl we heard yelling in conversation to the manager in the back. Wow, not good customer service and at one point she was leaving from behind the bar to the back and the words the start with "G D" came out of her mouth. So unprofessional!! Poor service all the way around by the server, kitchen and management. Not to mention the hostess which I'll spare you the details of what I witnessed. Me and the boys just love obliterating 8+ $1 margs after 9pm. Arrive 45min early, get some cocktails in you, and then order 15 wings for 50¢ each. Drinks and wings for less than 10 bucks? Sign me up. Hadn't been here n a while because the quality had gotten bad but figured I would try them out again, but sadly they have gotten even worse instead of better. To stat out with they brought us both dirty glasses with black stuff floating around in them. The soup was cold, the salad was hot and wilted. The wings tasted like they came from the freezer section at Walmart. The onion rings were the only thing that was ok but they came out several minutes late because the cook forgot them. read more

Terrible experience with curb side to go order. They left the extra celery and blue cheese dressing completely off the order which I paid for on line. I ordered at 5:58pm and my confirmation email said it would be ready to pick up at 6:21pm, they handed it to me at 6:40 with the excuse the kitchen was really busy, parking lot was half empty! After having a horrible experience at another local restaurant, we went to this Applebees. Very quick service, especially for a Saturday night. Food was great and cooked correctly. Server was very nice. In and out in 45 minutes. read more

On a return visit to Applebee's we were even more Blown Away about how wonderful the service and food was. Our server was wonderful and friendly and very attentive. The food was fresh and had a great taste. Our refills were always there right on time and when looking around the restaurant was immaculate. I could eat here every day and be perfectly happy. First off all, it was 10:30 at night, and ALL we wanted was a nice sit down meal. INSTEAD, we had an awfully sit-down wait - we had to wait for our food forever, just to receive the WRONG ORDER. The waitress was distracted and rushed us, only to sit down at the bar to mingle with customers. When the food finally arrived, it was subpar at best. The portions of the meals were overpriced for their laughably small size. The steak in the "steak salad" was dwarfed by the salad, and was not correctly cut. The Fire Roasted "Chicken" Salad barely had any Chicken. The "Caprese" Mozzarella burger was dry, ill-inspired and sad. The vegetarian options were practically nonexistent. The general dining experience was a terrible ending to our long day. Service was poor and the food was mediocre. Will not be back. read more

Want to go out for not a lot of calories - this is the place. With an under 550 calorie menu and Weight Watchers menu, there are a lot of lo-cal choices. For business people on the road, this is a better choice than Lean Cuisine in the microwave. The place is new - atmosphere contemporary and clean, and the menu choices decent. The wine was only $3 and my overall meal less than $20. A worthy contender in a town absent of good choices. read more

This has nothing to due with COVID-19. As the GM of a very reputable restaurant, I would not recommend coming here later on in the evening. Never been here before. Don't know anyone. But my steak was ordered medium rare. It was as supposed to be a 6 oz. steak which after over cooked turned out to be 4 oz. with a side that was blackened; crusted and medium to well done. The broccoli I get it, it comes frozen and you have to nuke it. At least follow the recommendations of adding 1-2 ounces today water before you nuke to give a crunchy but soft feel. And throwing your dash of salt on the under-steamed broccoli doesn't make it taste good. Other than that the side salad was on point. Good mix of romaine and spring mix. West Sixth beer nice and cold. Bartender and assistant needs to stop pouring the beer with the glass directly under the spout when pouring. Train your folks that it's ok to let 1-2 ounces fall to the drain before placing your glass or mug under the spout. Foaming all your beers over every glass you pour shows poor training and lack of bartending knowledge. Remember, training and re-training when necessary is key. read more
