I usually go for a drink but not this time, went there purposefully to complete work on my laptop. Anyway, this review is more so about the incredible server I had. Her name is Yurri! She truly has a southern hospitality and is very caring and supportive about her customers. She clearly keeps her section top notch clean, she made sure that we were enjoying our time and to be honest she made the experience memorable! I highly suggest Yurri as a regular server. She's great with families, kids, large parties and more! Her sections are always clean! She hopes to be a Child Psychologist one day she says and open her own practice. Please a reminder for all... Always TIP YOUR SERVERS!!! Unless they were disrespectful and selfish. They make below minimum wage... to be exact below $3 an hour... do research. I usually tip $10 minimum... my highest tip $100+ ... just be sure to individually tip too... between 25-100% of total bill is a great start. read more

Went to this restaurant at 10:30 pm, Sunday night, 5/17/2026. Restaurant was filthy, every table in the section I was seated in was filthy. Waitress stated the restaurant was busy, but when I walked in she was on the phone at the door. And I was seated in her section, the dirty section. I have the pictures to prove this post. I told my coworker it makes no sense to pay money to eat in a filthy restaurant with nothing but dirty tables!!! We left the restaurant, will not be going back to that location ever again. read more

Place needs to be shut down! Went there and the waiter name "Mimi" was our server. We were at the table and waited for like 10 minutes didn't even get our drinks. She finally came and asked for drinks. We didn't get our drinks and waited for another 10 minutes. When she brung the drinks and we said we were ready to order. She sat the drinks down and walked off. She already had an attitude with another table then she started to cuss out my relative calling her the B word. Saying that her mom was gone come up here and beat her A**. Wonder why people don't go there anymore. Get it together !!! read more

Decided to give this place a chance after it's disfavor since it was the only place nearby that was open late. Really busy for a Tuesday night, I could only imagine it on the weekends. Seemed to be a little short staffed considering the manager brought out the appetizer after we had got our main meal. That's beside the point the wait wasn't too long although the fries weren't SUPER fresh but a little on the cold side. The boneless wings were average but the guac was just unfavorable, definitely not made fresh in house I'd say it's the prepackaged kind. read more

Food was tasty but I did a curbside order online and am extremely disappointed in it. We have a family of four staying in a hotel for the weekend. The drinks we ordered were not delivered. We received an extra fries that we didn't order (of course, not complaining there but being thorough) I ordered extra mexi-ranch for my order then called when I got there to ask them to be sure to make it 2 large ramekins so that I wouldn't need to ask the server to go back in for more in order to save them steps and time, and those were not included in the bag. Also, we had 2 cheeseburger meals and received zero condiments. Triple check your order before you pull out of the parking lot if you do an online order. Dine in may have different results but I'm really disappointed. read more

Overall , food was good and satisfying. I was hesitant to come to this place due to all the bad reviews, but I was willing to take a risk . The place was kinda empty , and we still had a long wait time for our food , roughly 35 minutes . When the food came out , it wasn't exactly fresh however . Some of the appetizers are also very over priced , they cost almost the same as some of the main entrees . My experience here was good , I think this place gets a very bad wrap , the food is good and leaves you very satisfied and full , and the customer service isn't the worst . This place is obviously short staffed, which is why their customer service and speed isn't the best . CLASSIC CHEESEBURGER W/FRIES : My burger was warm and my fries weren't necessarily hot and crunchy , they were a little soggy and cold . However , the burger served its purpose , basic cheeseburger, decent sized patty with really good buns and fresh toppings . It could've used more cheese but it's okay . HONEY BBQ BONELESS WINGS The honey bbq boneless wings were tender and good , but the breading was very thick . The celery it came with was surprisingly fresh . Ranch sauce was a little bland . read more

I walked in and the place isn't full. One area has a birthday party or other family celebration. Two different guys were by the host area. Both not only didn't even say hello, but they turned and walked away. I'm disabled and on a cane. A gal came up and told me to sit down and someone would be with me in a minute. Nope. Nothing. The only reason I have stayed is because I have a gift card. read more

This is the 1st time in about 7 years that I have been to an Applebee I must say that Jessie the hostess was wonderful... a family of 6 was so rude to him. I wish I could have slapp the hell out of the the woman yelling at him & telling him to do his job. Then she had the never to ask to speak with a manager, because she is spending money here and she should be seated before the 30min wait time..... wow.... Ricky our server was GREAT... the food was AWESOME... read more

I really felt like they didn't want me in here. I sat in the bar area for a few minutes. They sat a group after I sat down and were talked to nicely and handed menus. Luckily they have the scan code menu. The manager finally walked over and took my order. Once my food got here it wasn't all hot. They kept coming by and asking if I was finished. I finally said yes. (Lord man. Okay I will get out of your restaurant). Then they messed up my charge (they did fix it). Sucks that I travel for work and have to deal with these restaurants in some cities. What did I do to you guys to be disliked so much? read more

The service was horrible. Took ten minuets to get a table with less than half of the restaurant sat. Waitress left the restaurant before we received our food and was outside in a car. I do not recommend this location. read more

A great evening experience! My Curbside waitress was Jasmine, very professional, polite, dressed appropriately, very knowledgeable of what Applebee's Menu. I wanted Steak and Shrimp.....Jasmine cmgave me a suggestion on what's on the Menu that went with my taste. I purchased 2 plates...Steak, Grilled Shrimp, 2 Breadsticks, Broccoli/Cheese Casserole, Irish Potatoes. The complete was pretty, delicious, still warm. Enjoyed every bite....Will order again and may visit in person. Jasmine deserves special recognition, she adds flavor to Applebee's. Thank you! read more

absolute trash. not busy at all but waitress took forever to even get the drinks, which she got the order wrong as well (party of 4). She tried remembering all our orders instead of writing it down and messed up the food order as well (we called it). burgers were overcooked and trash, steak was definitely not 8 oz and overcooked, one of the guys still hasn't gotten their food and its been an hour and 12 minutes. terrible service, dissatisfied with food, watered down drinks too. update: food came out another 30 minutes later. the three of us who did eat now feel sick. read more

Visiting for one night only. Drove around looking for something to eat. Ahhh Applebee's. BF dropped me off to go get gas. I enter the restaurant I tell the waitress that I want to place an order to go. Hannah asks me if I can CALL the order in. Huh??? I'm physically in the restaurant right now. Who does that? Nah. I'm good. I spoke with Giles the manager who was nice enough and tried to be accommodating but at that moment I was done. Explained to him that customer service needs to be retrained. read more

We love Applebees and it's often our go to when we travel but I would avoid this site if you can. We sat at the bar to keep things simple but the bar tender acted like we were keeping her from something even though we were the only ones at the bar and only 2 of the 10 people in the whole place. Lots of standing around and/or disappearing of staff. When food finally came the plate was hotter then the food and the nasty drink which I paid $9 for was still nasty the second time around. Had she, the bar tender, had half a care about her job, the food or the drinks I wouldn't be writing this and would have ordered 4 more drinks. Definitely avoid this Applebees! read more

Applebee's was great. It was a late night meal. A group of us had traveled from Atlanta to Columbus GA for a fashion show. On the road back we were starving and we looked up the nearest eatery and Applebee's was right there. So we got the appetizer specials - 1/2 off from 9p to close (which is midnight) and we also tasted/tried their 3-course meal deal. Oh and the bartender was our waiter and he served us up some very nice concoctions AND made sure that we were taken care of. It's on 185 off of exit 7 - check it out! read more

Food was excellent and prepared well. Service was very good. The restaurant was clean. The air conditioning was up too high but we remedied that by getting jackets out of the car. It was not as noisy as other restaurants and we could hear each other talk. read more

The hostess was professional and greeted us with a warm smile...then it went down hill. We sat at our table for 20 minutes while our server Jordan L. was running back and forth between the tables that sat around us. He didn't greet us nor even ask for our drinks. Then I ordered a drink that had to come from the bar and he was so afraid to go to the bar and get it meanwhile I am trying not to choke on hot mozzarella sticks as I SEE my pink lemonade sitting up at the bar waiting to be picked up. So I sat and watched an employee's child run around the upper wing of the restaurant and play with the blinds at the window... By then I had enough of waiting and walked down to the bar to go and get my pink lemonade that was sitting there watered down. The pasta was AMAZING but after feeling like my presence as a customer did not matter. Its not worth coming back. I was just telling my coworker how great the food and service was at this location but I sure was made a fool! read more

Hostess was very professional, our waiter and service was the downfall. We were passed by for about 20 minutes while he tended to the two other tables in his section. He got all of our order in one go, and the appetizer came out before the drinks did. My coworker had a strawberry lemonade and it sat at the bar melting because no one was around to add strawberry to it, and our waiter couldn't go behind the bar. Our drinks came out when the appetizer was finished. Food was great, but the service we received was subpar. I will not frequent this location again, and will advise anyone against coming here. read more

We ordered a delivery for our supper last night. The food was terrible. My salad was mostly damaged lettuce and I had requested blue cheese dressing and didn't get it. The only good thing I can say was the food was delivered in the time frame we were given. read more

This is the worst Applebee's in the Columbus Ga area. I have been placing orders on the website for about 6 months now and out of 6 orders 5 times they have forgotten something off my order. I called a month ago and complained about the issue and supposedly they emailed me a gift card. I never received it. So I placed an order on 9-24-21 and it's the same thing spoke with a manager she advised that I could come into the store because that would be the fastest way to get the gift card. I get to the restaurant manager has no knowledge of this, no gift card was left and she was not too polite. So me and my husband will NEVER eat at this Applebees again. read more

Came here hoping to have a good meal, but was disappointed. The silverware was dirty, glass had a lipstick mark and my food had a hair in it. How disgusting!!! This location is understaffed. We walked in, the eatery area looked very empty, so we expected to wait little to no time to be seated. Our wait time was 30 minutes. Slowest restaurant in all of Columbus, was barely looked at by the servers the whole time we were there. Waited over 15 minutes to order, than waited 40 minutes for our food. This was not during a rush time either. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was one that is warranted. Edit: I will say, when the food FINALLY came out, it was good and it was hot. Food and drink is great. I'll give them that. But the atmosphere at times is not conducive to the family environment you would like to think exist at Applebee's. There have been two occasions at this restaurant that rowdy consumers using profanity freely and loudly have interrupted my family's outing. And speaking to management did nothing. I'd still visit, but not with my kids anytime soon. I do enjoy the live music they offer from time to time. read more

When I go to a chain restaurant, I don't expect a five-star meal and white-glove service. What I do expect: decent food, solid service, clean plates, no surprises, and if something goes wrong, employees that will make it right. The only good thing I can say about my family's experience at Applebee's tonight is that the food wasn't terrible - but my dad could barely enjoy his because of the treatment we received from our server, Jason. Our first issue was minor compared to later problems - we didn't receive plates and silverware until we were almost done with our appetizer, and then the plates were *dirty.* We would've asked for replacements, but we didn't see our server again until we were done with the appetizer. After a very long wait, my sons received their burgers and fries. Our waiter said nothing about our other two entrees; we assumed they were coming out right away. Nearly ten minutes later, my entree arrived and the waiter said my father's would be coming. A few minutes later, the waiter came by with a glass of water for my son. I asked him where my father's dinner was, and Jason immediately became defensive and began making excuses. He said he only had two hands and couldn't carry multiple plates (which didn't explain why he couldn't bring the plate while carrying a single glass of water). He said that people who worked there didn't help each other out. He showed us his arms (seriously!) and said he's a big guy with big arms and can't carry a lot of plates at once. I didn't want him to carry a lot of plates. I just wanted my dad to be able to eat with the rest of us. After his long explanation, I honestly expected him to go straight to the kitchen and get my dad's dinner. Instead, he went and took another family's order. A few minutes later, he came back with my dad's meal. One of my sons was already done eating at this point. My dad told the server, "I came here to enjoy a meal *with* my family." The server apologized and then began making excuses again, then told my dad, "Cut me some slack." What? When something goes wrong, apologize and try to make up for it. Don't make excuses, and don't tell the customer to cut you some slack. We had expected a manager would come by our table at some point, to ask us how our meal was - this is typical at every Applebee's we've been to (including this one), but no manager ever appeared, and there didn't appear to be one on the premises. The food isn't terrible, but the service made it a miserable experience. We won't be going to this Applebee's again. read more

We have come in a few times its close by and i usually like there food. Everytime we have been in genetian blvd location its empty and you still wait 15 mins to be seated they walk by ask if you'd been helped you say no they walk away saying let me go get someone "are you not someone" a manager comes says the same thing. My husband and I were not very happy with the service from the restaurant tonight. My sister use to work for the restaurant up in MD before she was murdered. The last time we had seen her was at work, at the restaurant, on my youngest daughter's birthday. Since then we typically return every year on one of our birthdays in the family to a location some where near where ever we are at that moment. This year we went to the Columbus location near the mall and college. It's my autistic daughter's 16th birthday. We told them we were there to help celebrate her birthday. Her birthday was on Wednesday but naturally being on a school day we couldnt do anything until the weekend. Staff at times when they knew my service dog was under the table would say hi to her in passing. They forgot about my husband's side for his food. He had to ask our waitress for his side that she didn't even notice that the kitchen forgot. Things just really weren't how they use to be for us to keep our happy memories alive like we try to yearly. Then at the end the staffing didn't do the typical singing of happy birthday. That right there is what finished off our night to not return. It completely tainted our good memories we kept alive and really ruined that mood for all of us to feel like she was still with us for that special moment. The one thing we held to every year. We took our daughter across the street for some ice cream. A lady over there was having a rough night so we bought her a small surprise gift to cheer her up, even though we didn't know her. As a restaurant you guys really need to step back up. Tonight was a big let down and super disappointing. read more

Service: C+ Cost: D Taste: B- Ambience: B Everything in this place is so overpriced it makes my head spin. Average burger is $10-11. In fact, almost every menu item is more than $10. When the food comes out, take a hard look at it. It won't take too long for you to realize that anyone could've made that same plate with some BBQ sauce and Sam's Club fried chicken. My point is that the food is pretty mediocre and does not warrant the high prices. Add a drink (most are $3-4) and add tax/tip and you'll easily pay about $30 for dinner for 2. Service is... Good but bad. I think most of the servers have good intentions, but they mess up orders so often. They brought us the wrong drink and the wrong plate. Then they tacked on an additional charge on our check, which we had to have them fix. Everything took a long time. When we asked for the check, it took a good 10 minutes. We asked them to fix a mistake on the check and it took another 10 minutes. It will be hard for someone to convince me to go back to an Applebee's. read more

I was really impressed with our service, the drinks, and our meal. Ashley was our bartender and she was great.
