Conveniently located next to a few hotels. Bartender was attentive and nice however seemed she was handling the entire restaurant on her own. Maybe one more floor staff serving. The salad was great and they have a good happy hour and specials menu offerings. The place was a bit messy and the floor very sticky. However works well when you are it's going in for a quick bite. read more

Waitress was fine but the food was not good at all. Steak tastesd like it was marinated in dirty dish water. Garlic Parmesan boneless wings tasted nothing like what they were supposed to taste like. Two stars because they did take $10 off the bill and they also do provide a military discount. read more

I came here last night with my parents, Mom, dad, & and my step dad after a night at the casino for my 21st birthday. I truly had the best experience here. Our server, I think her name was Tamera (I butchered the spelling) is probably the best server I've ever had in my life. She was so cheerful, incredibly helpful, incredibly FUN and truly helped make our night one to remember. The restaurant itself was very cozy, we sat in the bar area and the vibes were very comfortable but that could've been because they were slow and not many people were there. For food we mostly did apps but I did get I think the whiskey bacon burger and it was probably one of the best burgers I've had I want to say ever. THE DRINKS, obviously the reason we came. It was my first time drinking so naturally I wanted to try different shots and I did have a piña colada (delicious btw) and my parents were asking for drinks that weren't super well known but the staff legit went out of their way to accommodate us and our crazy requests. It was absolutely hilarious hearing the staff laughing about the crazy drink names and my inability to take a shot lol. It honestly felt like I was surrounded by my friends that's how great the vibes were. Even though we came out to drink our server (once again she was absolutely amazing) brought me some water because she didn't want me to end up miserable the following day which was incredibly sweet and smart. Thank you to the incredible staff who worked Jan. 19 2026 at 9-10 at night! You guys made my birthday truly memorable with my family and I am forever grateful! read more

I got the half a rack of ribs I always get them dry because I don't want the sauce to cover anything up and I always eat one plain just for taste I can honestly say today was probably the worst wreck I ever had in my life of ribs that have been in the refrigerator for three or four days dry as dirt they weren't tough but the meat was so overdone it was sort of shred and just clump in your mouth normally you can pull ribs apart you could barely cut these apart not tough just so dry read more

Absolutely terrible, #1 when we sat down the table was sticky. when i asked for it to be clean she handed me a wet rag and had me clean it. second thing the food was terrible the pasta was overcooked the sauce was unflavored/watered down. they were vaping dancing and running around the whole time. took 35 minutes for us to get our food (not terrible but its not like we ordered a steak.) also the sandwich we ordered didnt even have the sauce on it. not to mention it wasn't busy atall. i most definitely will not recommend or come back to this place. absolute a waste of $45. read more

Our server was very knowledgeable and personable. He checked on us frequently. The food was delicious and my steak was medium rare as I ordered. I will definitely return there. read more

Just had an amazing cheeseburger. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. That might seem boring, but the other restaurants in town have not been able to provide me with a decent, simple cheeseburger recently. I can only eat meat on rare occasions due to medical conditions, and I really craved a burger to celebrate a good week. With crispy fries. Again, something not allowed with my gut conditions. So it was a rare treat for me that was greatly appreciated. I got both things cooked perfectly and savored the meal. Thank you! Also, we got multiple appetizers and two meals which were also delicious. I was too busy loving my own food to know what they had. We had takeout and it was packaged neatly. read more

I ordered the blackened cajun salmon with french onion soup. When I received my salmon, it looked and tasted like the frozen salmon planks you get from the grocery store. Not blackened. No cajun seasonings. Not even salt or pepper or lemon. Nothing. It was the most disgusting salmon I've tasted ever in my life. If I wanted to have that, I would have gone across the street and got a fresh salmon from the seafood section at Martins and been way cheaper and delicious of a meal. The french onion soup was great though and only reason I didn't put 1 star. read more

food and service was outstanding been there 4 times in last 2 mounts very good each time

Came here to grab a bite before a show. Was seated immediately, but apparently no one informed my server, so she came around to take my order after I'd been sitting there for around 15 minutes. I got a glass of wine and the 8 Oz steak. Steak was slightly overcooked, but was very tasty and tender. I had mashed potatoes and green beans as sides which were both pretty good. All in all, decent meal, good service. read more

horrible!!! left with food poisoning, food was disgusting, service was fine.. but absolutely foul, need an inspection!

Not sure what has happened to this place. The service was Horrible. Impolite, slow, inattentive. The food was also not good. Little to no sauce on the pasta, bacon burger was supposed to have sauce on it but had none at all. Felt like I was on a TV show because of the VERY tense atmosphere. Strange woman at the bar approaching other customers and asking questions about staff. Waiter asking customers personal, inappropriate questions. I have eaten here more times than I can count and will NEVER go there again! read more

I typically get the four-cheese mac and cheese entree, but decided to get the baby back ribs this time. Tasted fine just could've been softer. Everyone at my table that ordered a side of broccoli did have to ask for new ones since they were overcooked. Besides that, everything else was fine. It was my little brother's birthday and they gave him a complimentary dessert--which was the triple chocolate meltdown (pretty good). Waitress was always around when we needed her and was tentative on the drink refills. No complaints there. read more

Ordered cheeseburgers for takeout. They were supposed to be medium and both were dry, overcooked and burnt. A burger is not supposed to be crispy and it looked like they smooshed the burger on the grill until they were almost flat. Worst burgers ever! read more

Terrible service. Our waiter never came to our table waiting 15 minutes. Had a waitress that was leaving take our drink order. Then our waiter showed up. Told him we had already got our drinks and then another 10-12 minutes goes by never came back. Ended up leaving. Left a 5 to cover the drinks( soda) Honestly shouldn't have left money for how shitty he was. Overheard our waiter tell another gentleman who was never asked his order or drink that he was busy but he kept walking back into the kitchen and just never came back out. Shoutout to the lady to who our drinks while she was leaving. If I knew our crappy waiter I'd tell you his name (think it was jay could be wrong all I know he was a guy on the bigger side). and tell you to ask for another waiter or just don't stay cause you will be wasting your time. read more

I normally do not write reviews but this was the worst Applebee's I have eaten at. Appetizer, spinach artichoke was delivered cold. My husband ordered a steak which was nothing but gristle. The restaurant was out of steak sauce. The broccoli tasted as if it had been soaked in salt. He also ordered a oreo shake for dessert which had chunks of ice in the shake. The blondie brownie was extremely dried out. We will consider other options next time we are on the road. Extremely disappointed customer. read more

Charlestown WV I just ate there and all I can say is awful awful awful. The place was pretty much empty. The only thing good was the mashed potatoes. I waited a long time for the meal, the chicken breast had absolutely no flavoring and the garlic green beans were rubbery and no garlic. The apple dessert was mushy and tasted not fresh. The waitress was pleasant enough but never asked me if I wanted a refill for my soda or if the food was okay. It was a challenge to get her to my table to ask for my dessert and check. I did hear her tell someone she was the only one there waitressing and tending bar. read more

What is Applebees claim to fame? It's definitely not tasty food. I spent $30 tip included on gluey pasta and a cocktail. It was PLAIN like hospital food. I was ok spending $30 but I expected more. We were nervous to eat at this location because of the low rating. I am so glad we chanced it. It was so delicious, I went twice in a week. First time we had the 2 for $25: Salads as appetizers, upgraded to 8 oz steak and yummy garlicky potatoes. Second time I went, again 2 for $25: Spinach dip as appetizer Lime chicken and opted for garlicky potatoes instead of rice. All of it was tasty, and worth the trip. The price was right, and our server was efficient. The restaurant was clean. I do not have any idea what happened to bring the rating so low. I recommend this location - 2 thumbs up read more

Decided to stop by the friendly neighborhood grill, glad that I did. I haven't step foot in one in ages (approximately 6years). The overall experience was great, thanks to the friendly bartender. She provided expectational service and never once strayed from quality service. Half way through my meal, three gentlemen were trying to do some attempting to split the ticket in a very complicated way, she did as they stated and when they got the bill, they began to argue that she screwed it up and that she was at fault, she apologizes and walked them through their request and redid the bill. AMAZING!! Normally nowadays, servers just argue and take a defensive stance (which she has every right too; however, decided the smoother approach). When people around us food started to come out before us, she apologized and went to the back to see why our order was taking longer than the others. A few minutes followed and out came the food. I ordered the 'All-Day Brunch Burger' As it sat in front of me I was disappointed at its appearance and quickly suspected that it would be subpar. Nonetheless, to my surprise, it was a perfect blend of cheese, meat, hash brown taste. A colleague of mine, ordered a sirloin with mashed potatoes and he expressed the same thoughts, appearance wise not appealing and worrisome, however, filled with flavor and very tender according to him. Recommend this location as a quick beer and burger place! read more

I don't hold high regards for chain restaurants but this Applebee's is possibly one of the reasons why i try not to. Let's start with the service- we waited at a empty host station waiting to be seated for about 2 minutes. 2 minutes isn't that long but during dinner time...to leave the host station unattended, come on management. As for the food, everything came out burnt and steak came out medium rare when we asked for medium well. I know the cooks didn't graduate from CIA but how do you mess that one up? Servers? If you dislike your job that much, find another one, it's so obvious you would rather be elsewhere. Please, my food tastes so much better if you weren't scowling every time you came by reluctantly to ask how our food was... The only saving grace? Lots of space (due to tables not in use) and equally awesome parking because there aren't many cars. read more

If you like to have a few drinks with your dinner then DO NOT COME HERE. Apparently their "new rule" is to cut you off at your third drink. We had an appetizer and dinner and had 3 beers each over the course of 2.5 hours...chatting with our friends. We ordered a 4th beer and we were advised that "alcohol service is being cut off for us". We've been in there before and seen people hammered. We weren't loud or disrespectful to anyone...just playing the jukebox and hanging out with friends. We will NEVER go back. read more
