We got home from the Brownsburg Applebees around 9pm after being there for over an hour. It took about 10 minutes waiting for a table to be cleaned to be seated-even though there were empty tables available. I tried to view their QR Code for the allergy menu- epic fail to even find an allergy menu. I don't know how long we waited to give our order but it was more than 30 minutes to get our food which was tepid. But of course we had to ask for and wait longer for silverware. We had to also ask for the bucket of cleaning water to be moved from the ledge right over our table- that was also about 30 minutes while we waited for our food. After another customer waiting to be seated almost bumped it-it would have drenched our table and is. When my chicken arrived, it was dry and it looked like it had been sitting for a while. And they charged me $.25 for a little cup of barbecue sauce. Now I'm sick to my stomach and I'm not sure if it's from the food or being pissed off. Our bill was $51.15. I paid $51.16. Then I got the survey... "are you satisfied ... " I ran out of space to tell why I was extremely dissatisfied! I went out with coworkers, we showed up and ordered apps and drinks, although my drink was apart of the promotion they refused to honor it, told me i was mistaken, then refused to get me a number to call. I felt like I was in the twilight zone because they literally pointed at the promotional page and said yeah that's wrong (just for the one I wanted). After that the wait staff started neglecting my refills, left my dirty dishes on the table, and overall just started ignoring me, but only me out of my party, so bizarre. We went here for the All You Can Eat meals and were pleasantly surprised. I got the shrimp and the first two plates were fresh and hot! The third plate was what I called the 'hey we didn't think you'd eat so much, please stop' plate... Our first plates were presented nicely, the second had just a little less food on it.. Our third plates were just barely warm and I joked they threw a handful of the endless fries on the plate as an afterthought as it left the kitchen. We sat at the bar area and my husband even surprised me by sitting next to me in the booth. Our waitress was friendly and got our refills quickly, never letting my husband's tea glass be empty, which means a lot to him. I got the White Peach Sangria from high was huge as well as delicious! I ate all the fruit and even the ice before leaving! Very busy since it was Saturday and we were able to choose a table that was quieter away from the craziness at some of the other tables. Stopped at Applebees after going to the movies. It was close and I hadn't been in an Applebees forever. It wasn't very busy so we got seated and got our drink's quickly. Our server was very friendly. I wasn't expecting much but was mostly happy with my meal. We started with the spinach & artichoke dip which was good but the salsa and chips that came with were bland. I ordered the Tex Mex bowl with shrimp and enjoyed it. Grilled shrimp over rice with avocado salsa and veggies. It had a nice kick to it. We also ordered the Prime Rib Dipper and that was pretty tasty. It came in a cheddar roll and a side of French Au Jus sauce. Also a good size portion of fries. Applebees has a pretty varied menu including, steaks and burgers, salads, sandwiches etc. If you want something casual this is the place. read more

at 1:30 pm on October 14, 2026 we walked in right after another couple. nobody came to seat them or us. two people working with a dark haired gal behind the bar who yelled it would be a minute and she took drinks to a table and never came over, then the small blonde gal just looked at us and did not say anything and went in the back. the couple in front of us walked out. we waited about 5 more minutes and then we walked out. terrible service and a loss of two tables. there were about 5 tables occupied while we waited. manager needs to pay more attention to the job. read more

I swear that I have reviewed this place before but I have no idea where my review went. This restaurant has been in Brownsburg for a long time. Their food is always pretty good. They have a good selection on their menu. We have dined in and carried out many times. The staff if friendly and helpful. The most recent visit we had the all you can eat for $14.99. The choices were riblets, double crunch shrimp or boneless wings and bottomless fries. Great deal and you could mix and match. They need to do this often!! read more

The meal out tonight however was an attempt to have a celebration and a family meal out. Social distancing was practiced as was mask wearing. We were asked to wait outdoors while a table was prepared. Good thing the weather was warm and comfortable. A few sprinkles came right as the confirmation text arrived of our table opening. Accommodating needs for an infant, the kids meal came out ASAP and then our meals followed. We had just the right amount and even decided to share a triple fudge brownie. Wow was that good! What a horrible experience! my daughter and I stopped in there on our way to her radiation appointment in Indy. The hostess sat us on a booth where one side was broken. When my daughter sat down, she sat on a broken spring that felt liked it shot through her tailbone. She immediately jumped up and tears filled her eyes. The hostess could Not have cared less. My daughter asked to see a manager to explain what had happened. What resulted from that was a lady with no clue how to help us trying to get us to fill out paperwork. We really just wanted a table and to order. Finally got another booth and asked if we could please order. Manager took our order incorrectly. After a half hour in a nearly empty restaurant, we got out food, leaving us ten minutes to eat. We went ahead and asked for our bill and some to go boxes. We had no sooner paid than the woman who "waited" on us came over and told my daughter that none of this was her fault. She had apparently noticed we had left no tip (we always tip cash). She proceeded to ream at my daughter for yelling at her. We had not yelled at her at all. She disagreed. She continued to speak very loudly about how awful we were. Suffice it to say, we left horribly upset and we will never go there again. If her pain continues, we will be contacting corporate. A nice touch, though, we noticed that booth was NOW closed when we left. read more

We put in our order and it took over 30 minutes to get our salads and we had to ask for them to get them brought out. We waited another 20 minutes after we finished our salad and a manager walked by so we asked about our food since we didn't get any updates on the delay. We asked him if there was an issue since the table that sat after us got their food and appetizers already and he (Scott) was very rude and said he didn't know what to tell us since it showed on the ticket it wasn't that long. We didn't ask for free food or a discount nor did we want it. We were just curious about the delay. My son got the all you can eat and didn't get any of his food until the end and didn't have much time to eat or finish it. Not sure why she was late putting in our ticket but an apology would have went a long way. We probably would have even changed our son's order since we knew we only had about 2 hours to spend before having to be home. Sat at the completely empty bar for 8 minutes before a nice server from the other part of the restaurant acknowledged us. He said he would be our server but the bartender ended up taking over. I decided I wasn't hungry, or thirsty after all. If she can't be bothered with us, I can't bother with them. There were 2 tables of customers in the entire restaurant when we arrived. Yeah, I'm about to give Applebee's a good review. I'm as shocked as you are, seeing as how I'm "elite" and all. ;) Came to the Brownsburg location the other night with my girlfriend. Kinda late, around 10:00pm. We haven't been since they were doing the $1 cocktails in the before-times. More crowded than I've seen it this late before, but got seated quickly and served quickly. I ordered the new Bourbon Street mushroom burger, fries and went with the $1 5 boneless wing deal. She got apps and a salad. Knocking off one star because her salad greens seemed a little wilted and old. Her apps were fine though, nothing extraordinary. My burger, on the other hand... Wtf? This thing looks better in person than in the pictures. It was piping hot and remained so until I finished it. It was overflowing with melty cheese, onions and mushrooms. The bun was soft and good. Honestly, probably the best burger I've had in a sit-down restaurant since the pandemic started. It was better than Bru Burger, better than what I had at Kuma's before COVID believe it or not. I don't know if it was a fluke or what. Now, I know Applebee's isn't exactly known for fine dining, but it's not known to be terrible either. It's known for low effort, somewhat cheap, agreeable dinner out with processed food as are most chains. I don't care if it comes in a bag, heated up or what as long as it tastes good when I get it and they absolutely delivered. Will definitely go back and try another one! Me and my family tried experiencing dine in at Applebee's for the first time during this pandemic. I admit, we were excited to start getting back out there after months of not eating out. Applebee's was definitely a great choice to start off with, we did get one of our orders wrong but that was just a misunderstanding. Other than that little mishap, we were told we'd be waiting 20min and ended up just waiting for 10min, service and food was on point. All I can say is we left happy and full. We were seated right away. Our go to stop in the afternoon hours. Still have half price apps from 2 to 5. New waitress checked in multiple times and she did a great job. Got our drinks and food pretty fast. The February $1 drink, vodka strawberry lemonade, was good too! Hubby always gets the honey BBQ boneless wings. Their BBQ is the only one I really like. I always get the spinach artichoke dip and wonton tacos. Sometimes the tacos are filled a little better or worse depending on who does it I guess. read more

Seated quickly but had more than a normal wait for a waitress. When she arrived she was courteous and friendly. We haven't been to Applebee's in Brownsburg so we thought we would go. What a nice surprise. I had a steak, broccoli, mashed potatoes and tomato basil soup. All very good, with steak cooked perfectly! My husband had Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp and he liked. Came quickly. And we like lower calorie count which both were. Myself and 9 other staff and clients stopped in Applebees on May 18th at around 730pm. We had just been at the Brownsburg BWW and they were horrible, we wanted to move a table so that our group could sit together and BWW would not let us, they said it was their policy and it was to much of a challenge and the manager just suggested we go somewhere else to eat, we did, we went to Applebees in Brownsburg and we are glad we did. The Applebee's staff had no real challenge to move tables so that we could all sit together. The staff was awesome, they handles our large groups wonderfully. Our waitress kept our drinks full our food came out together and it was all warm and delicious. She got every order correct. We had a wonderful time and I am glad that the team at Applebees was not willing to shy away from what BWW called a real challenge. Keep up the good work Applebees!! read more

Applebee's was the go to place for us back in the late 90's - early 2000's. The food quality felt like it was degrading so we opted out for years. Ordered carryout....sirloin steak (medium rare), garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. Steak: more like medium than medium-rare...doesn't even have an appetizing color, light gray, huge piece of gristle that my knife wouldn't cut through. Mashed potatoes: bland in taste with a huge piece of unmashed potato in the mix Steamed vegetables: under-cooked I don't know how this company stays in business unless it's frequented by people that just don't know what good food is supposed to taste like. So an Applebees is an Applebees. The one nice thing I will say is they were doing a Dine to Donate for a child where a percentage of your meal went to a family so good for them on that. Our waitress just seemed annoyed or preoccupied from the moment we sat down. We ordered and my kid got a kids mean and she came out with a little coke. We asked her next time she came around if she could just bring her a large coke. You would have thought I asked her for a full body massage. I mean I could have just asked her to refill the drink 900 times I was just trying to be nice but whatever. The food came and it was hot :) I had the Thai Shrimp Salad which is good but they just put way too much dressing on it. The Beer cheese for the pretzel sticks is just not good. I am not sure what it is, just overpowering. Other than that it is what it is. She looked around the restaurant and said, "oh ummmm, yeah that would be like 45 minutes.....you could go somewhere else!" Family of four, easy to please-- we wanted to stop and eat on a trip home to Ohio. Restaurant was empty, but there was a line at the hostess stand. We were seated AFTER others who came after us. We tried to order drinks & food at the same time and were told we could, but they would have to wait to put the order in because two groups were in front of us. What? Went there for lunch with my wife and daughter on Monday January 3rd. The lady who seated us warned that they were busy but there were plenty of empty tables and booths throughout. We should have known something was very wrong when it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to show up at our table and take drink orders. Another 10 minutes for a couple of ice teas and a lemonade to be delivered. We placed simple lunch orders, a couple of burgers/fries and some chicken tenders. To make a long story short, we waited and waited, and waited, until we were about ready to get up and leave when finally our order arrived. The food was good (not great) and what you'd expect from Applebee's. When we were finished my wife asked for a box to take some of the chicken home. Again, waiting....waiting....waiting. Believe it or not I went to an Applebee's to have a decent deal with my wife on date night and did not get a beer with my meal despite ordering it twice. The beer was finally delivered when I literally had one bite left. The waiter blamed it on the bartender but I found that kind of hard to believe because we also asked him to wipe down the table and he said he would and he forgot to do that too.
