Brand new Apple Store in Markville Mall! I can't even believe my eyes. The store is huge, spacious and have every Apple products and accessories that I ever need. Since it is new and during summer break, a lot of students were here playing with all the demo units. There were enough staff on the floor but they all seemed to be busy with something?! I can see my Apple fanatic Yelp friend coming here for his batteries and other accessories.... And I just can drop by and play with the latest MacBook whenever I feel like!

The worst Apple Store in the GTA region. The geniuses here are useless. Just go to Fairview.

Just be sure to read return policy for some high value items (monitors, graphics card, motherboard) as they may differ than regular items. Service 3.5/5 Recently came back after a year or so as I only visit when I need electronics. It's too tempting otherwise as there is always something that I end up buying due to it being on sale. That being said, there have been times it was harder to find someone to help despite a lot of employees in the store. The gentleman by the cashier (Eric I believe his name was) is super helpful and knowledgeable. Apart from helping customers, he remembers them as well as their interests, which is what brought them to the store in the first place. One recommendation would just be to have the employees more proactive for when customers come in and be within the area in case the customer has questions while they're browsing around.

But my first (and last) service experience was a nightmare. Absolutely incompetent in PROCESS and in TECHNOLOGY. I took a laptop for data recovery, and they returned my SSD chip damaged. So, no data recovered, and the SSD drive was destroyed! See the details below: 1- Took it for recovery, and they said it has to be shipped to the HQ 2- Two months passed, and I had not heard back. So, went in and inquired. I was told that HQ was busy. I asked how long, and they said, "We don't know."? I asked them to call, but they had no calling ability! I asked them to cancel and request it back. 3- The laptop comes with the SSD in a separate case! The tech desk puts it in for me. 4- I go home, and the SSD is not recognizable 5- I take it back. The same person told me, "The HQ removed the chip from the SSD as part of the data recovery". So, I asked them to put it back. They had to send it back to HW for that "chip soldering." 6-another few weeks, and I get the same SSD back. They told me that it could not be fixed. I must have taken it somewhere else!!!! This wasn't done by them!!!! I am furious. But how do you reason with idiots? Any lawyers out there who want this case?

Its odd to see 20, 5 stars reviews thinking to myself what kind of experience is really going on? Here was mine. Starting with the kicker. I actually DO THIS type of work but i was extremely busy at the time and sent my wife. First Text. Asking about prices. No response. Call. Asked about prices and guarantees. Quotes one price at around 120. Take the laptop in person. Sent my wife because i was busy. Relying on this one man. Sees she have a workstation laptop, raises the hell outta the price to 200. Since I sent my wife and she handed it over oblivious. She comes back says it was 200 to resolder a freaking pin? Let me tell you it will take this man 5 mins to finish this task if hes good. 15 if he takes his time. The parts are literally in the dollar amount. Talking about 15 dollars tops and that's generous. Whats actually wrong with Toronto is people like him taking advantage of young people, college students, older people, and non tech savvy people like my wife. This guy absolutely, unequivocally, ripped me and my wife off. Here i am a year later writing this while taking her same laptop for guess what? Repair. Goodluck!

My review is for picking up a FedEx package from Zero PC…read more I originally had my package shipped to my address. I missed this delivery. I chose to have it delivered to a FexEx authorized pickup point on the same day, which ended up being at Zero PC. It's probably a good seven minutes away from my home. I drove here after work on a rainy Monday afternoon. I had no problem parking steps away from this business. It's in a plaza with a number of other businesses, from bubble tea, to a seafood business. I walked in an a friend man was working on a mid-tower computer. I had not seen one since I was a newly minted computer science graduate. I loved taking my mid-tower apart, and upgrading everything from the motherboard, to primary and secondary hard disk drives. It was nice to relive such memories. I don't miss the aggravation! I indicated that I had a FedEx package. He nodded and asked for my tracking number. I shared it with him. He then asked for my ID, so I provided my driver's licence. He was thorough checking that I was who I said I was. The last check was calling the phone number associated with my order. Sure enough, my cell phone rang and I showed it to him. I got my package. I thanked him and happily left the store with my goods. It was cool seeing a bunch of computer accessories. You can get corded and wireless mice. I heard that you now say mouses for more than one mouse for your computer or laptop, which sounds odd to me. It'll take a while to warm up to that standard. You can get practically anything here, from USB hubs, to headphones. It was nice stopping in a computer store to get my FedEx package. The man was nice and thorough, which I appreciated. (496)

I recommend Zero PC for anyone looking to have a computer built for them. They are true…read moreprofessionals, provide exceptional quality and have excellent customer service. I heard about Zero PC through a family friend when I inquired about having a gaming computer built for me. Although I must admit I was a little hesitant based on first impressions of both their website and very minimalist store appearance, I am extremely pleased that I did place my faith and trust in this store. The experience was extraordinary from start to finish. The store is very bare-bones, with shelves lining the walls filled with products and components. There are a couple of work tables and stations and there were two people in the store both times I visited. It isn't much to look at, but they work for function, quality, and the appearance of their products, not the fancy appearance of their store. The employee who assisted me was very well-versed in the computers they build and asked all the right questions to determine the computer that would best suit my needs. His name was Jackie, I feel it necessary to commend him on his service, as it is one I will fondly remember. He was fantastic, super understanding, patient and knowledgable. He explained the differences between the available motherboards and graphics cards, how different forms of storage function, and what hardware would work best to achieve my end goal. There are a dozen different standard builds that they offer, all of which cater to a different level of both gaming power and aesthetics. They offered to switch or upgrade individual parts based on my needs, along with a range of cases. If they don't have something you want, they will order it for you. Let me also mention that the pricing is unbelievable. When I searched for each component to build the computer I chose. To build the same rig myself: assume I would order from a slew of different online retailers to obtain the lowest prices, also assume I would be willing to wait up to a month for each part to be delivered, finally that I would somehow YouTube enough build tutorials to correctly assemble the computer, the consistent price difference between the components and the offered store price was roughly $50 for the three different builds I considered. It took 3 days for the computer to be built and I received a phone call when it was ready to be picked up. Upon arriving at the store it was explained that the basic case was unavailable, so they upgraded it for free. The case is super cool with magnetic dust collecting panels on the top and front of the case which makes it easy to clean. The one side is glass and exposes the neat cable management and the base model LED lights of the internals. I wasn't interested in LED lights but the soft red glow is definitely a bonus. They took the time to plug in and start the computer in front of me (seconds for the start time, an amazing upgrade from the 1 minute my old PC took!) and showed the specs, along with a few programs they installed themselves to make my life easier which they asked me about when I ordered the computer. All the original boxes and warranty information was also provided. I was told if there were ever any problems to contact them and they will immediately assist and fix whatever the problem is. The customer service was exceptional, the experience was simple and pleasant, and I received an amazing computer. I was so happy I chose this place and absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a computer but don't have the knowledge, patience or time to build one themselves. Thank you Zero PC, and thank you Jackie and to the hardworking team!

Beware of VERBAL ABUSE!!!…read more I am extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at Mobile Square and I feel other customers should be aware. I first visited the store last week during lunch time because my iPad was experiencing frequent crashing issues. During that visit, one of the technicians was already impatient when I asked questions and tried to get clarification about the problem. Despite the poor attitude, I left my iPad with them for diagnosis, hoping the technical expertise would make up for the customer service. When I picked it up, a different technician explained that the crashing issue had been temporarily resolved and that the underlying problem was a damaged power management IC. I was advised to use an original Apple charger moving forward. After returning home and following those instructions, I discovered that my iPad would not charge, even with an original Apple charger. Concerned that the issue had not actually been resolved, I returned to the store the following week. Unfortunately, that second visit was far worse. A third technician with glasses, who had not been involved in my previous visits, immediately came across as dismissive and unprofessional when I was trying to ask for clarity. While the previous technician was attempting to explain the situation to me, he repeatedly interrupted the conversation and treated me with open hostility. After I confronted with him of his rude behavior and attitudes, he then proceeded to call me a "B!TCH" and even said "F@CK YOU" directly to my face. I was stunned. I came in seeking help with a device and instead was subjected to verbal abuse from a staff member. No customer should ever be spoken to this way under any circumstances. This behavior and attitude were completely unacceptable. Technical issues can happen. Repairs may not always work. All I wanted was clarification to understand the issue better. What customers should be able to expect, however, is professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. Based on my experience, this business failed on all three. I cannot recommend Mobile Square to anyone. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly consider taking your business elsewhere.

This requires certain work around to be able to achieve full functionality of the replaced part. Well you can go see a genius and have them tell you that they need close to $1000 to fix it. I think not! I decided to find a good component level repair person. I did a bunch of looking around and decided to call James Wu at Unitak Laptop Repair. After communicating with him over email, I decided to trust my MacBook Pro15 Retina to him and also took my MacBook Air 11 as well. I've suffered a lot of Apple Loss this year. An iPad lost it's wifi and iPhone7 lost it's microphone (Apple, in an internal memo agreed to fix their blunder but decided not to do it after all - check out MacRumors site about it) and the aforementioned notebooks. Ugh...these things didn't really happen with Jobs was on the job! James agreed to meet me at the Parkway Shoppes store which he rents a room at K&J Camera Services. The little room cluttered with notebook pieces and equipment littered everywhere had me a little uneasy but after a quick talk with him and witnessing how quickly he broke down the the 15" notebook and tested it - I knew I came to the right place. He told me that the graphics chip wasn't gone and proceeded to explain the process. I asked him to proceed and also asked him to replace the screen on the Air 11. As quick as I was checking my phone for messages and such, he took the whole Air apart and replaced the screen with a spare unit he had. I think it took a whole 15mins to do that repair. I left the Pro with him and the next day, I got back the notebook as if nothing had happened to it. He was really fair with his prices and I now have a place to get all my notebooks serviced for me and my clients. I got both notebooks repaired for HALF of repairing just ONE! Don't bother with the Genius Bar - where they want you to replace the whole circuit board (easy repair), take it to the True Genius at Unitak! Anyone who knows me professionally knows that I am not easily impressed by tech peeps. I am very impressed with James. CHEERS!
