From the outset of visiting this store I have found the colleagues very helpful. I am new to Apple products and my neighbour recommended them. Nothing was too much trouble and they did not try and sell me products that would not be suitable for me. I have an Apple watch, iPhone and iPad and am very pleased with them. I went in with some minor problems with my 2022 MacBook - and now have a nightmare to deal with. They recommended backing up and resetting the computer. So I backed up with Time Machine on a new external hard drive - and lo and behold I haven't been able to use this to set up the MacBook again! Not enough room on the MacBook! There was no indication that there might be any risk, even though I told them of seeming to have more data in the backup than in the original hard drive. I took it back to the store - they were not helpful - all they could suggest was starting again, abandoning all my applications, my Mail folders, my settings...This is not good enough. They took no responsibility for the very poor advice given. DO NOT TAKE THEIR ADVICE WHEN THERE IS ANY POSSIBLE RISK TO YOUR DATA. read more

Appalling service from the in store at Churchill square, tech support on phone and after care from managers. No apologies, no replies to complaints written, no acknowledgement of the situation despite being updated several times. Apple seem to think as a brand and service they can treat customers as they wish. Hope I never have to use this store again. Very disappointed. read more

As a brand, Apple is known for extravagance for producing beautiful stores across the world, just look at London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, the list continues... and that's just in Europe, this is why mall locations of Apple sometimes lack compared to others, this branch here in Brighton is an example of that, and it is possibly even worse than that. Now I'm a big fan of Apple, I wear my airpods with pride and have recently purchased an iPhone XS Max after getting a very good deal on Amazon, making it much cheaper than any other retailer including Apple themselves! (Sadly, they still cost a lot more in the UK though with a difference of £281.27 at current exchange rates for the phone I have at the moment. The store its-self is pretty small by Apple standards, so it does feel a little cramped. Even the sign going into the store was smaller and not as prominent and bold as other locations, it felt like any ordinary tech store in that sense. They did have a satisfactory selection of the latest Apple products. The staff also didn't meet the high standards set by Apple in the past, I wasn't greeted as I have been in virtually every Apple Store I've been to in the past from Manchester to Barcelona, Berlin to Liverpool. A nice brand to have in Brighton in Churchill Square, however, and without it, the city would be at a huge, still a poor store for Apple standards in terms of size of key areas you associate with the Apple Store including demo areas, Today at Apple and Genius Bar, and the staff. 2* read more

We get approached by the workers who always go the extra mile to provide us with more information on the products. I got into a conversation with a friendly worker over which iphone was better! It is usefully located in the Churchill Square shopping centre, so it is easy to get to. Overall, if you live in the East Sussex region and you use Apple products, this is the place for you! Worst customer service experience I've ever received. We turned up early for an appointment with the tech support. Was told to wait 10 minutes. After 30 minutes we were told that because we hadn't been checked in our appointment had been cancelled. You've lost my personal business along with my corporate business. I love Apple products and have exclusively used a Mac laptop since 2005 and an iPhone for the last 5 years. But this isn't a review about the products, rather, the service and the experience at this particular location! You see, after ambling around the charming cafes, shops, and beaches of Brighton, I had successfully seen a lot of the sights but rather unsuccessfully maintained a charge on my iPhone 5s. I had a pretty good idea of where my hotel was located but having that extra bit of GPS insurance was preferable... the Apple Store to the rescue! The clock had just struck 18:00 and the Apple Store was effectively closed. BUT a kind and bighearted staffer named Matt allowed me to convince him to charge my phone to 20%. We chatted about his short stint at the Cupertino, CA location (I live in San Francisco), his adoration for the sea, his love for Santa Cruz, and a cool neighborhood in Brighton that reminds him of the Haight. Matt only kicked me out once it was no longer possible for me to stay an extra second. Thanks to my 25% charge (yay!), I was able to walk back safely and without confusion. The Apple Store can sometimes be a little hit and miss. On occasions, I have been staggered by the great customer service I have received here. These guys and gals are called Apple Geniuses (Genii??) for a reason. In the past, they have helped me sort out many a problem with my MacBook, IPhone etc etc - being a non-techie, there have been a few! Consequently, when I needed to update my IPhone recently I decided to come here as opposed to the O2 store. Unfortunately, they were really busy on the day that I went in, and the guy that helped me was a little lacking in basic product knowledge which was a bit of a surprise. I got what I wanted eventually but not without a trip to the O2 store downstairs and a phone call to O2 customer services. Also, the O2 store was pretty much empty when I popped in so I wish I had made it my first port of call on this occasion. I will, of course, be back to the Apple Store, it's just too shiny and geeky to avoid! read more

Pretty much the same as any Apple Store across the country really. I tend to avoid in the afternoons, during school holidays, and weekends (which is most of the time I guess) because it's always chock full of people hunching over the iPads/iPhones/iMacs/Macbooks etc checking their facebook accounts/emails/taking selfies as if the Apple Store is the local library. Because of this it's quite hard to get a decent look at the products and get advice. I end up buying things online because of this. I have had to use the genius bar a few times over the years and I have to say the service has been nothing short of excellent. If you own any Apple products, Apple Care really is worth the money! read more

Are you a Mac or a PC? I'm a Mac girl! I bought my first one over a decade ago and I've never looked back. If my iPhone broke tomorrow, I feel re-assured I could walk into the Apple Store, make an appointment at the Genius Bar and get some 19 year old wizard to fix it. If my PowerBook broke and I needed to check my email in a hurry, I love the fact I can stroll into the Apple Store and check it with no-one bothering me or trying to do something distractive - like sell me a new computer. Having said all that, I don't particularly love this Apple Store. The way it's laid out with rows and rows of desk-top and laptop computers on wooden tables reminds me of Wagamamas. The only difference is, where there should be people eating big bowls of noodles, rice and soup, there's just more and more computers. It's a bit too soul-less and 1984. read more

The Apple Store really is an impressive setup. The staff are bouncing with energy and so very knowledge about their store's products. The one thing that is a bit frustrating is that you have to make an appointment in advance if you need help rather than just walking in. That being said, once you do get seen you really do get top notch service. read more

You book an online session after purchasing a product then you wait for them to call, and you wait, and you try again and still you wait........and then you see a message that you have no appointment!! and that you never have had one even though you can clearly see an e-mail stating that you have one. I went to the apple store today in brighton to sort the problems with my Iphone I was told to try to sort it out at home on my own computer! Even though I told them I no longer have a computer or Internet as comp broke and just moved so I'm unable to do it ! Then the lady said she could fix it turned my IPhone off then on again and that was it!!!!! Brill service NOT!!! I am going to ring the manager in the morning and have a moan cos the more I think about it the more it annoys me!! read more

Terrible store - it has to be zero stars. But it won't accept the review if I don't give it one star! My complaint has still not been resolved after two months! I originally bought my Apple iPhone from the car phone warehouse in Brighton. I had the phone a few weeks and callers were unable to hear me. I was told that I had to back up my phone to protect the contents which I did. I made a first visit and was served by Phil. He put the phone back to its original settings. At this point, all photographs and music was still on there. I returned to the store and as the calls were no better, the phone was replaced. He started the process to transfer the data to the new phone and said that this would continue after I left the store. All seemed fine with the phone but to my astonishment only 6 photos were left from about 60 or so!! I made another rather tense visit to the store and spoke to Gwynn. He said I hadn't backed up the data. My argument was that this should have been checked by Apple before transferring the data which he was reticent to acknowledge. I took this up with another team and spoke to Neil in Newcastle who checked the system over a couple of weeks and the data had not been backed up. To date I am still waiting for a manager at the Apple Store to call me back after asking for this on two separate occasions and my request for compensation has fallen on deaf ears. Absolutely appalling service because I have lost photos of family and friends going back around 6 years. read more

Has anyone studied how Apple does it? How they are so achingly, effortlessly cool without being snooty? Someone has, I'm sure. I LOVE going in the apple store and I have to walk through horrible Churchill square to get there! And I don't own anything by Apple except a first generation ipod- still going strong by the way, great quality! I love the brightness of it, their lighting designer is a genius, the whole place glows a friendly warm glow. I love that I can go in and try things out without being immediately hassled, and when a salesperson does come up, they mostly want to show you a cooltrick or short cut- you are allowed to play! This kind of soft sell works- next laptop I buy will be an Apple no hesitation. They can also answer any question you can throw at them and most of the time can fix any problems or kit you out with anything you need in store. Any problems I know that I can go back and be helped in a non judgemental way. It might be all Apple Stores or just this one but it has been a very bad experience and we won't buy an Apple product. My husband and I are of a certain age when gadgets need to be explained a little more carefully to us(!). My husband went into the Apple Store Bright yesterday to spend a £500 Apple voucher. He wanted a new Ipad as his old one was dated and didn't have 3G. He has limited use for an Ipad, eg, reading newspapers and books and occasional emails. He had forgotten his gmail password so couldn't access emails on the new equipment. The so called Genius bar was anything but as he didn't know how to retrieve his password. Isobelle (the Genius on that day) was busy talking to friends and helping another 15 customers who were all in the same sort of boat. She could not and would not explain to my husband what he needed to do and obviously didn't care either. Net result: we walked out of the store having paid £635 with a machine which wasn't fully functioning. Good enough sales techniques but bad after sales service. Thanks Isobelle read more
