Titles: Nunah nunah nunah nunah Mac Man!…read more Narration: In Brighton city something evil is afoot. Can Mac-Man and Robin save the day? Let's find out. Robin: "Holy Mackrel Mac-Man, there's a young lady in distress!" Mac-Man: "Have no fear Robin, Mac-Man is on his way." [Cut to Mac-Man consoling a young lady on a bench at the local Library.] Mac-Man: "... so what you're saying is you're Mac laptop isn't working and you don't know what to do." Distressed lady: "Yes. If only there were someone who could fix my laptop on-site and perhaps offer some kind of training program where I could learn how to put right such problems in future." Robin: [Turns to Mac-man dramatically] "Sizzling circuits Mack-Man, looks like she's in luck." Mac-Man: "That's right Robin. With my expansive knowledge of Apple technology I offer a range of services, from home visits, where I'll try to fix you're Mac on-site, to training courses ranging from basic operations to advanced technical issues." Distressed lady: "Wow. That's perfect." Robin: [Interrupts] "...say no more pretty lady..." Mac-Man: "...let's just call it Mac justice!" [Cut to credits: nunah nunah nunah nunah Mac-Man!]

God bless The Mac Man!…read more When my Powerbook died last week, The Mac Man came to my rescue and saved it. They picked it up, took it home to Worthing with them, digged around inside and declared it needed more RAM and the system re-installing. They brought back it a few days later and it now runs like clockwork. The icing on the cake, is the fact they talked me through all the options without baffling me with technical descriptions. Oh and they also did all this for a bargain price. Like I said, God bless The Mac Man! As well as repairs and installation, they offer Mac training and support across Sussex and Dorset and lots of tips and problem solving solutions.

Game at Brighton's Churchill Square is a fairly average branch of the chair in terms of looks, it…read moreis the only branch Game has now in Brighton centre, as it seems they closed down their Western Road store a good while ago now. The selection is okay, it isn't great, this is especially shown by a mobile phone section which seemed smaller than any Game store I've visited, which is probably down to Game offering really poor prices for mobile phones compared to recyclers like Mazuma Mobile. Example: I have an iPhone X 256gb which is unlocked. Game offer £405 Three and O2 offer £415 (with price match to Mazuma Mobile) Music Magpie offer £490 Mazuma Mobile Offer £515 As you can see there is a considerable difference between the Game price and the price offered by other retailers, which I feel is also having a knock-on effect on phones being traded in, the phones then sold here seemed to be at highly inflated prices. The selection for games was okay at best, there wasn't a console on deep which 99% of other GAME stores I've visited in the past from Manchester to Sheffield, and many more seem to have. 1* - Selection isn't up to scratch and the same can be said for trade-in and selling prices.

You'll find PS3 games, Xbox games, Pc games, games for the Wii and DS, as well as Ipods, consoles, console accessories, and some game walkthrough guides. The preowned games section here is ok, and as in other Game stores, you'll find retro PC games available, with a special offer retailing them at 3 for £10. Staff are knowledgeable and professional.

I use these guys a lot even after they opened the big Apple store in the laines. The staff are so…read morehelpful and can explain things in non-techy dialogue. I had to update the RAM on my PowerBook and was quite daunted at the prospect of doing it but the guys here literally gave me a price for the memory, took the machine from me and within 10 minutes I had a faster laptop. I also asked how much they would charge to completely sort the drives out and they very honestly advised me on a piece of software to buy and to do it myself - it was half the price. I can't see any authorised Mac dealer being cheaper than buying hardware straight from one of their own stores but in terms of repairs and solutions, these guys are great. Also, in regards to trying out new Apple products, its a lot easier getting a member of staff to show you how the products work in here as the official Mac shop is usually rammed at the weekend.

If I needed advanced help with anything mac-related Cancom is probably the first place I'd go. They…read morestock all the appropriate products including chargers, external drives and memory sticks so, if you're in a spot of bother, their wide stock and expertise will usually sort you out. It's true that a trip to eBay will probably save you money however, if you're stuck for time and need a solution pronto Cancom is a reliable a valuable resource. As they tend to over charge, I'd only recommend it as a last resort or if you really don't trust online bidding sites. They also offer computer repairs, so if your hard drive decides to go berserk it's worth giving it to Cancom's experienced staff. There's definitely something comforting about leaving your precious computer in the hands of someone with the apple logo on their shirt.
