After going to Apple Greenwich (terrible), and 3 Verizon stores who all told me that was the end of my phone- it could not be charged and told me to buy a new one right then and there... I didn't give up because how could I? Now if you ever had a 'last voice mail' from a loved one on a phone, you would know why I did not give up. Tim listened to me and really tried his hardest to get my phone to charge. He is a true miracle worker. 30 minutes later he returned from the back with my phone fully working and it has been working perfectly fine for a month now! Overall I had a positive experience at this Apple store. I made an appt for a hardware issue I was having with my iPhone. The store was slightly busy, but there was l space for me and my kids to sit and wait. I appreciated the phones on the table that had little kids games on them. This helped my kids stay occupied while I spoke to the tech. I had to wait about 10mins from my appt time before someone came to help me with my phone. It wasn't too bad of a wait. The only thing that I didn't understand was that I had someone greet me and escort me to a waiting table, then another person come and have me do some simple steps before a tech came to help me, and then finally a 3rd person who came to work on my phone. It just didn't seem efficient to have to explain the issue to so many people. Not necessarily something negative, but I just didn't understand the reasoning behind that. Zooey the tech was nice and knowledgeable. My phone was fixed and ready by the time they told me it would be, which was definitely appreciated. I did notice on the screens in the store that they have classes for kids and adults in the store as well. I thought that was pretty cool. I will definitely look into them in the future. read more

Been here twice both for screen replacement. First time around definitely not a pleasant experience as was told it would take 30 minutes to replace the screen over the phone yet when I dropped off the phone they said it take about one hour. After waiting almost 2 hours I left the phone there till the next day. Also I was told they would have temporary replacement phones but once at store they said they don't have that option at that store but suggested, I should just purchase a new one and then return it. (I didn't do that.) Second time around Booked the first or second appointment in the next morning. They said it Would take about one hour to fix. , I left the mall and within 20 minutes received a text saying my phone was finished. Just very inconsistent in this aspect. read more

This by far the worst Apple Store in the country. The stuff is not flexible at all even is simple matters. I had an appointment for repairing a broken glass back of my daughter's iPhone 14 that takes hours to repair so knowing this I arrived 1h later because I had an emergency at work with the expectation to just wait a bit to drop it off and pick it up the next day as usual (if you have 3 kids you know how it is to get the phone for repair and they brake it often) but Damian on the reception couldn't be more unwilling to help. No we can't help you or wait, just leave and book another appointment if you can't come in 1h because we are busy! The store on a Friday 2pm was almost empty by the way.... I am an Apple fun boy for 20 years since there was no iPhones around but this a first time i visit an Apple Store with such a bad customer service. read more

Worst experience ever at Genius Bar @applesonocolletion My watch started to have an issue after the warranty run out. They won't even try to figured out what is the issue, They have to send your device and the repair cost is $399, no matter what is wrong with it. I told them if you gonna charge me that amount I need to know what exactly was the issue, I don't think is fair tried to charge $$$ without even take a look of the device. Its totally a joke and an insult to my intelligence. Love the products, and the service. Enough people walking around to help you, no cash registers, but you simply pay by iPhone... and with the application you can even do it yourself. Went in 2 months ago for an Apple Watch 4 that was not holding a charge and getting hot. A rep there (Seema I believe) ran diagnostic and confirmed battery was a dud- sent it out. Somehow Apple thinks it's acceptable to replace a 399 dollar watch with a USED device- instead of giving me credit toward a new watch. Bad service Apple- not cool. read more

After going to both T mobile and ubreakifix, I was told it was out of warranty and I had to go to the Apple store for repairs. They thought it needed an expensive repair. I wanted a new phone and I was walking through SoNo Collection and I saw Apple. I went in and they had great service and they even let me play the Arcade area before they got the phone from the back. I can not believe what just happened to me at the Apple Store in Stamford CT. On Dec. 18 I purchased from I think Rich an iPhone XR, Belkin clear screen, and an iPhone clear case. They were a Christmas present for my wife. When we opened the box for the Belkin screen protector yesterday the 25th there was nothing inside. I took it back to the Apple store today Dec 26 and spoke to the store manager, Andy and he said that was a Belkin product not there own so he would do nothing for me even though we bought it from the Apples store along with the phone and case. So I guess by his reasoning there should be a sign on the door advising customers that if they do not inspect the box they my get an empty one. BTW there was not reason to look at the screen protector because you assume it is simply a clear screen. I have always been a little more trusting of an Apple store but no now. I have stopped payment and when I get more time will contact Connecticut consumer services and file a complaint. You would be better off using Amazon or Best Buy. read more

Writing this a year late but just remembered how frustrating my experience was- because the effects are still prominent. Brought my computer in to get my trackpad fixed- randomly stopped working, took a couple of days but when it was given back to me my entire keyboard wasn't working. Had to return it, and then the trackpad and keyboard worked, but the charger port demagnetized and now is extremely frustrating to use. I have to play around with the charger for it to connect. My trackpad is also not being as responsive as I know it should be. read more

I enjoy Apple computers and products. They are not my only machines, but I have an iPhone, and an Apple laptop. So with that in mind, I truly mean it when I say this is the worst Apple store I have ever come across. The employees that I encountered were rude, uninformed, and down-right aggressively ignorant. I came in with a graphical/display issue on my macbook pro. An issue that is mirrored on another external monitor, but they claimed it was the display and I would need to pay to have it replaced. I pointed out the small-to-none likelihood that both displays (one of them being Apple's own diagnostic display) having issues. This is in addition to the fact that they recently (less than three months ago) had to replace my motherboard because of a faulty graphics card (GeForce 8600M GT). As per their own guides they should have taken my Macbook and run extensive diagnostics to determine the faulty component, and if it was still a chipset issue, replaced it under warranty due to the previous repair work (within 90 days) Instead they insulted my intelligence, and basically all but called me a liar. I enjoy and often have faith in my Apple products, and would recommend Apple mobile devices above other manufacturers and platforms. That said, if you want to go to an Apple store, go to the Greenwich or New York City stores, and avoid the Stamford Apple store at all costs. If you can't do anything but go to the Stamford store, get a Dell instead. read more

So I love apple products. Really, I do! The thing I like most about this store is that it's convenient for me and the employees at the Genius bar really help you out. I had an incident where my cat decided to make my macbook her little nest and every time she stretched her claws, they would hook onto the keys and break them off the keyboard. I went in to the apple store and explained my situation, they told me it would run around $200 for a new keyboard but to bring it in so they could look at it anyway. Brought it in the next day, left it overnight and came out with a brand new keyboard. For free. The only gripe I have about this place is that it's super crowded during the "rush hour" and the employees stand there like idiots while you wait for someone to help you out. All of the male employees hit on the attractive girls like creeps and seem to form little cliques where they all talk to each other and watch the customers. This store really needs to overlook their staff and get rid of the people who sit around and get paid to do nothing. read more

I think it's time you guys get off your butts and start Yelping, jeez! Anywhoo. The Apple Store opened in the Stamford mall a couple of years ago, and I'm so happy for that! There are always a gazillion salespeople ready and willing to help you, which is nice because this store is always crowded. Somehow, even though it's crowded, I always manage to get out of here fast and with what I wanted. I've purchased my MacBook Pro from here, my iPhone, some speakers, an iTrip, iPhone case, software, etc. They've always had what I needed in stock. When I've had a problem with my laptop, I simply took it in to the store and was helped immediately and the problem was solved in just a few minutes. I love service like this! read more

The worst Apple Store I've ever visited. Only 1 person working the Genius Bar (and it wasn't a space issue). Was finally offered help 30 minutes after my appointment time. All the while, 3 employees handled walk-ins while 7 red shirted employees wandered around the store chatting with each other and looking at their own phones. When I finally spoke to the person at the Genius Bar, I was told that my repair was expensive and that it made more sense to buy a new computer. When I asked if I could get some help with selection, I was told no and they recommended the chat on Apple.com. If I knew exactly what I wanted, I could buy it right then and there, but if I had questions regarding one versus the other? No one had time for that. read more

Completely crowded and understaffed considering the massive demand for Apple products. While the store should suffice if you're a casual consumer looking for some iPhone/iPod accessories, the place really starts to fall apart if you go in for the "Genius Bar" bullet point on all Apple products. If you make a reservation on Concierge the chances are you'd still have a fifteen to thirty minute wait and if they can't find an immediate solution to your problem your best bet would be to come in another day when your problem gets much worse. The biggest problem I have here is that if you have an issue, they want you to replicate it on the spot. Fair enough but usually with my luck my laptop pulls a Michigan J. Frog and acts normally in the store and then completely breaks down as soon as I reach home. Usually if a problem is REALLY bad, they'll just tell you to call up Apple's support line, which makes the entire trip a waste of time. The Apple company's customer service is good enough where they can replace you're iPod at the slightest malfunction but the real holes start to show when you get to more complicated issues. Its still a good place but I've been to better managed, less crowded Apple Stores in New York City...and Stamford is no New York. read more

I'd made an appt online this morning for 5pm to get my computer checked out by the "Geniuses" b/c it was running slowly... I arrived at the mall way ahead of schedule today so decided to stop in to see if they could take me earlier. After pleasant interactions with 2 employees on the way in, the "Concierge" was able to get me an appt with a "Genius" almost immediately, leaving me 10 mins to browse the new IPhones, etc. A couple employees answered some random questions I'd had about iPhones and iHomes while I waited without pressuring me to purchase. Once I sat down at the "bar" with the Geniuses my problem was solved within in 15 minutes and I walked out feeling like I'd had a seamless and positive Mac experience.... yet again! I'll definitely go back for help again, but keep in mind a reservation is key, and you can't always expect to get in early like I did. Overall..Props to Apple for a smooth system of customer service in a chaotic seeming store buzzing with customers and technology. read more

Oh Stamford Apple store. Must you be so small? Must your genius bar be... the size of my mini bar in my apartment? (just kidding!). The place is crowded because it's popular. What can I say! Sometimes, it's so popular, you're standing there with an item in your hand, ready to pay. Sure, there's the apple store app on the iphone that allows you to pay from there... but what if my phone's out of battery? (which sometimes it is...). Wish that apple could just buy the next block over and expand their store! Just a heads up: A lot of the genius bar appointments, especially on the weekends, are for before the garage and the whole mall opens. Please make sure to ask the apple store for specific directions on where to enter to get into the mall and go to the apple store for your genius bar appointment. I had a rough time getting there. Either way, the service is pretty awesome (when they're somewhat busy) and they're usually pretty approachable people. read more

I think that this Apple location is missing the point of being an Apple store: They lost the class the apple stores and Apple products try to present. I mean they do well since the place is packed most of the time, but it must be followed by professional staff, that actually love Apple and know a lot (if not everything about apple products). I found myself waiting for 40 minutes!! Yes, 40 minutes for someone to come and help us choose a MacBook. And when a young (Very young) man came to help us, we could tell that he just don't know enough about apple MacBook to give us a serious and a professional advice. At the end we left, feeling very disappointed. Especially Chris some short white guy with a beard straight up lied to me with whoever his "manager" is and told me that if I were to purchase a gift card on the Apple site that it would show up fairly quickly in my email and of course I'm sitting here wasting valuable time, might have to come back, absolute crap. Then the wait when I even came in here was to say the least, time consuming. Then I'm sitting here and they act like some random person on a payroll for a company, told the lady I had conversation with on Apple.com that I would be the one picking up the phone for my boss. You think then they would tell you not to bring my bosses card and organize with my boss differently. They act like I would come here with this lady's card and phone ready to lose my job. The amount of time I have spent in here makes me question my employment standings. Now I'm about to go back to the office and look like I just used her card to purchase an Apple gift card for myself when I'm waiting for an email to save the day. I have been even in the Greenwich branch and it was a much more enjoyable experience. I'm fairly content to wreak havoc on my bank account at this store. I am a huge fan of Apple products, I always have been. It's nice that we Apple fans have a place to go locally to either get our fix or to get help. The Genius bar is amazing, the employees there are overly helpful. The sales floor, while generally fairly crowded, is at no loss for salespersons who are more than happy to help at any point in the process. If I am not mistaken, they do not work on commission, which is why I am even more impressed by their willingness to assist. If they keep making me happy, I'll keep coming back. read more
