I had PC richard come out a year later to remove the washer & dryer from the pedestals and they told me the hoses wouldnt reach if I removed the pedestal. Horrible,disgusting and cringeworthy customer service experience. What could have been an easy return took almost 25 mins. Nobody wanted to help and if they did it was apparently by vanishing into the back of the store twice leaving me feeling uncomfortable. Had to endure two awkward sessions of two different people examining the same return item top to bottom for 5 minutes each. I called ahead and was asked about there return policy. I was reassured that so and so would take care of it when I arrive. Apparently they used someone else's name and that person wasn't even at the store. I called the store to see if they had a stacking kit for my Bosch washer/dryer because it was going to take me about 45 minutes to get there and I wanted to make sure they had it before I made the trip. The man I spoke with was having another conversation the entire time he was speaking with me, but did confirm they had what I needed. When I got there, he was still talking to someone else in his bluetooth earpiece and he almost sold me the incorrect stacking kit because he wasn't paying attention to the measurements, which are obviously important. He then pulled up the correct item and said he would have to order it for me. I told him that I could have easily ordered it online myself, I called to confirm it was in stock and then drove 45 minutes because I needed it sooner than it could be delivered. He said he didnt hear me say that, probably because of the earpiece conversation he was more focused on than the one he was having with me. He walked in the back for a few minutes, then came out and said they had one in stock but he couldnt find it. I made the 45 minute trip for nothing which is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. He wasnt paying attention, wasnt helpful, wasnt apologetic. Mostly just seemed annoyed that i asked him to do his job for a few minutes. read more

They told us conflicting statements, between the manager and the workers. they said they would take the old fridge out and put a new one in. not hard, right? for a $800 sale. before they came into the house they said they won't do it. then we called the manager and he said they will do it for $50. okay, then they came up and said it was "too dirty" meanwhile, we spent all morning cleaning it out. it doesn't have cooties for gods sake. they were just lazy assholes sorry for my French. they were mean before they even stepped into the house. They took off in their truck and didn't do a thing. do not use this service they are not reliable in what they say or say they're gonna do. then they get there and want to charge you for something they said they were gonna do and then didn't even take it out. this is coming from two disabled people, what are WE supposed to do?! and we killed ourselves cleaning it out all morning. The sales person was Andy he was great with all the information, I needed to know about the financing and the delivery. The delivery was great the driver was #812 his name was Brian. couldn't be nicer and caring. I just went back to purchase a new washer and the salesperson I worked with was Marco again really great with the information again the delivery was flawless the same guys came back. Purchased a refrigerator recently for which I was charged a $185 'installation' fee for new plumbing and a new water line. I told the salesman and his manager that this was unnecessary since there was an existing water line but I was reassured that it would be refunded if no work was needed. The delivery guys disconnected my existing water line and replaced it with a new one. I went back to the store for a refund but was offered a $50 refund by John. I was willing to pay $50 and expected to be refunded $135 since other stores (i.e., Best Buy) charge $25 for such a service. John declined and I was unable to return the refrigerator because it was already delivered and no longer in its original packaging. So I paid an extra $200 for someone to disconnect and reconnect a hose, albeit a new one. I guess its always Buyer beware. Keep the extra $200, John. Difficult to overstate how well PC Richards (Norwalk) handled my appliance purchase. I called PC Ricahrds to have a washer/dryer delivered and installed overnight. I had been given the run-around by the Home Depot for more than a month. Their delivery service FGO logistics bungled my delivery and was very dishonest and disrespectful. This is a rental unit so my tenants were getting impatient that they were out of a W&D for over a month. I called PC Richards and spoke with Mark Murray. From our phone conversation, Mark chose a W&D with all add-ons, had it delivered and installed within TWO days. He was always helpful, patient and knowledgeable. One more thing: PC Richards also has their own delivery and installation guys so you're never given the run-around by a third party You're asking for problems if you pass up PC Richards to go elsewhere and you'll probably end back up at PC Richards, anyway. We needed to replace our gas range. I first tried Home Depot but couldn't get anyone to help me. Then I went to Best Buy. It took about 15 minutes to get help. They didn't have what I needed and I was told it would take about a month to get it. P.C. Richard was my next stop. Marco (the sales rep) greeted me within less than a minute of entering the store and it took him about 5 minutes to find what I needed on his computer (size, color, features). It was delivered less than one week later. The delivery guys were fantastic. We have a small kitchen so I thought removing the old one and installing the new one might be tricky. They made it look easy and were completed in about one half hour. I could not be happier. read more

What started out as a sour experience, was saved, by Brian and Andrew. I stopped in, about 40 minutes before closing, to purchase some speakers and a receiver for my shed. After waiting in the audio department, without help from an employee, I decided to make a beeline to the door. On the way out, Brian asked, if I found what I needed. I was a little annoyed and cranky, by that point, and told him I had been waiting for 20 minutes without help and that I would buy elsewhere. After hearing my dissatisfaction, Brian took it upon himself, to find the items I came to purchase. On top of that, he gave me an additional small discount, on top of the sale price, for my trouble. Andrew checked me out, and was extremely patient with a complicated transaction. Then helped me take my purchases to the car. He was really great. Now I will definitely shop here more often. Richards in Norwalk to be delivered to our Norwalk home, and they COULD NOT provide a reasonable delivery window - they'd say one day, then they'd give a window of "1-4 PM," (which would have been fine except that they couldn't meet it). Then they couldn't meet that. Calls to the store to check the status of the order were dismissed as "we can't find out the delivery time (within a +/- 3 Hour window)." The day after Christmas, my brother was attempting to connect some cords to the back of our family t.v when it abruptly fell out of the wall and smashed the screen! What bad timing, but in response we decided to go out and try to find a replacement that day. I have not bought too many appliances/electronics from PC. Richard and Sons, but I remembered how they stayed CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day out of respect to their employees. Since this gesture had made a positive impression on me (take note you other stores!), I figured I might try them over the larger corporate box stores. The P.C Richards in Norwalk was pretty devoid of customers, as expected since it was the day after Christmas. But there were plenty of salespeople around to assist us. We explained how our tv met its untimely end and noted that we were looking for a reasonable deal. We ended up purchasing a Sony floor model, and the floor manager worked with us to get a VERY fair price. We were ecstatic. Their finance terms were also great! I also need to give kudos to the young salesperson who assisted us. It was snowing quite hard when we arrived at the store and he was about to leave, but he made sure to give us great customer service instead of slipping out to beat the heavy snow. I can't recall his name, but he and his helpful floor manager deserve a hearty thank you from my family. I recently purchased a 32 inch 1080p Samsung LCD television in the Norwalk store. Not only did they have the item in stock but they had the lowest price I could find anywhere online or "brick & mortar". (and believe me I looked) Several things to bear in mind when shopping here. First this store is the kind of place you would expect to find in the West 30's in Manhattan not so much up here in the suburbs of Fairfield county. I say this because the hard-sell is alive and well here, pushed by aggressive (and sometimes obnoxious) commission-salesman. If this turns you off then I suggest you head to Best Buy or Walmart instead. Also its important to note that on many items there are no returns, (although they will exchange items defective out of the box) so if you just change your mind that's your problem. Finally I wouldn't suggest ordering off the website especially if time is of the essence, as in my experience the online inventory count is inaccurate at best. Having said all this, if you are the kind of person who enjoys bargaining for the best deal with a car-dealer, are inclined to go into the store and walk out with the item you purchased, have done your homework product-wise and most importantly want the cheapest price around this store is a decent place to shop. read more

I have been shopping here for several years, and I have been dealing only with Brian for the last year. It is amazing how many things they sell, I don't know they keep it all straight. And the best part is, if they don't have an answer they find the answer for you instead of making it up. When I redid my kitchen, I wasn't sure if I wanted induction or electric (My wife wants Gas, but who wants to spend 9 grand having a gas line installed on a street?) so Brian showed us some options, explained to us why induction is superior, and even showed me how to test my pots and pans to see if they will work with induction (They didn't, bummer). We decided to go for the Jenn-Air, it had great reviews and left us with money to buy some new pots. They delivered, installed, and disposed of my old appliances all on the same day. No dropping off the appliances, waiting for someone else to install, and then waiting for a third truck to remove the old. read more
