I had a very disappointing experience at Aaron Bakery. The cashier's attitude was rude,…read moreunprofessional, and disrespectful. She did not treat customers with courtesy, and I felt insulted by the way I was spoken to. I was also charged $78 when the food I selected should have been about $38 When I pointed out the billing error, instead of apologizing, she told me I should have noticed it before the bill was completed. That response was unacceptable. I was also concerned about the freshness of the food. In my opinion, some of the food did not seem freshly prepared and appeared to have been reheated. This made me question the quality of the food being served. Overall, the poor customer service, billing mistake, and concerns about the food quality mean I will not be returning. I hope the management addresses these issues and improves both customer service and quality control.

The Nasi goreng was not nasi goreng (Malaysian/Indonesian fried rice). It was so so - spicy, slightly sour rice. It didn't seem fried. I think it was just lemon rice with added flavouring. It had chicken, shrimp, fish, carrot & onion. The other (Sri Lankan) stuff was mostly good though - stuffed rotis, vadai, fish cutlets, samosas, kothu roti etc. And all pretty cheap. Home made ice cream was better than I expect. It was a small scoop but cheap. The vanilla flavour was decent & pretty creamy, though the store was too warm. Falooda came with 2 scoops ice cream, which was generous. It was good & tasted like the bandung drink (rich rose syrup & milk).

I'd been wanting to try the cannoli from St. Philip's Bakery for a while, and I finally stopped by!…read moreI picked up 2 classic chocolate cannolis, 2 pistachio cannolis. and 2 ricotta lobstertails Price & Size: Cannolis were around $4 each, not exactly cheap, but they were quite large. Taste: The shells were crispy, and the ricotta filling was smooth, not too sweet, and overall tasty. The lobstertails were also crispy and creamy. Verdict: After trying the 3 most famous cannoli spots in Vaughan, this one ranks 3rd for me. They were good, but nothing mind-blowing--I wouldn't go out of my way just for these. Of course, this is subjective, so this might be someone else's favorite! Bakery & Service: The store was clean, well-organized, and easy to browse. The staff was friendly, but I wish they had price tags on display. Beyond cannoli, this bakery offers a huge selection of pastries, bread, cakes, deli meats, ready-to-eat meals, coffee, and gelato--so I'd love to come back and try more!

All excited I took them home to the family and omg what a surprise in not a good way. They tiramisu tasted like some chemical experiment with no fluffy mascarpone or coffee dipped layered cookie- it was disgustingly bad! I should have known by the plastic little container it came in - most likely bought frozen and then thawed. We then went to the cannoli Sicilian style except the ricotta filling was strange tasting and missing that rich deep flavor as well as the chocolate chips and with a further bite the shell tasted stale and old - ohh man 2 for 2 fails , donut looked good and it was okay but not an authentic donut taste / was lifeless and then gave you a not so nice cheap oil after taste. We get to the cinnabun and this was the only thing that was decent - very sweet but overall acceptable- for the money we paid and the reputation St. Phillips has / they should be ashamed to offer this low quality product. Definitely never going back and neither should you!!!

It was cool to learn that Seara Bakery & Pastry offers Portuguese pastries and desserts in Vaughan…read more A recent Yelp experience brought me here. This bakery is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. I had no problem finding a parking spot coming from work. Sadly, all the Portuguese egg tarts (natas) were sold out when I had arrived at 5:30 pm. However, I did manage to get a pistachio loaf that looked yummy and ended up taking it home. I have had the following items at this place: - Iced latte - Portuguese vanilla custard-filled donut - Ham and cheese croissant My iced latte was awesome. The woman at the counter asked whether I wanted sugar. I declined it, which made this drink perfect. It was cold. The coffee was smooth. It had the perfect amount of milk. I loved it. My vanilla custard-filled donut came out next. It was cut in half, so I admired all the custard in it. It had sugar around it that was the only sweetness that I got from it. The custard had a mild vanilla flavour and had little sugar, which I appreciated. The donut was more on the egg side of things. If you don't like that eggy taste, it may not be for you. I personally loved how different it was compared to regular overly sweet donuts. My ham and cheese croissant had arrived. When you order a croissant warmed up, it gets pressed in a panini machine. It was different, but it worked. There was a single slice of ham and another slice of cheese in this croissant. It was yummy, but I was yearning for more filling. The croissant had a different type of flakiness when it was pressed to death. I used the washroom before I headed home. Staff here were constantly cleaning tables, chairs, and the washrooms during my visit. The women's washroom is a single stall and it was super clean. My pistachio loaf came up to $8. I paid with a debit card. I tipped and tapped. Done! There are nuts on top of the pistachio loaf, but not in the loaf itself. The loaf was closer to a pound cake, but without a whole lot of moisture. It also had a hint of vanilla or some other extract in it. It wasn't sweet, but it did require downing it with a drink. I ended up taking half of the loaf and making French toast out of it. It turned out nicely. I hope to return to get some natas. There were so many pastries that I want to try as many as possible. (245)

From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff made me feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly and helped make recommendations on their most popular pastries - there's so many to choose from! I got the Pistachio Tiramisu and the Sweet Egg Mille Feuille. The tiramisu was light, sweet, and had a subtle pistachio flavor. The Mille Feuille was massive! It had crispy, flaky layers and a nicely balanced sweet egg custard in between. Very reasonable prices for all their pastries. If you're in the area and craving some authentic Portuguese pastries, I highly recommend stopping by this charming bakery! :)

It was quick! 1 person ahead of me ordering :) So happy I got to try this place as it's been on my list for quite some time. 5/5 as soon as I took my first bite. Ordered the tiramisu, chocolate/hazelnut croissant and a Spanish coffee. All were excellent. I enjoyed the various flavours that were light yet not too sweet or overpowering. Flaky pastry, and so so fresh. The mortadella & pistachio. Focaccia was fresh and fillings were generous. I would highly recommend. Amazing bakery, if you're in the area, highly recommend checking it out.

First thing I noticed was their display of focaccia sandwiches. They had 4 kinds. I wish I didn't already have lunch plans. I love focaccia! The fillings offered were interesting like, mortadella x pistachios or prosciutto x truffle! I will have to return. I came here for the pastry. They had at least 16 different kinds of croissants and danishes. Not including cookies, whole pies and they also serve coffee and loaves of bread. Tiramisu danish was one of their popular items so I got that plus a plain croissant. Wow, the tiramisu was a 10/10! I mean, there was even a piece of ladyfinger soaked in coffee inside the danish! It was unbelievable. It was such a delightful dessert. As for the plain croissant, it was sadly average. It didn't have that crispy, flaky bite I enjoy. Note there is no seating area but there is a counter with a view of the parking lot.
