    a variety of pastries

Their baked goods and pastries have been consistently good. Prices raised a bit but still affordable. I can never say no to the cod fish cakes, shrimp pastries and chicken pastries. I enjoyed to go there to enjoy my sandwish and a cup of tea quietly without any loud noise background. Will go back more often for sure!

Great Portuguese bakery with a friendly staff. Perfect place to get a real good inexpensive breakfast. They make some real nice sandwiches for lunch as well. Great cappuccino's and lattes.

Very fresh buns that are not too crusty. Good selection of pastries and savoury foods. Great coffee.

The tiramisu was light, sweet, and had a subtle pistachio flavor.

Friendly staff who were able to show me their dairy free options! Very clean location! Parking is available 20 minutes free on the road or 1.25 every 20 minutes (just double check the time and days if the week in case it changes) Dessert was very fresh and served in sustainable packaging! Drink was also a delight with almond milk. Dessert with 2 12 oz drinks cost $20 but it's a more premium brand which shows with its taste (just maybe Not an everyday treat for the wallet)

Great Vibe, Disappointing Espresso (from an ex-Barista)…read moreStepped into this spot looking to grab some genuinely good coffee. As an ex-barista, I'm fussy--I hate spending money and not getting a quality product. Unfortunately, the coffee was a swing and a miss. I ordered one iced latte and one hot latte. In both drinks, the espresso was burnt. I actually watched the barista pulling the shots, and I could tell immediately. To make matters worse, the hot drink was barely a latte; it was essentially a cappuccino based on the absurd amount of foam on top. Plus, the milk itself was ruined. There's a certain temperature and texture for steaming milk, and this was clearly burnt milk that had been frothed way too aggressively. Aesthetically, the café is lovely--it's cute and a great spot to work from home. My recommendation? Skip the espresso drinks. Maybe try the matcha or a pastry instead. I definitely won't be back for the coffee.

While we were waiting for our drinks we sat at this really cute window nook and just took in the peacefulness. The server was very helpful with tea selections and knew which teas paired with what flavours. I got the non caffeinated tea (picture) with honey, no sugar, with grassy, and no ice. My wife had a mango tea with foam. Our drinks were perfect. I love that it was zero fuss. Surprisingly not very busy but we did just have a killer snowstorm. I'm definitely coming back here more often.

I noticed this Chicha San Chen and wanted to check it out. Jason joined me to work off some of the ramen that he had devoured. I've been to the Chicha San Chen at CF Markville. This store is at least twice as big as that location. There were plenty of places to sit down and enjoy your tea. I had a couple of fruity sparkling drinks at the CF Markville place. I was going to ask the man behind the counter if he had them. Instead, he said that he'd be back and I could look at the menu. It was delivered in a not-now-I'm-busy tone. It was odd. It's the only reason why this place doesn't get five stars. I'm so glad that Jason was with me. He said that the woman at CF Markville suggested that he get the high mountain pouchong tea with lemon juice and konjac. I decided to go with this drink. I got this drink with less sugar and less ice. I paid with my debit card on my phone. I tapped and was done. It didn't take much time for this drink to be made. It was nice chatting up a storm with Jason as we waited. The moment of truth was here. My drink was ready. I took a sip. It was awesome! The foam tasted like lemon meringue. The tea was perfect with the lemon juice. The konjac was chewy. I haven't had konjac since I visited Song Tea eons ago (rest in bubble tea peace). I wish that this drink came in a larger size. I drank it too fast... haha! I had a great experience with my friend's recommendation. I like that there's lot of parking in this plaza. I'd return again for more good bubble tea. Maybe staff will be more cheerful then. (437)

They lack signage for food completely here, so newbies like me will repetitively inquire, "ooh what's that?" over and over. The cakes, the bread, deep fried things all have no signs or prices, so unless you know what it is you won't feel comfortable. The service was patient and friendly, but I caused a back log on the line up, but if they had signage I would know that the cod ball wasn't a dessert filled with cream. Things to try, names are referenced off the receipt. Sweet - Portuguese tarts (Natas) creamy smooth egg and medium torched in a flaky shell. Like a thicker version of creme brûlée - milk tart(quiej. De leite): like a Nata but without egg, so it's a lot lighter, not quite cupcake like as described but good Bread Milk egg sweet bread??: it's right by the cash, big huge top hat sized thing. It's very light inside and a touch sweet. It looks dry and tough on the outside though but it's not.. Makes great French toast if you have leftovers! Deep fried: R. Camarao: teardrop one is cod, flaky and light with mashed potatoes and parsley, even people who can't stand salmon will like this. The patty shape one is shrimp filled, also tasty.
