My MacBook circa mid 2012 still runs great. Sometimes screensaver doesn't work, today it's fine! 02/11/23

Apple Store on 14th Street in Chelsea sometimes has training classes not offered elsewhere. It's very inconvenient from where I live. When I'm nearby I have gone in and gotten the same great customer service when I ask questions. Sometimes I cop a free phone charge by plugging in to a display. It's great fun trying out the new devices. Today I had to update four of my SIX Apple devices. Even my old iPhone 5s had an update. It took me hours. I guess that's the price I have to pay for the security of using Apple products. I'm recommending you stop by this store when you're nearby.

Such smooth service! I had an appointment with a 15min window to puck up my pre-ordered Iphone and I was able to walk right in and get my order. Ideal location and great customer service!

Very gorgeous building in great location. This is the largest Apple store I ever visited. But I'm not satisfied with their service. I make an appointment with their Genius Bar staff but they are impatient and my computer issue wasn't solved.

Arrogant Apple! The Indian service guy told me it would take hours and hours and hours to transfer my up to 128G data to the new iPhone 14. He said I should not spent their time. The Indian service person let me go back home to do transfer by myself. I told him I bought iPhone 13 twice in Atlanta and San Francisco and it took me 30 mins transferred the data in stores. He said the network in this store was slow. When I asked he change another service guy, he synced up a person for a long time then the new guy came back with the same answer even though I told him I was ok to wait for 1.5 hours. He still suggested me to leave. Surprisingly Apple haven't conducted massive layoffs for low performers like other high tech companies did.

One of the many Apple Store's in NY, this is in the Meatpacking District / Chelsea at W 14th St right next to the fantastic, stunning Starbucks Reserve Roastery. The store is over three floors (it isn't as big as it sounds - but it still is a decent size) with a rather nice glass staircase. The staff didn't stand out as other Apple Stores do, but they still did have a decent selection of Apple merch on show, the store felt pretty modern but I do feel the store was a combination of small floors making it a decent size and I would have preferred maybe it to be over two floors, both being slightly larger as it would give the store a nicer feel to it compared to being slightly cramped. It might not be the nicest Apple Store in the city, and it might not have the most features one would think of when imagining an Apple Store - but it doesn't mean it's terrible. A decent store in a decent location for sure. 3*

I'll start this really bluntly; I was SA[sexually assaulted] by the service man who came into my…read morehome to install my router + wifi, but to understand the 5 stars, you need to read further -- how it was handled made me want to stay with them. He arrived earlier than expected [9:05a instead of between 11a-1p], so I was sleeping still + was awakened by his call that he was outside. I was a little confused as the events unfolded as a result. I allowed him into my home + showed him where the routers for the rest of our home are located. That's when he asked to see the rest of my unit. I allowed him in to see the space + I am not sure exactly what happened before this moment, but he picked me up + threw me on the bed + began to hump me with his pants still on. I am a stripper, so I was able to make him stop as I am prepared + experienced to handle behavior like that as part of my job is to do this very thing every single night. I told him to stop trying to SA me [because he was still trying] + install my wifi, so I could start work for the day. He listened to me, stopped, + installed my wifi. During his installation, I told my friends who live in the upstairs unit, + they came down to make sure I was okay. I explained what happened, + I brought one of my male friends outside to introduce him to the serviceman as my husband. We then went back inside. When he returned, he installed an extender to me, noting that it would have cost more but I would be getting it for free as a favor. He began to attempt to kiss me + pick me up again. I told him I needed to start work, so I needed to know what I had to sign and walked back to the laundry room where the cameras are. He showed me, I signed, + he began to ask me questions about my husband + stand in my front doorway. That's when my other neighbor came down. He began to ask about her, + I explained she was my wife. He was flabbergasted + stepped out of the doorway, so I could close it. I took a couple days to digest what had happened + reflect over it. The wifi works absolutely amazing [2 gig Fiber]. So I had a gut feeling that it wasn't the company but the employee or contracted serviceman that needed to be held accountable, so other more vulnerable or less empowered Women didn't experience what I did. I started with the immediate feedback form + still felt unsatisfied as I wrote that the Serviceman should not be allowed in a Woman's home. So I tried to call, but was caught in a loop with an AI tech agent who rebooted my gateway thinking that I was having problems, which I was not [as I said, the wifi is great]. So I asked for billing [as I really did -not- want to pay for that installation after what happened to me + ran into the problem of not knowing my account number, because I had focused more on getting the man out of my home rather than listening to the information he was telling me between touching me + humping me. But because I waited so long looking for my account number, I was finally transferred to a HUMAN! Yay! That's when the story get's good. Kimon was extremely empathetic, which was the most divinely perfect individual to be connected to. She was both baffled + enraged as I explained what I was calling for [1] to inform them of the dangerous serviceman + [2] to be able to log into my account. She explained how shocked she was to hear what I had told her + immediately began to work on a report. She consistently reminded me that she was on the line with me still between moments of silence as she made the report. When the report got paused by needed to contact her hire-ups, she began to work on the technical problem. As she finished, she was able to finish the report, meeting both needs efficiently + with the fullness of empathy one hopes for in such a situation. She told me that I would be contacted by email to set up a follow up call. Wow! What a gem of a HUMAN BEING! I will update should anything else unfold, but this has been the best experience, because I felt HEARD + someone instantly worked on the most important priority, which was protected other customers. We shared lots of love + appreciation for each other before we wished each other safety in the New Year. PS I absolutely told her about the extender that was most definitely a way to manipulate me from calling about my experience. I would rather pay for this amazing extender + not the installation that reminded me that there are still men who choose to take an opportunity when they see one. Be safe, Friends.

Came in a second time to finally get it fixed. FINALLY got it fixed, the color looked OFF but I thought, its ok, I spent about $130 on this screen I can put up with that. Literally, 2 months later the screen they put on got unstuck, here im thinking, ok things happen. I brought it back to them and the rep had the audacity to tell me that it was "out of warranty". Guess they give you 30 days, but a situation where the glue is not properly applied should be outside of this period. The rep then said he would try to fix the one I had on there, I thought "ok wonderful, maybe its just reconnecting it and gluing it appropriately". He tries to look at it and then BREAKS my face ID port. Wait not done... he then says he has to ORDER the part so I have to now COME BACK to get fixed what he broke. WOW This is ridiculous that a place can provide such bad customer service. There are many other places to go, I refuse to ever go back here again. Dont always go for the cheapest service. I would much have preferred to pay a different price for a service dont RIGHT. Horrible!!!

The next day I went to the shop and met Andre who was able to swap out my battery for a new one in a matter of minutes. As I was waiting for my battery replacement, I noticed that this shop also sells charging cables, phone cases, masks, gloves and hand sanitizers so it's a one-stop-shop if you're in need of these items. Fortunately for me, I needed extra charging cables and a mask so I was very happy to see these items being sold there. Being that I was so impressed with the service, I ended up leaving my iPad Air there so that he could order the replacement battery for it. Another cool thing I noticed was that this shop also takes Bitcoin payments as I saw a Bitcoin machine there so anyone that uses this payment method will find this helpful.

Have to sign in with security and scan your ID then wait for someone to escort you upstairs. Originally, I was quoted $75 to fix it on Yelp when I told them the detailed situation. When I went upstairs, the guy told me that it was unlikely to be fixed, but it would maybe cost around $125. When I asked why the quote was different, he said it was because it was ocean water (even though I specified that in the quote request). They took down a deposit for $30 not including tax to diagnose the phone. A day later, another guy working on it told me over the phone that only the screen would have to be changed. He was super nice when we got there and showed us what happened to the LED. The deposit was applied to part of the payment for the screen switch. The total came out to about $55. The screen is a bit dimmer and glitchy but I don't know if that has to do with the shop or the phone. At least the phone works! The blond guy fixing the phone seems honest.
