NOT SAFE!!!Bacteria! I Stopped in with my boyfriends sister & mom. We were serviced pretty quickly. To make a long story short none of the foot tubs were cleaned after they were done being occupied by a customer. I sat and and watched a handful of customers leave their chairs, the water drained & new water filled up then a new customer sitting in that chair seconds later. Utensils were not cleaned and sterilized properly. They were quickly washed in a sink by the nail tech then dried off with a napkin. Reporting to the BBB!! read more

An apple a day won't keep litigation at bay. after my brows were waxed, I was handed a "release of liability agreement" to sign. Very unusual. The gals could not explain it to me. I asked what it was and was told to read it and sign. the patron next to me said they always ask for it when waxing is performed. She's been going there for 15 years. Said they always do it. Seriously though. What type of issues am I signing off on? Am I gonna grow a third eye or a unibrow? Is their wax really Soylent Green? And where is the disclaimer prior to the service?? Hummm... It's been a long time since I've stepped foot in here because I came two separate times (once for a full set and once for a pedi) and both times were the worst experiences I've had getting my nails done. Because it's been awhile, I wasn't going to write a review (I don't think I checked in on Yelp either since it was before I really started using Yelp), however my mother-in-law recently came here (because she received a gift card as a present), and she also had a terrible experience that sounded similar to the two I had years ago. An extremely rude technician who rushes and does a crappy job, while not being remotely sorry about CUTTING a person's fingers and making them BLEED should not continue working at a job she clearly doesn't like. I've read other reviews of people having the same experience my mother-in-law and I did. I also think it's really suspicious that several of the 5 star reviews were written by people with only one or two reviews. For those of you not entirely familiar with Yelp, usually those people who write only one review, are writing a fake, glowing review for a friend or family member, or because they're being paid by the establishment in question. read more

Despite the reviews i saw i wanted to give them a chance and Unfortunately it was the last time I'd be in. The lady who did my nails seemed to be very nice although we were unable to communicate due to language barriers which ended up causing problems with my nails. I got gel nail color done. Requested one color (a dark pink) was given a red. When the manicurist asked if I like the color I said it was too red. She started painting and I though maybe this is one of those colors that looks different once on, so I let her continue. First coat was pink toned. Second coat became "I'm not a waitress red" when she asked me again I told her it was too red I asked for a pink color. She then went and spoke with manger they looked at color I requested vs color I got. Never said anything to me except "wow they look so pretty". When I went up to pay and asked manager to see color charts. I pointed out that the color I requested was pink and held up to my current nail. She admitted it was different but said I ok'd color so it didn't matter basically. Offered a discount on next nail service, I asked for discount on this one since its the one that's wrong and she wouldn't do it. Finally in the end when I called back to complain again she said she would give me $5 off ($25 bill) but I had I come right back for them to fix. Which I did not have time to do. First time I've left without letting someone finish. The leaving me waiting forever to do another manicure wasn't an issue, but not focusing once she came back was awful. I asked for natural, received some square jagged natural combo. Waited until after I had soaked off my previous dip to tell me they didn't gave the color I chose. Offered a gel in similar color, fine. Then does the worst dip I've ever had. Missing in chunks, uneven, began filing before they set so they got ruined and instead of fixing she just added more activator?? I thought she got up to deal with someone else but started coming back with the lamp like she was about to paint this hot mess. $30 to spend the next few hours fixing this nightmare. read more

Fantastic place, great service for great price! They've been around for a very long time so most of the staff is very professional...just find the person you like working with the best. While it's true that most of the staff is Vietnamese, they are always very polite and try to have a conversation. They are very detail oriented and never turn down a client even if you're late for an appointment or did not make a reservation...but of course it's better to make an appointment to get more personal service, with the person of your choice :) One of the other reviewers mentioned about gel nails cracking...it happened to me only once and I figured out it was because I wanted to use regular nail polish underneath the gel coating. That is the only time that happens. If you'd like to use gel to color your nails, you must select from the limited (about 10) variety of gel colors and then top it with gel coating. If you use regular nail polish (for additional color variety) unfortunately it cracks. But if you use the gel color and top it off with gel coating, it does not come off ever until you decide to file-off the color or your nail grows...it's that durable! And I love it!! :) read more

Her customer service was excellent and she was very friendly. We had a few laughs and had a few great conversations through the short time I was sitting with her. She also waxed my eye brows. I've been going to professionail in fullerton off of malvern but since moving was looking for a new nail salon and this place sent me RUNNING back to my old place. I had a mani/pedi and were BOTH finished in 20 minutes!! they were awful! My french pedi was all crooked in the direction she was twisting my toe to do the tips.. my manicure chipped and peeled in one day and even my husband noticed that it was lumpy and unevenly covered. In which they should. yes, sometimes it does happen, and before you are quick to post a bad review, try solving the problem first because they will make it right. I have been to many many different nail places and this is absolutely the best place I have ever been. when I find a great technician, I usually stick to the same person. ((((It's Just Like You Would Do When You Find A Great Hair Beautician)))) I have Helen do my nails. I have went a few times and Helen was off work so I had Kim do my nails. She did perfect as well. an few times I had to get my nails done in other states and basically come back to Helen to have her fix my nails beautifully. My point to you all, please don't focus on the negative. more people should post when they are pleased. they don't realize that this is hurtful to a business and that puts food on all their tables. Just try to contact them first to make right. I have never ever had a problem. I know they DON'T just sit there and talk bad about you as or make fun of you . Came in on a random Friday with no appointment! My feet needed some instant pampering and had to be sandal ready for the beach! I got immediate seating for a pedicure, after being indecisive about my polish color of choice that was right there when you walked in on the left. The chairs were so luxurious, I felt like I could just pay to be sitting in that for an hour. The excruciating moment is when they scrub the bottom of your feet, for which I am EXTREMELY TICKLISH and used all my might resisting to laugh and scream. Big thumbs up to them keeping the door open for ventilation (salon fumes are notoriously strong). The lady that did my nails was extremely patient and a stickler for detail and neatness. That was a my selling point! The best part was the Cinderella moment with putting on shoes after the pedicure! This is always so stressful because one wrong slip and the polish could rub off. But the gal was a pro! She was doing acrobatic handwork in a gentle slow motion, angling the shoe and my toes in juuuuuuuuuuust the right manner, finding the sweet spot! I am fairly new to Cypress so I've been searching for a good nail salon to patronize. I found apple nails on yelp and decided to give it a try. The first thing to note is the location is nice with plenty of parking. I went in for a full set and was seated almost immediately at 5pm on a Monday afternoon. The atmosphere is delightful with a beach/water theme so I could appreciate that. The woman that did my nails took her time, which I liked, but she was a little difficult to understand and I always feel rude constantly saying "what was that?" so perhaps that made the experience a bit awkward. She also cut one of my cuticles with the nail drill and while it hurt a bit she assured me that she was very sorry. Even though it's a business you can just tell when they're being sincere and she definitely was. Overall, I liked the shape and style of my nails, but for a white tip, the actual nail area was far too light looking for my darker skin. The total cost was $25 dollars which was pretty pricy in my opinion. I had a decent experience, but for now I think I'll keep searching for other nail salons. This nail place was decent and clean. My French tip pedi came out fine so no complaints! The ladies weren't annoyingly chatty so they get extra stars for that! Came here on a Sunday and it is extremely busy. TIP: make an appointment, some girls waited over 30-45 mins to be seated. I called first and made an appointment with Kim because majority of my friends come to her. She is the youngest of all the workers here. She's really nice and friendly. I came in to do a fill, uv gel nail polish, and to redo one of my nails that had broken off. She got me done within about an hour and 15 mins. Her work is pretty good and she pays attention a lot to detail. I walked out with my total being 36 dollars minus tip. They are expensive that most places. I usually pay 38 for a full get set, and I had to pay 36 here for a fill and one replacement nail. Everything about this place is good. I would give it 5 stars if I was not for the price and if it wasn't so crowded. Therefore 4 stars overall for me. read more

We went in today, me and my boyfriend, to get a pedicure and we were able to sit down right away. Once the woman started doing my pedicure, it felt super rushed; like this is a fast food equivalent to nail salons. Like they turn and burn. I didn't feel relaxed and we were only there for about 20 minutes. My polish is super sloppy and my boyfriend and I just got the basic pedicures and it was $48. As you can see in the photos, I could've saved my money and done it myself and it would've looked better. When she was putting my shoe on, she messed up the little toe on my foot and just like plopped the polish on to do a quick fix. I left irritated that I wasted my money on this. These women who work at Apple Nails park their cars in the slots nearest to their business. Two doors down from this business is a physical therapy office, and these women park in the spots nearest to the physical therapy office. This makes it difficult for patients with mobility issues who have to park farther away. All the other businesses in this strip mall park closest to the street, keeping the spaces closest to the building open for people who can't easily walk. read more
