This place was amazing! Nice little side of the road place with incredible food. Usually when I pass thru late at night they are closed. I made a stop at lunch on my way back North. I ordered in drive thru and then parked 15 min and then went back thru drive through to pick up my order. You can call in and then pick up in drive through or you can eat in. This place was very busy for 11am on a Friday. A local favorite for sure. I ordered a bacon chicken ranch sandwich, onion rings, fries and a small cherry-banana shake. And a western bacon cheeseburger for the road. All were very tasty, but the onion rings were probably the best I've ever had and the milkshake was phenomenal with small chunks of banana and cherry. Apple Lucy's had a very diverse menu and fast friendly service. This will be a regular stop as I pass through in the future. Even if I only order a milkshake. Yum! read more

We stopped here on our drive up to Washington and ordered the cowgirl burger, a cheeseburger, the fish basket, a milkshake, and a slice of apple pie. Everything was amazing. The apple pie was honestly some of the best I have ever had, and it was not even warmed up, which says a lot. The cowgirl burger was packed with flavor, and everyone in my family enjoyed their meals. The service was great. We went through the drive-through and they brought our food out quickly. The total came out to around $44 for everything. WOW! Apple Lucy's is a truly one of a kind place. Burgers, fries, sides, classic diner and PIE. And pie shakes! The food at Apple Lucy's is classic diner fare, the kids loved their meals which were all under $6 and included fries and a drink. Their burger were really good, and their ranch was homemade and excellent. We had a cheesecake shake with strawberries and oh. my. word. The deliciousness of this this shake cannot be overstated. It was so delicious we were sad we had to share, and eyed each other to see if there was any left. There was not. You must try their pies and also their pie shakes. The service is very friendly and fast, and the dining area is home-y. They also have outside seating for nice weather. The staff here was very kind to my family and accommodated the kids. Inside out: A cute classic place, a little on the older side but no troubles there! Service: Nothing wrong here! Food: It was average. The issue here: there is a sign that says they needed to up some prices taped to the bottom of the menu where you order- the wind pushes it back so it's not something I saw until I got to the window. When you get there the sign is up- and what that meant was double the menu price. I wouldn't have even bothered. I understand small business not being able to get a new sign but no human walking the earth wants to pay double the menu price as a surprise. The patty melt had very little meat and cheese and too many onions, which were not cooked long enough. The sandwich was mostly tomatoes and lettuce, which I don't expect on a patty melt. In honor of Pi Day, I am going to tell you where to find the best pie in Southern Idaho. If you love pie as much as I and KM do, it's well worth the trip to Parma to visit Apple Lucy's. These photos are from our visit in April 2022. We got a piece of every slice of pie available on the menu, and the cheesecake. Apple Lucy's is also famous for their Pie Shakes. The day we visited, almost everyone who was coming in, ordered one. I first tried Apple Lucy's pie years ago when Michelle and Steve Davis sold their pies at the farmers market in Boise. But I only got to try their pie once, because they sold out fast. It was excellent! In 2007, the Davises opened Apple Lucy's Bakery & Diner. The name Apple Lucy's comes from their much beloved Golden Retriever named Lucy, who loved apples. In the 1950's, Michelle's grandmother Helen Anacabe owned The Duchess restaurant in Parma. The Davises pies are all based on Michelle's family recipes. That's why they add walnuts to their pecan pie, and peel their own apples for the Dutch Apple pie. The Dutch Apple pie is Michelle's aunt's recipe. The Davises try to source as much fruit as possible from local orchards. Apple Lucy's is too small for a commercial oven, so the Davises built one at their home, which is where they make all their pies. Most mornings, pie making starts at 6 AM. When we visited, a slice of pie was $3.90. Banana Cream pie and Cheesecake were $4.40 each. A slice of pie à la mode was $4.75. A whole pie was $15.95. The pies we tried were: Banana Cream, Marionberry, Dutch Apple, Walnut Pecan, and Cherry. We also tried their Cheesecake. There are lots of folks that can make a great pie filling, but in order for it to be a great pie, it must have a flaky pie crust. Apple Lucy's delivers on both counts. Every single piece of pie was so outstandingly delicious that I would have a hard time telling you which was my favorite, but I absolutely loved the Banana Cream pie, and the Marionberry was to die for. Normally, I'm not a big fan of Dutch Apple, but the Davises version was excellent! I think the best way to put it is that each pie flavor was the best version of that particular one that I've ever had. The classic New York style cheesecake was excellent too! If you want to buy an entire pie, call ahead to order one. The Davises only make a certain number of fresh pies each day. When they're gone, they're gone. I truly can't say enough good things about Apple Lucy's or the wonderful family who owns it. Parma is a bit of a drive, but given that it's the best pie in Southern Idaho, and quite possibly the entire state, it is worth it. Highly Recommended!!! read more

The people are nice but they seem to need a larger establishment. The kitchen is small and occasionally understaffed so it can be a bit slow (aside from the fact that the whole town comes here to eat). The outside speaker hasn't worked in awhile (I think it was removed) so be sure to pull up to order. A lot of the menu is good but the lack of supplies has taken some stuff off for a short bit. The chili is okay but a little too sweet for my liking, it kinda tastes like something you'd find in a retirement home (I've eaten in one before). The shakes are good but I recommend asking for no salt on the fries as some people have heavy hands with the shaker. read more

My wife and I are fan's of Apple Lucy's, we drive there from Caldwell just to eat and buy pies. On December 20th we had lunch and bought a boysenberry pie, the only flavor available. Got it home to serve to friends and the bottom half was covered in watery juices, totally inedible. What a disappointment. Threw it out. read more

I love apple Lucy's. The owner is one of the hardest working guys ever, you'll find him in the back filling orders 6 days a week. Their fried pickles and onion rings are awesome. If you haven't tried their pie milkshakes you MUST. Marionberry and Apple are phenomenal. And obviously their burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads are awesome too. Having tried almost everything on the menu, I strongly suggest the Malibu chicken sandwich, Mushroom Swiss chicken/burger (both are wonderful), Apple Lucy burger, and the Western burger. I like too add jalapeños to just about anything too. Be sure to try every side at least once because their all good. I keep a menu at my desk where I work and get it to go at least once a week. Food has got a lot better over the last couple years. Service is excellent prices are pretty steep considering where we're at and what's being served. Tonight tried one of their pie shakes for the first time and honestly if I would have saw the size that went along with the price tag I wouldn't have done it. Paying that much for a shake is just absolutely insane while it was good and top three best shakes I've ever had it's not worth how much they're asking. I'd rather drive to notice and get a large Oreo shake from the garage and spend the same amount of money if not a little less. Also along with tonight's meal had a chicken strip dinner came with the salad asked for onion rings got very few onion rings and the basket and only two medium size chicken strips was expecting four for a dinner but that's not what we received.
