I ordered a new Macbook and charger converter online and shipped it to this store. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by an employee. I told them I was picking up an order that was placed online. He kindly took my information, had me sign for my new Macbook, and then I was on my way :D the entire process only took about 10 minutes (or less). I was also there on a Saturday evening. I had a very pleasant experience with this visit. I'd recommend that if you know what you want, just order it online, and come and pick it up. I see some reviews about people waiting on techs to become available so they can buy xyz but online shopping + shipping to store has really eliminated you having to do that :D If you want to see the item in person first, maybe drop in to solidify what you want, and if they are super busy, purchase it online and ship it to the store (or the store may already have it on hand, and your order can be ready in an hour or less- thats what I did!) read more

Great safety and cleanliness for Covid. Unfortunately, customer service is really low. Went shopping for an two Apple watches. Middle eastern woman was not good at selling at all and acted as if she was bothered. Luckily I left and returned and got a new staff Member who was able to articulate the series 5 feature, etc. outside there is three different lines for waiting ... even the staff outside are aggressive and confused as to manage the incoming customers. First come, first serve. AS SIMPLE AS THAT. My personal customer service experience is a 3 out of 5. Meaning that it's either great or crappy depending what time of day you arrive. Overall, you need to research Apple products & their different warranties/care plans before you just hop on the "APPLE" bandwagon. Don't get something built by Mac simply because it looks cool. Might want to check your reservation for pick up multiple times... I stood outside the store for 30 mins... before my single item came out to me. I could have stood in the line 3 times and went in and bought my item in a fraction of the time. Worst part about it is that they have 6 people standing OUTSIDE the store. I was very pleased with my service at the Apple Store in Annapolis Mall. I came in around 11am on Saturday and was given an appointment for 45 minutes later. They were prompt. I extended my appointment 3 times, and there was no issue. My iPhone 6s had a swollen battery issue. The phone was swapped and I was only charged $49. This store is the absolute worse! I understand they have lots of customers come in that just want to "look", but that doesnt mean you should assume all customers are there for the same thing. We came into the store to buy and Apple watch and be on our way, but it took forever to be acknowledged by any of the employees. When someone finally did come over, they took our name and told us we'll have to wait to even be helped. Customer service FAIL. This is not acceptable at all! Take your iPhone to this Apple Store in Annapolis at your own risk. I brought my iPhone 8 in for a screen replacement because the screen had actually just stopped working (after less than two years of use--obviously a defect but out of warranty). The phone was in pristine condition. No scratches no dings nothing. They replaced the screen and when I got the phone back there was a scratch on the side and I told the "genius" that the scratch wasn't there when I gave it to them for repair and he tried to tell me that I probably didn't notice it because the "case" would have covered it but I explained that there was no case and I brought the phone in its original box and I inspected it before I brought it in but he wouldn't admit it. Unfortunately I didn't have pictures of the phone and I had no way to prove it. I would recommend taking photos of your phone right there in the store with a manager watching before handing it over. Needless to say I won't be doing business with Apple anytime soon and never again at this store Very frustrating. read more

I went in to store to have my watch paired to my iPhone pro max, only to be told that my series 2 watch could not be paired to my pro max because of a software issue. I was informed I would have to wait for a system update for it to pair. I left and went to a sprint store and my watch was easily paired to my phone. The associate that helped me in the Apple store was the hostess at the door whose name was either Brittany or Brianna. read more

Came in for a simple phone repair. When we came in we were told 60 minutes wait time for phone. One hour later ( after getting the text) we came in to wait another 15 minutes. Then we were told 60 to 90 minutes. We waited patiently for the full 90 only to finally give up and go back to the store to be told we would have to wait another 30 to 45 minutes. I would never come back to this location. The manager was very unhelpful. read more

This is my local Apple store but not my favorite. The staff is predominantly younger kids and it seems the store's focus is more on iPods and iPhones than Macs (which is what I buy). Can be quite crowded in front with all the mall shoppers playing with iPods and the like. Would like to see a few more adults on staff. Also frequently see the staff all bunched together chattering away with one another such that I feel like I'm imposing on them just to ask a question (compared to other stores where the staff is always running around trying to deal with this or that). Has all the things you need for a Mac of course. Even has had a few harder to find parts that I wasn't expecting them to have. Location in the Mall is ok, slightly difficult if you have to lug in a big desktop for repair (they do not allow you to go through the back door which is closer to the parking lot, like some Apple stores do). I use them when in Annapolis or in a hurry. For bigger purchases though I go to Clarendon in DC which I prefer given the parking and service I get from that store. read more

This place is fine once you find someone to help you but getting the attention of anyone who works there is next to impossible. It's amazing that they can have 15 sales associates on the floor and still feel understaffed but for some reason this place is perpetually packed. If you're going in for a repair (the reason I went in) make sure to make an appointment online beforehand and then head straight to the genius bar so that you're not waiting around awkwardly for someone to notice you. But if you're looking to make a purchase you're better off doing it online. Or going very very early in the morning so that you have a chance to actually talk to someone. read more

Awful experience. My WiFi suddenly stopped working on my phone. They explained that IT WAS NOTHING I DID - but gave me the option to pay $319. I asked if it happened again what would I do. She suggested instead of getting a regular warranty I should get an extended warranty... So I either buy a new phone even though I purchased this one and did not cause this current issue. This location is always so crowded! If you don't have an appt. there is not a need to step foot into their fancy doors! Anyway, I had an appt. scheduled for Sunday evening. I had to wait about 10 extra minutes to speak with someone regarding my phone that was having hardware issues. Casey was the tech who assisted me and he was great. He swapped my phone (which was still under warranty) for a brand new one. He was very professional and helpful. Today: Worst Retail Experience Ever. Short Story: Bought an iPhone online. Made an appointment to pick it up. Arrived at my appointment. 45 minutes waiting in vain to pick up iPhone. Cussed out manager, canceled order, stormed out of store. Long story: Bad Experience #1: Finding the damn store. It should not take 10 minutes to find the store. But they recently moved within the mall. But nobody has changed the mall directory. After searching around, I finally find a little sign saying that they've moved a few doors to the left. So I walk down the corridor, expecting to see the store a few doors down on the left. No store. I look down the side corridor to the left. No store. I walk back the direction I'd come. No store. I walk halfway to the other end of the mall. Finally I heard my wife yelling at me... I'd walked past the store twice. You'd think that they would put a sign in front of or inside the store saying "Apple Store". But evidently you're supposed to "just know" that its an Apple Store, despite the fact that nothing visible from the mall corridor says "Apple Store". Bad Experience #2: The greeting, or lack thereof. I had an appointment for 10:30-11:00. Despite the 10 minutes finding the store, I managed to get there at 11:00. So, looking for a guy to check in with. Nobody obvious. Finally find the guy-to-check-in-with. Its the guy staring down at his iPad doing god-knows-what who refuses to make eye contact with customers until they shout "Hey there" at him. Finally he says, OK, I've put you in the queue. Should be 15 minutes. Bad Experience #3: The next half hour Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick goes the clock. Half an hour goes by. I finally go back up to the front of the store, find the guy staring at his iPad, get him to acknowledge my existence, and ask him where I am in the queue. Answer: There are three people in front of you. Someone should be with you shortly. I ask him, in an obviously angry tone of voice, "What is the point in making an appointment if you have to sit around for half an hour to be seen?" Bad Experience #4: The next fifteen minutes. At this point I'm pacing around the store, complaining in a loud voice about the horrible service, "What is the point in making an appointment if they make you sit around for 40 minutes"? Did any of the employees in the store notice that a customer was ready to blow a fuse? Nope. Outcome: I walk back up to the guy with the iPad, get his attention, ask him what is up? The best he can do is "someone will be with you shortly." At that point, in a rather loud voice, "I made an appointment. I've been cooling my heels here for 45 God Damn minutes. Why the HELL do you tell people to make appointments when it CLEARLY doesn't mean a God Damn thing? How do I cancel my order? I am PISSED OFF with your lousy service and I'm done with you guys. At that point, a manager finally notices my existence, absorbs some well-deserved verbal abuse, and cancels the order. Way to go Apple! If anyone needed convincing that you've become arrogant, self-absorbed, surrounded by armies of devoted fans who you can abuse without consequence... Awesome, now I see the light. read more

So I hate iPhones forever now... Last Thursday I went in because I wasn't getting text messages. They tried to fix it. And didn't. I called the next day to book an appointment for this Thursday. I go in to double check my appointment time. I'm waiting for someone. There is no line so you stand there looking stupid. Two other people come after me and get taken before me! Rude. They don't have me on the books. What the heck! The guy talking to me didn't even sound like he was caring or anything. Like oh well bye Felicia....He was like next person please. What a joke. Now I have to waste another day off on this. I cant believe you spend $800 on a phone for it not to work. Ive had iPhones since the 3G one. But never ever again will I buy another one! I came in last week to pick up anew iPhone I ordered online. Service was efficient and I was sent to the setup table to set up my phone. The salesperson had me download all my apps without turning on wifi and I ended up using up all my data for the month and accrue ing overage charges! Then I had to go to my provider and increase my plan for the month so I could use my phone without getting charged overage fees! You would think they would tell a novice to turn on wifi after all it is their business! Will not go back unless I have to read more

Here's my experience from Thursday, January 12th. I made a reservation for 7:00 p.m. to have the battery replaced in my iPhone 6s. Upon arriving at 7:03 p.m. (some very heavy traffic caused me to be a few minutes late), I checked in and was told to sit at a table and someone would be with me shortly. So around 7:45, a tech arrived barely acknowledging the delay, ran a diagnostic on the phone and said they would replace the battery free of charge. After completing the diagnostic, I was told to update the IOS and that would help with the battery performance. Sorry if I'm having trouble believing that but with the recent news about Apple, I don't feel an IOS upgrade will improve the battery performance significantly. While it was good to hear they would replace the battery for free, I was told I would need to leave my phone overnight or reschedule an appointment within the next 4 days to bring it in and possibly have the replacement done while I wait or I may have to still leave it overnight. So here's my problem with this situation, when I asked why I couldn't wait for it to be repaired during my appointment, I was told with a really snarky reply "there's other people ahead of you and the stores closing soon". So why bother with an appointment in the first place? How many people are willing to be without their phone for 24 hours for a 1 hour repair, my guess is not many. Well, I opted to not leave my phone, and to not bother with setting up a follow up appointment at a business that cannot keep a scheduled appointment and also has terrible customer service. I'm seeing this as being a similar issue with a lot of the Apple stores so I'm starting to rethink my commitment to Apple products and maybe it's time for a change.. Oh yeah, after telling the rude technician I was dealing with that I did not want to leave my phone or make a follow up appointment at this location, he snapped at me saying "if you don't do this now, you'll have to start over and make a new appointment" and the he stormed off. read more

I got the white screen of death on my I-phone 4 and wanted to switch to the I-phone 4 my kid had abandoned. Went in and they switched up the sim cards and went home but I couldn't backup the phone from my computer because of the apple ID my kid had left on it and forgotten the password. Went back and got GREAT service from Chrissy and Jen. Phone was reformatted and I was on my way. The store was busy - always is - but I've never had bad service even when I'm totally stressed out because my phone died. Thanks Apple people. read more

My first time inside of an Apple store I read reviews and had friends tell me I'd be in there all day, well when I walked in and seen all the people I was going to turn around but I was greeted by a friendly employee with a iPad asking me what's my name now I had an app at 3:20pm it was 425 so i asked if they will still honor my app he said sure he looked up my name to confirm I had apple care in which I do, so he walked me threw how to backup my phone and told me my phone would be ready in one hour and 10 min , I was so stunned I said cool walked around the mall went back paid 29 bucks and left I was so thrilled I wasn't there all night and my screen is fixed so I had to do a review despite of the horror stories you hear this was different and I was very pleased , I know I went to Mac medics told me they would need my phone for 5-7 days when Apple took care of it immediately so will I return of course I will with no problem I will be sure to have an app and be there on time read more

Once you can get someone to help you the employees have been great. The store is busy so I won't go unless it's during a weekday. Overall the products are great but very expensive and never worth upgrading from one version of something to the very next one... skip 1-2 in between and then it is more reasonable. Updated review, sold my macbook for an Alienware, compare the specs. Still loving my iPad (upgraded from the iPad 1) and iPhone 4S (upgraded from the 3GS). read more

Ugliest Apple store in the country. Which only added to the unpleasant visit I had there on the Wednesday following the Christmas holiday. I had made an appointment to see a specialist about getting a new iPhone. Right in the middle of our appointment, the store announced that one of their workers had resigned and so everyone (including customers) had to stop what they were doing and stand and clap for them while the worker hugged everyone goodbye. This was clearly going to take more than 10 minutes. So we left to do other errands and when I came back, the wait list to buy an iPhone was over an hour long. There were even people waiting who were then told that there were no phones left available. I guess Apple doesn't really need the sales or the customers. They are losing me for life. read more

I went to the store to get two iPhones fixed. They were prompt at my scheduled appointment time to handle my repairs. It took an hour to get both devices back from them which was fine. But here is where they went downhill. When they brought my phone out, my passcode did not work, and I couldn't get into my phone. When I asked why it had been changed, the rep had no idea and began making up some BS answers about having the wrong passcode. I went to the guy that took my phone and verified that he had the correct code, which he did. This annoyed the hell out of me that they tried to give me some BS excuse. Just tell me what happened, but don't lie to me. As a result, they had to wipe my phone back to the factory settings. Luckily I planned for this possibility and backed it up before going there. In the end, everything was fixed and returned accordingly. Bottom line Spoke Store, if you mess something up, own up to it and don't try feeding people BS as a result.
